The 1983 b version
011b
Driven by Alboreto and Danny Sullivan.
It was raced in Detroit
their entry doesn't say 011b
even your site says 011
What site
It’s the 011b
the link you gave above
Yeah they are in numbers not letters
Lol
yes
because it's chassis 1, 2 etc.
Yes sorry, different chassis was a different design
“It’s the 1983 version that gets the car onto this list. Extensive rule changes, particularly the imposition of flat bottoms and banning of skirts, required extensive changes and created the B version.”
https://www.statsf1.com/en/1983/etats-unis-est/engages.aspx their entry is 011
because i suppose the chassis didn't change
only the aero around it
They started with the 011
But then it switched to the 011B
I like the look of the B191
Ya I do to
011b version
i don't think you understand what i say
Yes I did, aero changes = b version
even if the team doesn't call it a b version?
They did
Keith Duckworth (Cosworth DFV creator): "Turbochargers are for people that can't make engines"
The 1983 FIA Formula One World Championship was the 37th season of FIA Formula One motor racing. It featured the 1983 Formula One World Championship for Drivers and the 1983 Formula One World Championship for Constructors, which were contested concurrently over a fifteen-race series that commenced on 13 March and ended on 15 October. Nelson Piq...
@round swift
your site + my site say otherwise
Wikipedia isn't always right when it comes to F1
There’s pictures of the differences aswell compared to the 011 version
i know the 011 of 1983 looks vastly different with a delta shape
This is the non-b version
And this is the b version
I see the differences
You just need to look at the aerodynamics
I would definitely call this the b version
There have been some ridiculously ugly f1 cars
Tyrrell just didn't care about these things
same tub = same entry on the FIA list
I guess they were testing the 011 to get ready for the 012
wether it has venturi channels or not, they just called it the same
But it definitely looks different
see they didn't do a 012B with/without the boomerang rear wing
Okay so I just found out that the 011/4 would be the 011B version
“Bill bought chassis 011/6 and 011/4 [in which Alboreto won the 1983 Detroit GP, the 155th and last frontline F1 win for the Ford-badged Cosworth DFV engine and the final win for the Tyrrell team] “
Anything before that would be the normal 011 version
I believe
“For 1983 new rules were introduced pretty quickly and Team Tyrrell was able to modify the 011 into a conventional car by taking away the wing-shaped side pods and replacing them by pretty small lateral radiator covers on each side of the 011`s Ford Cosworth DFV engine.”
This would be the B version but I guess they never called it that
both Tyrrell and Williams did good stuff to convert their venturi channels 82 models into flat bottoms for 83
I wonder what crazy loopholes teams will find next year
hope there are some and we have very different looking cars
aw
Is there any fans from senna v Prost that can put that into context compared to this year’s?
It seems like this year is full of controversy similar to their battles
@frigid phoenix you're the only boomer here, step up
@late crag asshole, I'm not a boomer

but I will say this season has some retro vibes
and that's where it comes in
that's me, big mc
but BACK ON TOPIC
this has been a season to remember
if max wins, damn
I would discuss more but this is #classic-motorsport
The difference of the Lamborghini V12 and the Honda V10 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bwnQzuKvIdc
Onboard camera from Derek Warwick's Lotus Lamborghini V12 as Ayrton Senna comes to lap him. Listen for the Honda V10 through the screaming Lambo V12 as he does pass him.
You can literally hear the Honda V10 screaming past
The car that clocked a 7 MINUTES lap at Imola
The Jordan that fought for the Championship. Came 3rd in the 99 Constructors
Huge difference is that Prost and Senna were 2 seasons as teammates
We've not had that in our current title fight
2016 was the last time. It was also a thrilling year. But I rather enjoy it when two different teams fight it out, like we have this year
That's......fast
for a haas
nothing gonna beat that record
goated
Life L190?
