YASSS
YAY
HE FUCKING SLAYS
Yippiee yookie ❤️
WE LOVE YUKI!!!
I’m happy but kinda disappointed

I was expecting more transfers for 2025
WE LOVE YUKI👏 👏👏(start chant here)
Let's gooo Yuki ! 👏
Deserved
was hoping for yuki to do a multi-year deal (at least 2 years) but i'll take this!
well aston seems more likely for 2026, hence why i could see yuki not committing to a 2 year with vcarb just in case
fernando's contract i think is up in 2026
f1 clowing 😭
yuki pookie!!
puki
YUKI MY POOKIE
YOOKIE
YOOKIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Jos Mama
now we just need Lawson seat announcement
🙏
Danny ric is gone
Yessss 😁
LET'S GOOOOOOOO!!!
REALLLLLLL
lawson???
Yeah... what about Lawson?
Riccardo has no consistency
as a kiwi I need lawson soon or I'm gonna cry
lawson will likely be leaving red bull family tbh
rb gives vibes that danny is staying
NO.
they just wanted to announce yuki first bc they felt threatened by other teams potentially trying to capitalize on his contract expiring, so if they locked him in now for 2025 they at least have some more time with him
HE'S KINDA LIKE PEREZ. HE BRINGS THEM MONEY
bruh
danny is rly good for sponsorships
plus horner seems to most likely wanna slot danny in perez's seat at some point. it would be easier to promote him from vcarb to that red bull seat in 2027
who cares about sponsorships if he constantly gets out-performed by his less experienced teammate
Can't wait for the grid to be full of men in the their 40s and 50s leading to the death of the sport because of
i think prob bc vcarb is a midfield team
perez being retained by red bull makes sense bc perez heavily appeals to ford, who will be helping red bull with their power units
so if they wanna stay on ford's good side, esp. after the debacle with horner, it literally makes the most sense to keep perez. he embodies the family values and everything ford as a company claims to represent. plus, he also is more profitable in latin america than max is, so red bull can farm money from that too as needed just as a bonus
No, it’s just cause Perez supports Horner
Like that is the only reason
me when the f2 drivers can't get a seat bc we are recycling danny ric
Marko would fire him in 10 seconds if it wasn’t for Horner
i kinda thought neither of them like perez. horner loves danny more than perez
like if danny showed more consistency perez would be GONE
Perez likes Horner and Max doesn’t
he's just there only bc he fits red bull's criteria of he's an experienced driver and he won't threaten max
yeah, max supports marko
He wants at least one driver that likes him on the team
that's rly i think all red bull wants
Marko fires drivers after one bad race, he wouldn’t keep Perez on for so long
esp. with what happened with gasly and albon
that doesn't change the fact he's hardly able to keep up, this is only the second time ricciardo has outqualified tsunoda this season
The problem is max doesn’t want to be Alonso, he wants to retire in the next 5-10 years
yeah def perez would've been out before 2023 if it were marko running the show
Like they need a successor semi soon
i mean ricciardo is also the face of red bull outside of max. i think daniel should've been sacked and lawson should've been in that seat since the start of the season, imo, and if i had my way that's how it would've been
i honestly can see max leaving f1 after '28 to go do le mans
or even the triple crown
he already has multiple monaco wins
my most logical thought is they're basically grooming yuki to take over max's seat, unless honda intervenes and is able to secure him an aston seat in 2026
def he wants a triple crown. that guy lives and breathes racing
if yuki's out of the picture i guess their next best alternative is prob gonna be hadjar?
sainz could go to red bull once max is gone bc the only real reason why sainz can't go to red bull rn is bc sainz sr and jos would probably murder each other
but depending on how red bull making their own engine goes, we could see max leave even before 2028 if it's that bad
ricciardo tho is just flat out washed. his time in f1 needs to end soon.
like atp if they rly want ricciardo that bad either just make him the social media guy or for shits and giggles make him a reserve driver
yeah, de vries was out much faster than daniel. granted, de vries was not very good so i see why he was removed, but i do think de vries deserved more time, esp. if they're being this patient with daniel (and even perez)
we are getting to that point where the 2010-2014 gen of drivers will start retiring
can i count fernando as this?
