Here is why Chinese F4 shouldnt be discussed in feeder series

  1. Not Credible

Chinese F4 should not be considered a feeder series due to several key reasons. Firstly, a feeder series is typically designed to serve as a stepping stone for aspiring drivers to develop their skills and progress towards higher levels of motorsport competition. While Chinese F4 does provide a platform for young drivers to gain experience, it lacks the global recognition and competitiveness of other well-established feeder series. Unlike renowned feeder series such as Formula 2 or Formula 3, Chinese F4 lacks the same level of exposure, top-tier teams, and participation from talented drivers worldwide. Additionally, a feeder series should ideally be part of a broader, well-connected ladder leading to the pinnacle of motorsport, Formula 1. However, Chinese F4 has limited integration with the F1 development pathway, hindering its credibility as a true feeder series. To solidify its position as a genuine feeder series, Chinese F4 would need to expand its scope, attract international talent, and forge stronger ties with higher echelons of motorsport.

  1. Not Founded by the FIA or FIA Certified

According to Wikipedia, The Chinese championship was launched by Narcar International Racing Development Co., Ltd. on 11 September 2014. And was not founded by anything related to the FIA. It is only certified by the FIA Singleseater Commission, and that is why it is hence “Chinese Formula 4”, and is not officiated by any FIA.

With this, Chinese F4 should not be considered a feeder series, and there should be instead a thread in #formula-1.
