No gloves, no helmet, no racing suit, but got slip ons. True racing legend.
oldschool video when Mansell was Scuderia Ferrari driver
I didn't even know there was a video of that.
I heard stories about him driving the F40, but never saw it.
Salut !!!
Bonne lecture à tous !!!

Also... I'm a little more pre-disposed to the F50 GT
The F50 GT is one hell of a car
The f50 gt is still the fastest closed fender Ferrari around fiorano
It’s record may come under fire from the f255 but it’s been a hell of a run
(F255 is Ferrari’s lemans hypercar)
Bruh the F50 GT is a dream for Ferrari
It's like the Ferrari 90's approach to a Valkyrie
Or T50
Get an F1 engine... Silhouette, go
Bellissimo
The think weighed 860kg dry
I believe the lmh car will be run around fiorano in June
The f50 was already constructed similar to a lemans prototype
Carbon fiber monocoque with the engine being a stressed member of the chassis
I'm aware with like the stressed engine, ye
But like... Wasn't the F50 heavier than the F40?
The F50 was also slower
3000lbs each
As much as I love the F40, I think the F50 wins when it comes to the cool factor.
That almost direct connection between the F50's engine and the Formula 1 engine is fantastic.
There is something so cool about the F50 that makes it stand out
Tmk the f50 could lap certain tracks quicker then the f40, but the f40 is much easier to extract performance out of with an amateur driver
However if you have someone like Jean alesi drive both cars the f50 will be a bit quicker
No doubt the f40 is quicker on the straights though
Both cars are not as hard to drive as people think
The f40 is very predictable and easy to get out of a slide
I think it's the misconception of turbo lag. At least from sim experience, I don't think it's as bad as people make it out to be.
Sweet dreams

Hello 👋
My wheels are on back order for the pst 3 months so don’t mind the 💩 fitment
just get spacers maybe if that's an option, although I may not know if your getting new wheels for looks or for the fitment
also nice golf
Both
I’ve got Rotiform RSE 19x8.5 45 offset coming in
They’ll add another 18.6mm poke so it’ll be snug fitment on the rear and perfect on the front
Those wheels are out of stock in the states as well and idk why it’s taking so long for that exact specs to be made
Then I’m adding 2 aero discs to the front and putting some sick patterns in
And I gotta wait for my wheels before I install lowering springs
Likely gonna get some old beater bike and fix it up with my dad this summer
He’s like a motorcycle master
He’s taken apart rust buckets with broken engines and turned them into practically new bikes

Yeahhhh this indeed was true
same way ayrton senna had big inputs on the original nsx
ok sorry
no problem
I previously thought virtual cars were allowed
Two Deltas at last year's Greenwich, I guess.
is it only a coincidence the black Lancia had "wrc" on their plates, or was it intended?
I think it was intended. This is in the U.S., so the European plates aren't really functional.
Ah make sense
interesting, i think mine would be:
- Ferrari F40
- Porsche Carrera GT
- Porsche Carrera 911 RSR 2.8
- Audi RS7 Sportback
- Lamborghini Urus
you may be wondering "out of all lamborghinis why an urus?" but like, i love SUVs and i definitely want to have one in my dream garage
tbh, any of these SUVs would do:
-Lamborghini Urus
-Bentley Bentayga
-Rolls-Royce Cullinan
-Alfa Romeo Stelvio
-Maserati Levante
-Aston Martin DBX
-Cadillac Escalade
-Range Rover Vogue
-Mercedes-Benz GLC 63 S
but the Urus is my favorite out of all of them
How bout Porsche Macan or Taycan?
the Taycan for me is closer to smth like a Panamera (aesthetically), but the Macan is a good one too
Hard to disagree with that
Macan looks more beefy
i see
all good dude
i was gonna justify my point then you corrected it and i was like "oh nvm lmao"
sorry for making it a hassle for you man
no worries
nice
cursed supra
fk
i cant unsee that
illl never be able to look at a supra the same now
WHY
these things use to be in the 4 digits now they are 30K and over initial D really ruined these prices huh
thats more like it
you have some taste G dawg