Yes
BRM P207
Lola T97/30
“The car was equipped with a poor and outdated engine, had a wrongly positioned gearbox and well, non-existent aerodynamics. The chassis of the Lola T97/30 was derived from the T93/30 which as its name shows, was designed in 1993. The car was outdated on every front. It remains for many as one of the worst if not the worst F1 car in history.”
😂😭😭
Brabham BT60
The guy who tried to pull him off should be fired ngl
That kick 💀
Track official uses grab!
It wasn’t very effective…
Senna uses kick!
IT’S SUPER EFFECTIVE
Little did they know, that 5 minutes lap time record clocked by the Subaru powered Coloni will be shattered later that season
Senna v Alesi
Beautiful
Jean Alesi what a beautiful driver to bad he was with the wrong cars when he was still in formula one I believe he could’ve won an championship
Honestly so many drivers should have been champions (massa 😭) but have just been unlucky with either cars or just how things played out like dnfs or mechanical failures
But Brazil 2008 was an actual good race
whos the driver?
Title number seven is in the bag for Lewis Hamilton - but the first one was his most dramatic. Relive the incredible final race of the 2008 season with all the best bits from an extraordinary day at Interlagos...

this may not be classic enough, but why were races in valencia called the "european" gp
strange name
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_Grand_Prix#As_an_honorific_title nvm found the answer
The European Grand Prix (also known as the Grand Prix of Europe) was a Formula One event that was introduced during the mid-1980s and was held every year from 1993 to 2012, except in 1998. During these years, the European Grand Prix was held in a country that hosted its own national Grand Prix at a different point in the same season, at a differ...
One of things that was allowed back in the days. Pushing the car across the line after running out of fuel, or at least attempting to
in the end it didn't matter to him as he scored 1 pt
but it's a classic detail of that 86 season
Looks like F1's relationship with the Saudi's started early
Yes Williams' first sponsor was them
full circle, kinda
Ig
Because we had the Spanish gp so they did the European gp
le plus grand rappeur de sa génération
MC Professeur
Man clearly becoming a rapper
Gilles also, I feel like if he didn't died Senna would have it much harder than he had
Senna VS Villeneuve VS Prost VS Mansell VS Piquet VS Lauda….
Dear lord, that would have been drop dead amazing.
vs Bellof also
Oh yeah. If Bellof hadn’t died either, we would have saw him at Ferrari in 1986
Cause iirc he had ties to Ferrari
yeah
Bellof was already unreal behind the wheel of the mighty 962/956
Him in an F1 car would've been insane
Bellof would’ve definitely been the first German that won the world championship before micheal Schumacher
Ayo wth
XD
DNF=did not fail right?😭
Arrows moment
Yamaha Power!
the nose seems to indicate it is

Lol
No, it'd crash his respect
Mika somehow wedging his McLaren into Johnny's Benetton
Truly a wild era in f1 cars, transitioning from those 90s to 2000s cars produced some funny and odd looking cars
1998 was the major changing point in terms of technical regulation
I believe that 1994 was the major changing point for the whole Formula 1
Ah…, right.
95 really as that’s when closed cockpits came in
And that changed the look of the cars entirely
No they changed them in 96
I thought it changed after siennas incident
No, the Cockpit headrests came in 1996 after Mika Hakkinen's Adelaide crash in 1995
Searching up that crash in google images was a bad idea
Sorry what was the shame, the big Monaco crash w/Brundle?
Tyrrell’s technical infraction that led to them being DSQ’d from the entire 1984 championship
They were caught using lead-shot in their fuel
Copy you thnx
It wasn't their water tanks?
I thought it was the "reserve" water tanks coz it spilled out when they launched out the pits once
Didn’t Brabham use water tanks at one point?
Yeah so in the 80's Water Cooled brakes were developing alot
And so they'd just develop them like brakes now and dump the water before the race to drop them below the minimum weighta
Yeah the lead was in their water tanks, they topped up brake fluid every race near the end which was sus
With this dsq, bernie got rid of one more influential foca dude
Colin Chapman was dead, so only Frank Williams remained basically
His accident in early 86 made sure Bernie was fully in charge of Foca and thus the financial aspects of the sports
1996 they came in. In 1995 they were longer then 1994
“increase in length chassis must extend beyond driver's feet from 15 to 30 cm (5.9 to 11.8 in)”
They didn't get shorter in 1996
They just got longer lol
The first BMW powered Williams
2000?
