#Can F1 drivers use the number 0?

Apparently they are? Just not 1. They were used in the past because fia did fia things and numbers were assigned on the previous years constructors results. When the reigning champion retired the number 1 would be taken out of circulation for that year and replaced with 0.
Yes, see the Williams team in 1994 (after Alain Prost won the WDC and retired), since numbers were awarded to championship standings, Williams were 1 and 2, but since Prost had retired, they couldn't use 1, hence 0
I believe it was only used in special cases like these, and after drivers could pick numbers in 2014 it was phased out
Yeah in the current system I think the actual answer is no one knows. Places say you can, other places say you can't. I don't think anyone's ever tried, and the FIA hasn't outright confirmed either way. I suspect if someone wanted it bad enough we'd find out.
That's assuming the team doesn't veto it like McLaren allegedly did to Lando when he asked for 69 (a story which might've been a joke).
Yeah I think 69 is also a fine line. Not sure lmao
FIA would allow it I'm sure. Worst case you say it's a reference to something in your personal life or whatever