considering he was in f1 prior to that point but came back
bottas, ricciardo, magnussen and maybe hulkenberg are all gonna go within the next few years
hulkenberg def is retiring soon
i could see magnussen retiring the second he's out of an f1 contract
eh maybe
he's more of an older gen of f1 drivers tho
it's just his longevity
hamilton will still go for his 8th i know it
i don't see a world where once magnussen is out of a seat where another team would pick him up
but he might wanna think about retiring if ferrari doesn't get up to speed in 2026
no definitely. that's why he left for ferrari
ferrari is def going to be hamilton's last team
it's almost like vettel tbh
irrespective of whether he gets his 8th
yeah
once he doesn't have a good season with the team he won championships with he leaves for ferrari
my gut feeling is lewis is either retiring as soon as he gets his 8th championship or if ferrari isn't making any progress by 2028
and then gets screwed over by them (don't really want that to happen to hamilton though as much as I dislike him)
yeah, i don't like hamilton, but he did a lot for merc
I also think Ocon could be heading out soonish
like merc isn't wrong for prioritizing george over lewis rn considering george will be staying and he is for rn merc's immediate future, but i don't think they should be treating lewis as a test dummy tho
ocon will be gone prob before hulkenberg or bottas
ocon is not really very desirable just given his history with teammates
he is occasionally quick but yeah
i don't count him and pierre considering it's kind of public knowledge ocon and gasly do not really get along
nor do they rly like each other
what's the point in being fast when you maldonado into your teammates' sidepod every weekend
he shows a good race like super rarely
you remember an ocon crash or an ocon penalty more than an ocon overtake
yeah
i think so
you win the wd(estructor)c and make your engineers pissy
"kimi get out the fucking way" ahh
my gut feeling abt ocon was alpine was planning on dropping him at the end of the year anyways, but didn't have a solid reason to do so.
monaco just happened to be a really good way for bruno famin to announce ocon's out without looking as bad abt it considering ocon was outqualifying and typically doing better than gasly despite their cars both being shit
which explains the language he used
do i think ocon deserved the online hate over what happened with him and gasly? absolutely not. he's an idiot but i don't think he should be getting that much hate for it, and i don't think how famin handled it helped the matters.
but i don't see ocon on the grid in 2025 unless a team is super desperate (e.g., merc is desperately finding someone to do a one year stint while they wait for kimi antonelli to do one more year in F2)
it just makes social media even more upset I think, particularly those that are true fans of alpine as a team
i honestly don't know what alpine was expecting pairing ocon and gasly together knowing their history
it was not going to be pretty either way, even if they did manage to get along
probably just because 🇫🇷
no def it's bc french
gasly just happened to be french and open for offers
yeah
at the end of the day, whilst Ocon isn't actually that bad of a driver I don't see him getting much further into a career
most of the drivers on the grid were here before 2020
except like
sargeant, zhou, tsunoda and piastri
yeah
tsunoda was 2021
sargeant and piastri were last year
i lowkey feel bad for sargeant
he wasn't really known till he had that crash in silverstone
i still don't know much abt zhou outside of the fact he has a cat, he loves fernando alonso, and he tends to have pretty fire helmets even tho his car is shit
he's a good driver, with potential, but could have been given more time in f2
and he was p10 in his debut race
sargeant or zhou
that's why I'm afraid of people who want antonelli next year
sargeant
yeah definitely
sargeant really could've done well in f1 if he had more time in f2 + some of the sim work oscar had
as much as I love antonelli he hasn't fully adjusted to either an f2 or f1 car yet
that being considered yuki didn't have much work with an f1 car or even a simulator before making the jump to f1
my only fear with antonelli is he's being overhyped now and they're gonna ruin his career accidentally
if he jumps straight into a mercedes he's likely to crack under pressure in his first season and perform poorly compared to russell
yeah i think that's most likely to happen
which sucks because his talent is genuinely through the roof
he just needs more time than half a year
i think sargeant was a pick just to prove the williams academy project actually is successful, but vowles realize this was a mistake and he needed more time
but he couldn't just ditch him after one season bc optically that would look kinda shit
yeah
and even then logan's second season isn't truly representative given all of williams' other problems going on. sure, logan is by no means near albon skill wise, but he has closed the gap somewhat even if the results don't show it
the fact that they don't have equal machinery either doesn't help
but that's not really either of their faults. that's just what happened when vowles overhauled how williams handles manufacturing and upgrades - it's a messy process
most of the time regardless of how many km they have in an F1 car they won't be able to adjust fully until about the 5th race of the season, and many take longer than that
i do think once logan and alex have a relatively equally upgraded car, i think logan's progress will shine more
my gut feeling is to be safe kimi's gonna need a lot more than 5 races
at least with bearman i feel more comfortable throwing him in f1 bc he's had several years of f2 under his belt + he's also currently a reserve driver and participating in fp tests
so he has some experience with f1 cars
and definitely is adjusted to f2
plus no one really knows if the results from the test are going to even carry over to f1
bc getting absolutely destroyed your first year isn't a confidence help, and the less experience you have doesn't serve you well to gain some confidence into your next year (e.g., sargeant)
it's in the W13 as well which handles completely different to the W15 or even the W14 due to 2022's understeer problems and porpoising
yeah, i remember it wasn't the W14
