#America in F1

The fact the US has even made it to 3 races is a disgrace
May as well remove ‘world championship’ from the name
USA and Europe and Middle East world championship
The US makes f1 more money than any other country ever will, so I don’t see it changing anytime soon 🇺🇸
I agree.
Sapang should come back
And America isn't the only Baseball obsessed county
Just ask the Japanese
If it provides good racing i dont mind the US having more races. Thats just my opinion
Only 2 countries actually compete though
They're all good though
Vegas stands for f1 just trying and failing to make a quick buck
And Miami is definitely ass
Austin/COTA is just plain dangerous. I went there and the nearest water station was a mile away. Also, multiple water stations ran out of water. It was over 100 degrees F (37 degrees C) the entire weekend
Nah
I think thats more an infrastructure issue tbf they can probably fix that
Cota is a good track, in an ideal world it would be the only American race
U can't defend miami 😭
Worse track in f1 by a lot
Even Qatar is better
I can try me
What's wrong with qatar too
I really want to hear this
Let me explain
Boring track not made for f1 with dull racing and only 1 overtaking zone
I feel that miami gets a majority of hate from the media environment, which I too dislike but I think it is unfair to judge an entire track from that
The first turn sequence is decent, the esses are quite fun and I enjoy the difficult braking and traction zone leading to the 2nd straight
It gives a challenge to the drivers, as the exit determines the run on the straight
Then after the straight is a hard braking point that can allow for good moves, albeit hindered by the hard to follow esses preceding
Then the run into the chicane isn't terrible
The chicane is just shit I can't defend it, but it doesnt define the entire track
Then the backstraight is good for slipstreaming and with a possible overtake on the hairpin, then the final esses wrap the lap up well
The problem with miami is the fact that every straight and overtaking zone is right after tight single lane sections of track that space the cars out
Without drs next year the problem will only get worse
In my opinion the track does not have good flow as well. But that's secondary to good racing which this track does not provide
It is simply to hard to overtake without a huge pace differntal
Becuase of the track layout
It's hasn't been on the calendar for a long time, I think the new regs might turn the tables next year and allow miami to change its reputation
With the new regs big new changes to the racing dynamic is possible so who knows
And I've found the races I've watched in miami quite fun
The track flow and driving is better than alot of the tracks on the calendar imo
Miamis good races are becuase of factors outside of the track itself. Though I haven't watched the 2022 race at miami so that may be an uninformed opinon. But 2024 would have been a snoozer without kmag and Sargent crashing. Also I feel the new regs will make this worse. No drs and less dirty air means harder to get alongside on straights plus I feel the 2026 cars will struggle the most in medium and high speed corners but again uneducated opion. Hard disaggre on driving flow but that's a matter of opinon
True, the cars in 2026 can change in ways none of us could predict so I think it would be better to give the track a "trial" period first. Thanks for the talk
All good, never seen someone who liked miami before so it was an interesting chat
The esses are horrendous as there is only one viable line through them
The start/finish straight is also too short
That really applies to most ess sequences
it does not
Yea it pretty much does
You lose quite some time for example, in maggotts and becketts
Or the suzuka snake
It's just modern f1