Reminds me of the rothmans livery for the Tyrrell 019
ye big times
To bad it wasn’t as good as a few years prior
But it did get a handful of podiums
I even think that the 2001 or 2002 year was even better
2003 their last title challenge
i was pissed Ferrari beat them in the end
Yeah then the F2004 dominated the season for 2004
mhm
vroom
Ah yes, the ugly
Definitely the top.
It's hard to edit older photos like these. Like actual, physical photos, they're fragile. Too much, and you'll damage them.
The edits on this one created a lot of noise.
Lol
Older, as in what era?
I dont know lol
I'm guessing you wanted a late-Sixties style, given the hint of sepia.
Backflipping across the line https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yk0Jtr0nI3s
Christian Fittipaldi tries to pass Pierluigi Martini at the end of the race at Monza and flips his car over the finish line, with several replays and a different wider angle.
Tbh i kinda like it
Yeah it’s not that about
The only thing I dislike about it is the front wing
Renault Gordini EF1 1.5 V6 engine being tested 1979
Nah nah
It looks kinda like a plane nose
Looks cool to me
Indeed
Needs some marlboro logos on it

Oh wait nvm
I read blank
Lol
Whats the ugliest f1 car in your opinion @round swift
Looks like it has a freezer in the back 🤣
Ligier JS5
Yeah it was later redesigned
Do u have any pics of it?
It got a pole position though 👀
Wooo
And a fast lap
This one is way better looking
I dunno why they made such thing 🗿
Regulations I guess idk
👀
Old balaclavas 👀
Ikr!
They look intimidating
They also look cooler
Yea!
air
Sounds about right
pretty much the whole grid in the mid 70s had them
Yo whats that X thing logo on niki's helmet
something
Good question
Wait no one knows?
Ohhhhh
👀
I had no idea it had two visors.
I’m assuming the visor on top is the tear off visor
Mansell's spin recovery https://gfycat.com/gleamingbarrenharlequinbug
Gerhard Berger
Oh damn
tear offs didnt exist back them
then*
Oh
For some reason the cars back then look more grippy
Congrats @pastel ginkgo, you're now on lap 10
what car is this?
The car with the double chassis
oh thanks
does anyone have a pic that shows the marlboro mclaren sides and top?
this one
or similar
yea
Notice how they don’t have the intakes on the side
Lotus 81 I think
thanks
It’s the 88.
ooo
i think its lotus 88 though
I initially thought the 86 was the 88
oh yeah now it makes sence, because the Essex livery confused me
The 88 and 86 look too similar
(Aside from the liveries of course)
It seems that the 86 used both sidepod profiles
So I think eventually I'll think it is the 86
When Mika pulled this move to overtake Schumi
Was this 1999
I forget when this was
Nvm it was 2000
ohhh thanks @meager pewter
The Yellow Marlboro McLaren
Bit of something different.
Sepoong, no I didn't misspell that, was supposed to be a circuit in South Korea to host the Korean GP in 1998. Well they started construction on it, never finished
Also was in the ricefields
Pic 1 is intended layout map, pic 2 is construction pic, pic 3 is nowadays
Damn so is it just abandoned piece of land now
It looks too much like Estoril
it is
Marlboro wanted to promote their "light" brand at the Portuguese GP that year, which only Keke Rosberg ended up running
What year was it
1986
Who was prost's teamate in 85?