there is probably way more that i just forgot
- Nissan R32
- Toyota AE86
- Nissan Silvia s13
- Acura NSX
- Ferrari 458 Italia
R32 is based
manafacturing also stopped so alot more rarer
yup
r33 is great but doesn't hit the same
nahhh
r33 is the most underrated
you know whats crazy
the GTST version of the R33 is even more overrated than the GTR version itself
I’d go for an R33 over an R34
that would be a humble decision
with the R34 you're gonna have to drive slow and use your fuel in the worst way possible because JDM fan boys are gonna crowd the street asking to take a picture with your 34
It’s a shame what 12 year olds can do. Instead of acknowledging the R34 for its accomplishments in racing, they decided to acknowledge it for roll racing and the FNF franchise
Oh wait, they’re 12 year olds, of course they wouldn’t know about its accomplishments in the JGTC
maturing is liking the cars that you didn't like when you were younger
it would be better if they discovered the 34 through initial D
they won't rice the cars up in the future but instead
they'll keep it nice
That or best motoring
and drive it well
yeah
legit lol
honestly
i use to shit on euroDM claiming it was for rich salty millionaires (back in my JDM fanboy times and you guessed it, i was 12)
and look where i am now
kissing the toes of the engineers that made these euroDM cars possible
Used to loathe American muscle when I was still a JDM stan, but now I like em. One of my faves is the 1970 Ford Maverick
if you asked me if i wanted a peugoet 106 like 5 years ago i would've told you to fuck off
now i think they're pretty banging
i kinda hate their new logo lowkey
my favorite model
Peugeot 406 STW
honestly was a great car
now i want one, kinda ironic my mum had to scrap it a few years back
its cheap
and you can rally that shit
would be a good first car for a motorsports enthusiast
you can time attack
rally
legit anything
when its first cars
euroDM old hatches are the best choice
cheap
fun
some are reliable
Looks peng 😍
init
I would have that for all my live
nah
yeah legit
when it comes to stock 306 is my fav
when it comes to rally spec 206 is my fav
i like the 306 the most but i could definitely start to love the 106
who doesn't love that small car

I've known about Shelby's unusual collaborations, but Toyota was one I never expected.
This car is beautiful.
The paintwork is just lovely.
Shelby's blue across the front, Toyota's red accenting the side.
I especially like how the other two wheel locks are red.
yes
the lines on these are really nice, you don't realize how beautiful they are until you see one in person

