#Did mclaren make the right decision in swapping the positions?

Well McLaren specifically stated in their 'Papaya rules' that an excessive pitstop duration falls under having 'bad luck' pre-race. I find it unfair that they just adjusted that rule right there on the spot and this also causes possible rule-deviations to follow in the future.
I agree, but at the same time (and yes, I acknowledge that my perspective is biased) lando has really been getting fucked lately
He's already reeling from the engine failure in Zandvoort, after that pitstop I would have been ready to kill half of the McLaren staff if I was in his position
Yeah well ultimately it couldve been either way though
If lando hadnt had the engine failure last race would it have been different?
It shouldnt really have effect on piastri what happens with lando
Its not his responsibility
also, they did refer to the precedent of hungary where the same principle was applied
Tru
not saying hungary was right but that the principle of swapping places to compensate for team error was used
are we even watching a championship fight at this point
Oscar should have refused… would liven it up
Seems like we’re watching Zak Brown desperately trying to keep his favorite driver in the fight
any top driver would have refused lmao
mclaren trying to race like snowflakes and its so annoying
Max was asked in an interview if he would have switched if asked and immediately said no way.
EXACTLY
oscar and neither should lando if circumstances arise be paying for mclaren's incompetance
Well there they gave favorable strategy to one driver instead of team error in a pit stop or any other problem
could've pitted lando first idk why they decided that initially
yes i know lando agreed but because they decided beforehand
It was lando that brought it up, they said box this lap to him