Lauda still
Ahhhh gotcja
👍
Then what about 87
87 it was Prost and Stefan Johansson
The mp4/3 looked soo good
honestly I forgot they made a separate model for 87 until now lmao
yeah it looks like a mix between the MP4/2 and the MP4/4
not really a fan of the chonky looks of the cars back then but it did look good
I get what you mean
Yeah neither am i of the mid 80s cars
Late 80s on the other hand
Love it
yeah
1989 in fact is one of my favorite years of F1 cars aesthetically and otherwise
first year of the post-turbo era, it was quite interesting with some running V12s, V10s and V8s
ya
the MP4/5 looks so good indeed
yes
and then there's cars like the Williams FW13
that airbox design has always fascinated me
Weird airbox
yeah
kind of a more modernish equivalent to the Ligier teapot design
89*
late 89 yeah
What engines were they running
for most of 89 they ran an updated 88 car
Renault v10?
Renaults, 89 was their first year with Renaults
V10 right?
yeah
Niceee
though they ran it in an updated FW12 for most of the year
they only introduced the FW13 in the final 2 races of the year, and they won both I think
I loved the fact there was so much variation in engines back then
same
it was like that all the way until 1995 more or less, though by then the V10s and the Ferrari V12 were clearly a lot more competitive
Is it bad that I loved that Star Trek Airbox?
Idk Brabham and I believe ATS used em as well
Also Cosworth were planning to make a V12 for 1993 but it... In more official words... Sucked
Don’t you mean AGS?
... Yes, but ATS were an F1 team so uhm... I'll just let the brownie points get put on my plate aha
Yes I mean AGS
Love the livery
Did the airbox had to be THAT BIG?
Weird to see an 80s car without a front wing. Then again, Ground Effect cars were common on the grid in the early 1980s
70s aerodynamisists were high on something
and no it didnt need to be that big
late 70s they fixed it
nah it's not, and they did, although their versions were much boxier
lmaoo
it looks weird but I don't hate it
agree
hiding from the abu dhabi chat rn

ABSOLUTELY ROBBED #LH44
In celebration of Honda’s victory, here’s Soichiro Honda with Ayrton Senna
Golden
30 years before, Honda won its last championship. 30 years later, Honda wins again.
History does repeat itself
To bad Honda is leaving the sport 😦
Yeah. They ended their time in F1 on a high
It's like poetry, it rhymes.
i know
but they can always make another decision later if they see a reason to
maybe this redbull win will be it
who knows
Redbull won it! And you can die in peace now
Lol
this channel is a certified f1 classic
Yes
They were going to do 1 more season right?
Yes, next 2 seasons Honda will train new people of Red Bull powertrains
Driving with your front wing blocking your view
And then going on to finish 3rd at your home Grand Prix.
Gilles Villeneuve at his finest
That must be scary, like imagine if that just came flying off. He does not have any halo to protect him.
Congrats @potent crag, you're now on lap 5
Jan Magnussen ran a few show laps in the F1 Ferrari 412 T2 in Roskilde City, so you could enjoy the sound of Formula One 1995. Some says that it has the best Sounding F1 Engine. Judge for yourself.
Jan Magnussen kørte nogle få omgange i den vellydende Ferrari F1 fra 1995 på Roskilde By Ring. Den skulle ifølge mange have den lækreste motorlyd af...
Jan Magnussen in a Ferrari 412T2
I don’t think they even had carbon fibre yet in the 1982 Ferrari or before
It was still aluminum alloy body
So HANS or the Halo weren’t a thing for the next 20+ years lol
I think that the 1984 had Ferrari
HELP ME I CANT STOP THINKING ABOUT HORNY THINGS U KNOW WHAT I MEAN
No, please explain

what
The Blue and White Ferrari
The unraced Lola. The car looks good but there was one small problem with it. It had no airbox
Spa? Who and what year though?
Senna, 1988
Ah Nice, thanks
any1 knows what car (car name driver name) won 1950 season? im starting [insert amount of days] day of drawing championship cars: today's championship winning car is [insert car name] driven by [insert driver name] [insert drawing].. series.