I'd show up in the GTI because it says "im a car guy but i do not have a very small penis" unlike supercars do
Looks like a game
Now, forgive my speculation, but that sounds like a man who might indeed have a very small penis
if you insist
Yep it's GTA5
what graphics mod are you using
Natural Vision Evolved
mmm okay tq
1uz
Ah the "Thing"
I see a hint of Diablo in it.
it looks massive
I’m struggling to figure out why people don’t want an na v12 paired to a hybrid system
im just more inclined to V12
not plug-in hybrids
its alright tho
V12 plug-ins
the plugins imo don't compromise the experience of the na v12 unlike a turbo
the laferrari uses one because luca de montozemolo and machionne didn't want a turbocharged v12
we have to see that
this will be similar to sian tech
"The technology is different, it's a completely new engine, a completely new drivetrain, a new battery, everything is completely new. There's nothing out of the Sián or out of the Aventador [in the next flagship]," he said."https://www.autoblog.com/2021/07/09/lamborghinis-aventador-replacement-will-receive-a-new-v12-engine/?guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ29vZ2xlLmNvbS8&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAAJEmxfRaP_pKMxMA1zLoLmZMmZSjuawamq7HB4R-_dxG1-pHLAryKeOrKaYvZNtSANfNtjN2YQuldYDV5eJRyuybi2akPmWz6wceNnaDFUuf_Kud5yEWyYErQTnpKKNZriccpCQBSD9MhfulHI13FHzynkIVpgaWufJxLcrRyvjz
the supercapacitors weren't generating the desired power
last current gen v12, the na v12 in this is a brand new unit
right
last time they changed the v12 was from the murcielago sv to the first gen aventador
What's the problem tho
Plug in is a great solution
Making the cars more efficient and better for the future
seeing that way ya
But it also still keeps the emotion of the v12
Hybrid that can work independent from the engine
So you can drive on complete electric
And charge the car without using the engine
They can run together or separately
So the car will be even quicker
With the electric motor
Np
any disadvantage tho?
Both of my families cars are plug in hybrids
which ones
The disadvantage of Hybrids? Weight and space
The advantage if you're Porsche? 100mpg V8
Thanks for that
For example the Aston Martin Valkyrie is a Hybrid
I'd love to know what that does to the efficiency for a 6.5L 11,000rpm V12
More torque lower down
Well yes
Powerband becomes wider
But what that does for emissions and MPG
May have a slight improvement
I would assume a fairly significant one but not insane like the Panameras of course
:(
Fr tho Mitsubishi had the worst glow down in the history of cars
It’s up there with Lancia tbh
wow
Sian was a shitbox with less power generated by the electric motor the electric motor from a Prius
It’s was just a small motor in the gearbox
Lambo simply can’t do that for the next gen v12 flagship because it is need electric motors to compete with the v8 engined supercars
Even still as those cars get hybrid systems the v12 just doesn’t make sense now sadly
See Lamborghini usually doesn’t care about weight that much
Just remember, they have no plans to kill the v12 even into the 2030s
Hmm
Plug in hybrid supercar
Feels so wrong
But that’s what the future holds, isnt it
Spotted this beauty while at a local fair
seems like u referring to that lady on the right 🤨
Nope
kinda sus but the car is a beauty ngl
It’s a 2022 Chevrolet Corvette
idk, as long as it has an na v12 its fine for me
Let's take what we can get.
well they're putting the second v12 refresh since the first aventador in the successor
the question is what its gonna sound like
It's better than making it electric, no?
I know.
I hope we can see a good one, someday.
A manual-hybrid would make an amazing pair with a good engine.
mazda in the patents at least is working on an fr 3 rotor sports car with a transaxle
I'm curious how that would be. I don't think we've ever had that combination.
