yeah he did but if they pitted oscar 2 laps earlier instead of worrying about hamilton undercutting them, then oscar would have stayed in his position and they wouldn’t have to guilt Lando into giving back the position once he got it from their mistake. It would’ve made Mclaren look so much better as a team. everyone would’ve praised their amazing 1-2 finish instead of talking about the awkward team radio for the final laps of the race. and Oscars first win wouldn’t have felt the way it did. in the end it was a bad call from McLaren. Norris was an obligated to get the position back and Oscar did deserve that win if McLaren didn’t shit the bed. They have the faster car, they just need to work on their strategies.

yes, Lando put 6 seconds on Oscar, but Lando also gained 5-6 seconds (Oscar was 2-3 seconds in front of Lando before Lando pitted and Oscar came out 3 seconds behind) from getting the undercut, i reckon the actual result would've been much closer than one way or the other.

They actually should've pitted oscar first and the lap after lando, there wasn't any threat from hamilton behind and they would've still come out 1-2 after the pitstops. Lando was faster on the last stint but that way it would've been an actual fight instead of trying to convince lando to swap positions