Giuseppe Farina, Alfa Romeo
Alfa Romeo 158
thx
We have to remember these days
Obviously not a ferrari then
Interesting…
The ferrari entered by N.A.R.T
when no rosso corsa
so this is where the cool kids hang huh
lmao
More like the sane kids
hehehe
dont say it too loud worm, they'll find us
The Brabham BT49C
oh
👀
lol
Welcome to the classic cool kids club
🤷♂️
1989 Arrows A12
No wait
It has porsche on the engine cover
It must be 1991 then
Arrows A11C
Correct !
hot
hotter than any f1 car
But sounded very nice 👍🏼
30 years ago you had
Honda
Ferrari
Yamaha
Porsche
and Lamborghini
All making V12’s, with Honda being the best of the bunch.
What a time…
nowadays we only have mercedes, honda, ferrari and renault
i guess replace honda with red bull
Honda will collab with red bull powertrains for the engines, so maybe they aren’t entirely out of F1 as we all thought
I would say rip the v10 but the V10 lives
It lives in the hearts of many
Well in the Carrera GT
they will help train the new employees at red bull powertrains for a little bit
help around in general
then they will poof
One last gesture from Honda
yep
Very nice
They want to focus their efforts on creating zero-emissions vehicles for the road
Me too. The history and the successes they have gained…
the rise and
all...then rise again...then
all again of Honda
1964-1968
1983-1992
2000-2008
2015-2021
whats the oldest engine manufacturer on f1
You mean the longest running engine manufacturer in F1?
yea that is what i meant
FERRARI
Yep.
right...?
apart from ferrari
HAHHAAHAHA
🗿
where's my prize
here
🗿 🗿
aw thanks guys ♥️
lol
Probably Ford
Or renault
hmmm
No, they don’t
as in they never did
that i dont know
Ford was active from the 1960’s up till the early 2000’s, while Renault was active from 1977-1986, 1989-1997, and 2001-Present
Ford has 176 GP victories while Renault has 169 GP victories
oh thats something cool
Ford was basically unbeatable during the 1970’s. The only other engine manufacturer to win championships during that decade was Ferrari
The old Honda company management wanted them to leave but them as a squad don't, so they're offering all their geezers and even naming rights to RBR
whoa
Lamborghini took a peak into the 2021 proposed change in 2017 but came to the conclusion that they were far out of their depth if they persued an F1 engine program
ooooooo
... Are you aware that Lambo made F1 engines before?
yes, the marlboro maniac guy just told me
O
but how good was lamborghini back then
Lamborghini V12 engine at Silverstone on a white McLaren which was considered at the end of the F1 1993 season in replacement of the Ford V8 engine but never happened as Ron Dennis had already signed a deal with Peugeot V10 engine for the following year.
👀
Oh awful
lmao
They were under Chrysler in their brief ownership
The only success they had was at the controversial 1990 Japanese GP
why controversial
And the 80°V12 up until some geezers really put their back into it to get 760bhp for the McLaren MP4/8B... In late 1993
But it was considered all bark and no bite
they only made engines for mclaren?
Reliability was shoddy, and they kept with the same architecture for their entire stint
A lot of people know about it. Senna deliberately crashed into Prost, handing him the WDC
oh i thought you meant controversial for lamborghini lol
The LE3512 was made for Lola/Larrousse/Venturi, Lotus, and Ligier
Modena...
Uhhh, who else?
👀
Aguri Suzuki scored P3 at Suzuka for Larrouse, giving Lamborghini their only podium in F1 as an engine supplier
ouch
The 291 was cash tho
only podium 😬
As designed by Mauro Forghieri
Yea
what car is that?
The Modena-Lamborghini 291
ooo
honda was making engines for mclaren at that time right?
Yes
The 1992 Venturi?
Never mind
It's in the nose honey
Gotcha
M191 (1991)
I like the livery
Oh the livery and Engine cover are bliss
Oof
Oh can anyone tell me what were the engine eras?