the battery is positioned behind the seat
the laferrari has proven it can work
they just need to cut down on weight
Oh, I know we can certainly get naturally-aspirated hybrids to work, and we can definitely have a lightweight hybrid if we try.
A rotary hybrid, I mean. I don't think that's ever happened.
I don't suppose the technology would change that much.
mazda's been experimenting with several configurations, hydrogen rotaries as well
direct injection, one of the things missing from the last gen of rotary sports cars
yes its possib;e
That's good news.
as for ferrari, they've started work on their new v12
this iirc is supposed to be a hybrid assist na v12
We need to get this ball rolling if we're going to beat the all-electric mandates governments are putting out.
ferrari's been developing f167 since 2017 or prior
Hopefully it can change some people's minds.
not sure about displacement but its anywhere from 4-6.0 liters
I also hope the development on synthetic fuels goes well.
power outputs have been estimated as high as 1000hp
id imagine that's the 6.0 liter unit though
It sucks that we're in this situation.
We have the ability to make efficient engines, and even better alternatives in the form of hydrogen vehicles.
Yet still, everyone is adamant on electric.
hydrogen also contributes to greenhouse gases
the main issue with ev's is we don't know how recycling them will work out in 10 years time
its certainly better then ice but there's no true zero emmision solution at the moment
another thing i'd reccomend is shrinking the size of cars rather then enlarging them
ferrari actually predicted that they'd get smaller instead of moving to crossovers in 2007, though unfortunately they were wrong
they made a concept study of an ultra lightweight phev hypercar that eventually grew in size and became the laferrari
That would definitely help.
It's going to take a while before the average buyer wants a small car again, sadly.
Hopefully these fuel prices start that shift back to city cars.
issue is that crossovers and suv's alone were able to nullify any progress of evs or phevs in 2020 emmissions wise
I wish people would downsize.
it is alarming that we aren't using less resource intensive downsized cars
I imagine it will take a combination of higher fuel prices and denser urban centers before the city car can have a revival.
I want it to. The city car should have never faded into obscurity, at least in the U.S.
well im in the us and i can tell you cars are getting bigger day by day
No, I know. I live here too.
My mother drives a Santa Fe and wonders why she spends so much at the pump.
We're not in car seats anymore. My brother and I drive ourselves. She doesn't need all of the space.
- And besides, you can fit a lot in a small car with the right approach.
I've gone on a two-person skiing trip in my little Kia.
Mind you, I hardly used the trunk.
It's a combination of "big car = safe car" and this false perception of utility that allows the crossover and S.U.V. market to thrive as much as it has.
My pessimistic guess is that it's going to take a catastrophe to change that trend, whether it's a spike in fuel prices much like the Recesssion, or a controversy like the one that killed the North American Suzuki Samurai.
a spike in fuel prices may kill sports cars with it
the hope for me is that downsized cars may get more manufacturers to make light sports cars again
i feel like the emira is too heavy for an average lotus imo
plus its not an entirely new car
It is. New Lotuses are straying away from the original design philosophy.
still a very pretty car tho
my dad once parked near a car that was almost identical to the one he had when I was little
same model, same colour
the licence plate was 1 letter off
that was it
this was the actual pickup
my stickers still on the window

