#Singles or LP's?

I listen to both
And usually I have both on playlists especially if the single didn't pop-up on an album and is instead a sole single
Exhibit A: The Weeknd's Dancing In The Flames
Or if the single version of a song is that much different to it's album counterpart
Exhibit B: Kendrick Lamar's i
the beatles used to have a thing where they wouldn’t put singles on their albums because they felt like that was cheap and asking people to buy the same song twice
really interesting
I wonder what that would have looked like if they did try to make their singles fit into their albums
Cohesive or not
a lot of their singles could’ve easily fit on their albums
they just didnt put them on there very intentionally
for example Paperback Writer would’ve absolutely fit perfectly on Revolver
and Hey Jude on The White Album
That can apply to this though the reasoning is quite different
While The Beatles generally didn't have singles on their albums, Dancing In The Flames was supposed to be on
As the lead single
But (I assume because of the events of what happened in LA last January) it disappeared off the tracklist
out of the loop here, what happened?
because of the wildfires?
ohh right
the title does sound a bit yeah
Still a bit weird considering Take Me Back To LA DID end up on that project (and thank god Abel finally released it because it's one of if not my favorite off that album, dude had that in the vault for 5 years)
And the project only released at the end of January
i definitely need to listen to his later works in full
wild take but i didnt really like House of Balloons when i listened to it
I'd personally rank
only 4th in Abel's discography
My general ranking is
