If Lindblad is promoted to VCARB in the event of Hadjar being promoted, he's gonna perform like crap. Pepe Marti would be better to promote. But I really don't think Hadjar should be promoted to the senior team. It would be a HUGE waste of his talents. The car is literally undriveable for everyone who isn't Verstappen. If he were to replace Tsunoda next year he would perform like crap and then be fired and probably never be able to flex his true talents in F1 again! Do I want him to go to the senior team eventually? Obviously. But it needs to be after Verstappen leaves, thus the car is more driveable.

you are saying as if they are moving to rb with 2025 regs when the switch would likely happen in 2026
if anything, 2026 regs would be different so i cant confirm that yet

I don't exactly know for sure, but I don't really think the Red Bull will be much more driveable next year

#

You have to remember that both Gasly and Albon struggled in the Red Bull before the 2022 regs

#

Yet both flourished in other teams

This poll makes it look like people think Yuki is currently redbulls worst driver.

#

I think he would be out performing both rookies if he was still in the VCARB

novel field
#

i think he’s awful personally

#

since gasly, he’s had de vries, old ricciardo, rookie lawson, and rookie hadjar as teammates

#

and he was pretty even on pace with both rookies despite them having a fraction of the experience

#

unsurprisingly he looks bad as soon as he has a good teammate again

#

Do you think Hadjar would be out performing him in the redbull

novel field
#

Outperforming Tsunoda? Comfortably

#

Probably not getting podiums but certainly points more often than not

And at RBR he came in with no testing and was better than Lawson. They can't keep Liam and drop Yuki next year

novel field
#

Hadjar outqualified him at his second ever race

#

He also hasn’t been any better than Lawson

#

The pace deficit has been higher

# novel field He also hasn’t been any better than Lawson

Red Bull
Max Verstappen versus Yuki Tsunoda
Head-to-head: Verstappen 16 - Tsunoda 0
Average gap: Verstappen ahead by 0.603s
Median gap: Verstappen ahead by 0.540s

Max Verstappen versus Liam Lawson
Head-to-head: Verstappen 3 - Lawson 0
Average gap: Verstappen ahead by 0.880s
Median gap: Verstappen ahead by 0.813s

#

Can't argue with the data

novel field
#

Thats where Tsunoda struggles more

#

He was 2 seconds a lap slower at Monza

#

Over 2 seconds slower at Silverstone

#

And extremely lucky Verstappen didn’t compete at Austria because he was very slow there too

#

Also Tsunoda was further off after Miami than Lawson was

#

So he was further off after 4 races than Lawson was after 2

wispy narwhal
#

Examine the results. Lawson was so hopeless at Red Bull that they dropped him after two races.

novel field
#

Theres two different comparisons though

#

Roughly 1.3s in race pace difference

#

And yes, thats including Tsunoda at VCARB but that probably plays into his hands lets be honest

#

The data for Lawson is slightly harder to find as fewer people study a comparison that no longer has any relevance