This is a couple cities over from me
But fkwtkwgkktwkfqjjr
a tank
I hope this new Lambo gets the exhaust right
oh this isn't the aventador successor being teased iirc
the coming soon teaser iirc is for the "huracan tecnica"
also, it may sound very different, this new v12 shares nothing in common with the v12 in the aventador
Oh wow that's a surprise
I mean it's not like the L359 can't sound good, because with some longer, different tubes it sounds great in the Essenza SCV12
that's a track only machine though
i usually find the sound of the ferrari v12s more attractive
Oh yeah definitely, or even Cosworth's outings
It's just having pipes close together or put into one to give it some extra layers
ferrari's intake technology is also superior, they have a 20 year old engine that rivals the power output of the huayra r's v12 in the road going daytona sp3
they've been using the same architechture from the v12, and that wasn't designed entirely from the ground up
the first f140v12
I find that approach to building alot cooler too
the latest f140
the v12's design is borrowed from the maserati quattroporte's v8 with extra cylinders
Damn I didn't realise it was that way around
Funny it went back in a Maserati then
yep
ferrari has a new v12 in development now given that the f140 power unit is 20 years old as of 2022
I guess it makes sense because you'd need to integrate a Hybrid system better, I find it funny that Lamborghini/VW would give their V12 only one preverbial generation
Though if they go electric front axle, then having the engine the right way around would be nice
well the aventador is the second generation lamborghini v12
I know
But they only used it for one platform, albeit with 11 years
As opposed to Ferrari with like... 8 models?
9?
somewhere around that, they introduced the f140 earlier though
what's interesting is tha the current aventador v12 has multipoint injection
as opposed to direct injection
I like seeing an engine revised and revised until it's good, albeit Ferrari did that wrongly with the Tipo.041
Multipoint is good
Having Direct and Port is good
i think with lamborghini its just the intake technology that they're behind
then again ferrari has honed the technology to perfection
Being GOATed in F1 during the start of development certainly helps
Also I'd love to see engines get a bit more smaller and revvy with the electric components coming in, the N/A bois that is
that's whats happening
ferrari's new power unit is smaller but more rev happy
im hearing some ludicrous power outputs from the engine not even paired with the hybrid system
Hearing from where?
sources closer to the factory, ferrari themselves announced f167 back in 2017
Also yeah having say twin port injectors, then a pre-chamber direct, in like a 5.4L guise to do like 10,500rpm
O
the engine is supposed to be anywhere from 4.0 liters to 6.0 liters
Inb4 it's like a 296 and they go the 120°V12 route
That'd be bliss
I wonder if they're building this new one to out-do Cosworth's endeavours
not sure about that, but im hearing the goal is 10,000rpm
Makes sense
power output is probably combined 1000hp the more i think of it, i don't see a 4.0 liter v12 doing that
No... But allowing for a wider displacement range could
6.0 liter with no constraints architecture wise could do it
Well Cozzie can make a 6.5 do 1,000 on it's own so I wouldn't be surprised
Especially if the newest F140's are making 830
id imagine ferrari could make a more reliable and smaller yet just as powerful v12 as cosworth could
the one thing holding f140 back is its age
f140s are pretty strong
the valk on the other hand
rebuild every 20-50k miles?
100,000km or 120,000km I can't remember which
62k
So 62,000 to 75,000 miles
ferraris over time have gotten more reliable
Way better than AMG's One tho
the f50's v12 is considered bulletproof
however servicing it can be an issue being a structural member of the chassis
the amg one is under a ton of stress
That has an interval of 35,000mi
the valkyrie like the f50 also has the engine as a stressed member
its significantly more complex then f1 engines were in the mid 1990s
yes but the Valkyrie is better in every way
i would have the valkyrie over the amg one
the valkyrie also exists, they're still having issues testing the project one
well the amg project one is as well, imo the best all around hypercar of the 2010s still belongs to the laferrari
Well that's my point
The AMG One tried very hard to be like... A Hybrid, F1 engined car
Then the Valkyrie just said nah les make a semi evolution of a 1992 Group C car
Now I don’t know much about cars but does anyone else love the Mazda MX-5
Idk if that’s weird or not
But yeah
I love it.
I always say this:
The MX-5 is to GT racing what the kart is to Formula racing.
the Civic too

