E85.
It would be easier to run existing cars using a more sustainable means of generating starch.
I looked into E. Coli but the literature is buried under pay walls
biofuel or hydrogen powered electric motors
sooner or later the pollution, unethical mining and the fact that metals like cobalt are also finite will result in BEVs being seen by the general public as bad in their own ways
hydrogen combustion tech seems too inefficient when they can just use hydrogen powered motors
biofuel would probably be the only real way to keep combustion engines, most people view cars as an appliance so high range, fuel economy, low noise and high efficiency are the things that attract them
and electric cars tick all these boxes except maybe range but that will only get better
I thought biofuel was hard to make/get
It is hard on the environment if you use corn syrup to make it.
The only negative thing about it is that as it a methanol or ethanol mix, people will go to the pump and get drunk on the stuff. It will then kill you.
💀 at least people will pay for petrol/alchol
