The first bike I rode was a rebel 250 and basically every time I rode it there was something to fix, the carbs had to be retuned, the clutch had to be readjusted or replaced, the rear drum had to be manually adjusted, the lights would work intermittently because the grounding wires where corroded…

It’s all fixable and stuff

But it’s more work than a modern bike. You don’t have to adjust carbs or rear drums on a modern bike

#

As a purely “fun” bike, old school all day everyday

Just found out I'm getting a 2015 rav hand-me-down with 150k miles but it was owned by a Toyota HQ engineer so it should have been perfectly ain't aimed.

This 07 civic was well maintained and even just had an entire overall before I picked it up from my bro. Fluids, shocks, brake pads and rotors, plugs, ignition... So I was surprised to see something new go wrong. I want it in best condition for when sold in 2 months so he can recoup parts and effort for doing all that for me

KBB says 2k to 4k, CarMax said 600 bc they will auction it. It's great condition minus the clear coat but that was common in 06-11 civics. Already got a 2k offer just asking around but this needs to be fixed before I go to other places for a better price

Well, they are, you cant compare a ratchet thing which is made of plastic compared to two metal rings which is used in high end car and motorcycle racing and is stronger than the strap itself, plus I'd rather have the best chance. What if someone hits you, even if you arent going fast, and a lot of pressure goes through the head, i'd rather just have the best chance. modulars are just heavy anyway