Not too sure about the twin turbos
imo it would be better if they take the turbos out and tune it to about 500hp, sure itll be slower but it'll be a better driver's car
my personal wish would be a detuned and slightly downsized valkyrie v12
perhaps 9,000rpm and 700hp
That is called the "V8 Vantage" and you can buy one from £120,900
Well, it still has the turbos, but it is 500 hp
I think he just wants an older generation v12 vantage
vantage f1 edition with halford’s carbon bits slapped on
i actually quite like it though
I’d rather have it then the f1 edition tbh
oh same
None of them compete with the late 2000s v12 vantage though
my favourite from the current vantage family is the v12 speedster though
Bro that'd be fire but probably real hard packaging wise
i mean you can’t really just downsize an engine either
they wouldn’t spend all that money on developing a new engine just for that one car
they're not spending the money to keep making the V12 that actually exists
Also if a Vantage could get the Cozzie then the DBS probably would've
Does anybody remember the Audi Avus Quattro?
yes
Led to the veyron
ikr
that is vile
so glad it didn’t get made
just an uglier vw nardo
that's nasty
My first track-day might be next weekend.
I'm anxious, because I need to get new tires as soon as possible.
what car are you taking
My Kia.
It's all I have.
The course is short, though. Most of it is turns.
What it lacks in power, it makes up for in surprisingly capable handling.
With performance road tires, it should be even better in that regard.
what model kia
It's a Forte S, from 2017.
It has around 140 horsepower, at least at the engine, and a gross weight of roughly 2,800 pounds/1,270 kilograms.
Sadly, it's paired with a six-speed auto, although I shift sequentially when driving for fun.
It's no weapon, but it's a track day. There's bound to be some other economy cars there.
Besides, I'm more interested in seeing how well I can keep up.
this ^
Congrats @neon nacelle, you're now on lap 10
slow car fast
Hello
Exactly.
.
That's a sick Mini
I'm not sure what it is, but something tells me we're going to see the birth of a new class of car.
I've been looking at some mules and concepts, starting back with the Huracan Sterrato concept.
This was back when this boom in love for cars from the Seventies and Eighties was really starting. Of course, in 2022, it's full-swing.
Car shows for that era are probably more common than ever before, and the prices are up just as much.
I don't.
But, I was going to mention that part of it is this boom in love for rally cars, particularly safari cars.
I can't think of safari builds and the Lancia Delta being more popular than it is now.
I think manufacturers are taking notice. We've seen the offroad 911 mule, and the like.
Just last week, Prodrive announced this, the Hunter:
It's essentially a road-going version of their Dakar racer.
More importantly, what caught my eye was the slogan: "The world's first all-terrain hypercar."
At this same time, Glickenhaus has been cooking up something much like it, the SCG 008:
My question is whether or not this is going to be a thing in the coming years.
- The all-terrain supercar.
idk, on the other hand if you look at wrc that class is looking like its shriveling up day by day
while this love for safari type builds has increased i would like to see more action in the top levels of rally like group a as opposed to group b
I'm unsure if we'll see that happen. The cost is obscene.
At this point, there's more to be gained in the consumer market.
It's sad that we've had to come to that point, because I very well believe that what wins on Sunday, sells on Monday.
Until the FIA can get those costs down, however, we'll have to stick to the market alone.
lol i posted this on tik tok
sideways 😐 damn
there
thats better
^My dad when he used to race Miatas in like 2004-2006
dug them up
Spec Miata?
where's that at? clearly USA.
It's not Road Atlanta, is it?
in the dino
The first picture looks like it was taken on the hill.
never been there
Not too sure where it is taken as in 2006 my pit crew pass is me in a blanket as a baby when I'm 2 but we did race in the midwest a lot, we live in south-east michigan so anywhere within a thousand miles is a good possibility
and I also have the 2000,2001,2002 US GP posters hanging, framed in my basement
but it was a 95 mx5 I think
sold it around 10 years ago because I was about 8 and my little sister was 5 and we needed a family car and his racing days were long over
we still do have a pair of worn down slicks that we use as stairs in our backyard to hop the fence with
we also have so many stories of funny accidents in the car
raccoon got into it and decided to go to the bathroom in the passenger seat, and I still have the steering wheel I think in my room somewhere
it was sold for spare parts I'm pretty sure, I'm sure I could track down the owner and see where it is
I'm still trying to do what I can before I graduate.
I'm trying to get my car ready for Saturday, and so far it's a nightmare.
not even joking, if you live in a big state I would say doing casual weekend karting, or trying to buy like a 10k miata and get some friends together to do a pit crew for you
you won't need tire changes or anything but you know it always helps to have somebody there if you need to pit for something
ok so the first one is 2004 second one is like 2006
inspection
you sure this isn't just a souped up 2018 Ford GT with off-road tyres
It looks a lot like it.
Lamborghini countach
New Williams looking nice
Murcielago
Reventon
Which is based off the Murcielago
But looks a lot like the Aventador that came after it
Now with the Sian that's based off the Aventador
And the Aventador replacement here
new Aventador replacement would share a lot of design queues from the Sian

