in case you are unaware of the mcl38 rear wing, it has been constructed in such a way that at high speed, the force of the fast airflow causes the drs flap to flex when closed, creating a small gap and reducing the wing angle slightly
when the driver brakes, the wing returns to its original shape and restores full downforce
this allows the McLaren to reduce its drag on the straights by a small amount without having to compromise downforce for the corners
