When I depressed the clutch I felt a it very smooth until I’d say nearly an inch or so wre I felt kind of a resistance like a spring that I had to go through before it went smooth again. In the end the pedal was also very long with a lot of travel and it just felt strange to me, although I have never pressed down on a clutch until then.
