Fully performance-based - Rates drivers based on how much they got out of their car and how they performed in the race, regardless of finishing position.
Performance + Final result - Rates drivers mainly on performance, but finishing result can make an impact
Basically, let's say Hulkenberg drove from P20 to P8.
In the first scenario, he would've likely got a 10, undoubtedly so.
In the second scenario, his finishing result would also have its say, and if leading drivers such as P1, P2, or P3 didn't get a 10, chances are he wouldn't either
Based off of your explanation then yeah fully performamce based would be the way to go
I wanna know though, how would you rate oscar in the current mclaren going from p20 to p8?
(Lets presume he didnt get a lap in during quali coz the car shat itself or badly timed yellow flags, not because he crashed out in q1)
If he had an eventful race (in the good meaning) and actually did a good chunk of overtakes he might get a high rating
But I'm afraid his top car may prevent a 10
Although it heavily depends on circumstances
Also due to the fact that my ratings are split into 3 different sections for every race
Aahhh ok ok
In my ratings quali gives a maximum of 3 points, race gives a maximum of 7, and there are 3 bonus points
If you botched qualifying then you need an absolutely perfect race for a 10