And the countach which is Basically all modern Lamborghinins
I kart regularly
I'm in NorCal
I hope the engine sounds good on the road exhaust
Very nice
alpina
c30=best small car
you have clearly never heard of the Nissan Figaro
"Suspect is driving a silver BMW!"
Ferrari SUV 👀👀👀
no
Yes
the SUV is the worst thing to have ever come to this world
The only time SUV’s were cool was when Mitsubishi achieved success in the Paris Dakar Rally with the Pajero
anyone home ? i need some suggestions
I need to add brake to this RX7 but idk which one to use :/
Back when suv was
Sport
Utility
Vehicle
And not some 500hp 0-60 in seconds egg

nah there’s a lot of good suvs
lots of better cars, sure, but there have been genuinely good ones
plus if it gives brands the funds to make cool cars, i’m all for it
It’s called a tank chief
expensive
literally wants to kill you
annoying to drive in a town
impractical
great talking point with friends
powerful
Basically a super car already
A V12 roma
This is a testbed for a new v12 gt car
Not necessarily a V12 roma
Pretty interesting
Could be the 812 successor
Another supercar just what the world needed
Kid you not a new unique and special one gets released every week
Lmao
it is the successor
f167
excited for the new v12
gonna finally replace the v12 first introduced in the enzo as the f140b
posted int he chat a while back
oh??
So this is a completely new V12?
yep
hybrid assisted so it should be around for a while
tmk they've been testing it for a very long time with a variety of displacements from 4.0-6.0 liters
lamborghini will be using a new na v12 as well
yep im aware
we don't know what displacement exactly it'll use, the laferrari successor is what i'm most interested in
tmk all we know its mid engined and v12 powered
thats it
the laferrari is 9 years old now
Yeah
FRONT ENGINE REAR WHEEL DRIVE V12 YOOOOOO
Ikr
This could be a new GT
812 successor
well its offsale now so there inevitably has to be a replacement
i believe the architechture the roma is based on is modular
c30=best small car

It's a fake Florida plate, with UK character order
Oh, I see it now.
It's not legal but
It's a Palm Coast Florida plate, eith British numbers

what a beauty
lotus made an suv
the same company that made the coolest electric car, made an uncool electric suv
what is that
it looks like a urus for some reason
just the grills look slightly different
same with the rear
the rear gives off a very porsche vibe
not a fan of the front
its just so
it ain't a lotus
almost looks like they took ideas from so many other suvs
and put it all on the car
Nice
lotus alive??
alive-ish, they're owned by geely now
Unless that is the lightest S.U.V. on the market, it probably shouldn't be a Lotus.
its very heavy
TopGear suggests it might be, but I'm uncertain.
if its even an suv it shouldn't be a lotus
I gave up on Geely Lotus a while ago, sadly.
Once they started to make the Evora poshy, I knew that old Lotus was gone.
at this point i don't think it's "surviving"
The name is surviving, but the philosophy is dead.
Lotus is a philosophy, so I say Lotus is dead.
i feel like there's gonna be another "saleen incident"
What do you mean?
saleen was purchased by another shady group
made an suv and they wrestled control away from steve saleen himself
I never knew about that. I didn't even know they made a Saleen S.U.V., honestly.
That's definitely possible, though.
coincidentally it was a chinese owned company but i don't think geely is as bad on that front
from what i can tell they seem reliable
very eerily similar expansion plans though
Geely sells quite a few rebadges already, so I wouldn't give them a benefit of the doubt.
well ill give them ire as well
its just sad seeing companies sell out to these coorporations that'll do nothing
They say a company needs to grow to be successful, but I disagree.
So long as it is sustainable, that's something.
Had I run Lotus, I'd keep the company in my power so long as there was some profit.
With a nameplate so important, I'd shut it down before someone could taint it.
- Of course, first shuffling off the employees to new companies before then. I don't want anyone to be without a job.
The point is, I'd much rather run a short-lived and struggling company with a powerful legacy, rather than a long-lived and successful company devoid of character.
I’d argue noble has been successful
They’ve sustained it for years
I think a company should at least be financially sustainable, but more importantly, leave a lasting cultural impact.
An accountant will say that's not successful, but I think it is successful.
I hope Noble can keep it up for years to come.
Does anyone have access to the donut media discord
I didn't even know they had one.
you need to join their underground to enter to server so
you actually need to pay to enter the discord
it's electric, so definitely weighs over 2 tonnes

the m500 looks promising
any other cars that arent a suv coming out
not really
speaking of suvs
the new maserati crossover just looks like a ford puma
I hate the ford puma suv with every ounce of my being
Reasons include
IT STOLE THE NAME FROM A COOL SPORT COMPACT AND MADE IT A BORING SUV
It’s and SUV
It’s ugly
I don’t get why people by crossovers
that ford puma looks foul