Like how long lasted the v8s etc
The high revving V8 era lasted from 2006-2013
They were free layout 3L's from 1968-1984
👀
1.5L Turbo i4-V8's from 1977-1988
3.5 V8-12 from 1987-1994
3.0 from 1995-2005 with 2000 or 2001 mandating V10's
In the 1990’s, the last ever V8 that was used was in 1997, when Mastercard Lola used outdated Ford V8’s, with them eventually failing to qualify, followed by them filing for bankruptcy not too long afterwards
Big bruh
Yup
Wooooooo
The moral of the story: never try to build an F1 car with an outdated engine, no wind tunnel testing, massive financial backing, and having Ricardo Rosset as one of your drivers.
Massive bruh moment for Lola, one of the giants in racing
Lola Ded
||and eric broadley||
Very ded
RIP Lola
Lmao
Like they honestly should've just dedicated all those resources to their Indy Efforts coz after 1996 Lola dropped like a stone
Swift and Reynard were tearing up the track
Lola made alot of stuff in general that did alot of work but in and of itself wasn't massively successfulf
Lola built cars for teams such as the Embassy Hill team, Larrouse, BMS Scuderia Italia, etc
Lola had more success outside of F1
But do you cross the line on the pits?
Yes
His pit box was past the line, which meant he technically won while serving his stop go penalty within 3(?) laps
Exactly
isnt that unfair for the teams with boxes before the line
Ohhh
wait a second
but
could you
no
pull a 500 iq
well you would need to nurse those tyres like crazy
With and without the Streamlined body
The open wheeler looks so sick imagine going a 100mph in that 😳
indeed
woah
eh maybe
this would be great to see

Whos that on the left

1 year before Hakkinen overtook Schumacher and Zonta, Alesi overtook Wurz And Barrichello (for position!!) #f1 #jeanalesi #spa
Alesi performing a Hakkinen 1 year before Hakkinen himself did his thing
Sorry Mika, Jean did it first.
The technically last Ford powered F1 car
Why is it technically the last?
I mean, Stewarts did become Jaguar Racing in 2000, which was owned by Ford at the time. While Ford collaborated with Cosworth to power the Jags, the Stewarts SF3 is still technically the last F1 car with a Ford badge on it
Uhm
This is 2003
This is 2004
Whoch was the last year Ford owned Cozzie
Damon Hill ran for Arrows-Yamaha in 1997... And nearly won Hungary
I feel like a real killjoy
Yeah with them MOOGUN enyins
Because the 2003 and 2004 were Ford-Cosworth
I believe
Not just ford itself
From 1998-2004
Before that they weren’t
True
But Cosworth is owned by ford aswell
So who built the engines from 1967-1997?
Ford
1998-2004 we’re Ford-Cosworth but pretty much ford because Cosworth is owned by ford
Despite being the Cosworth DFV, DFY, GBA, DFZ, DFR, HB, Zetec-R?
They're not cosworths?
Like this logic is big confusing
For what constructer are you talking about for the engines
Tyrrell Lotus?
Because the Ford manufacturer was just the Ford engine
All of em
Wait I’m getting confused. They were Ford engines and Ford-Cosworth engines during the same period
They were all Cosworth engines
But Ford bankrolled and therefore owned em from 0 hour
But because the Stewart team didn’t have the Ford-Cosworth EC / ED engine
From the 1997 season
They used just an Ford engine
Ford JD Zetec-R 3.0-litre 72-degree V10
Jus the 1998 season had the same engine in the Minardi
So I guess they didn’t stop in 1997
Oh shit wait
They are Cosworth
It was a cosworth engine but they didn’t use the cosworth name in the name
Yeah coz Zetec was an Engine name for their new engine line
So from 1994 they were namer Zetecs
Will there ever be anything like it ever again?
e
I wish, but probably not
Elio de Angelis, F1 driver that tragically died in Paul Ricard when he was testing the Brabham BT55
I just realised. Not only the 95 Sauber is the first Red Bull sponsored car, it is also the first Petronas sponsored car
Let that sink in for a moment
rb and merc had sex?
Petronas meant Ferrari for a lot of time
beautiful yet sad pic

and created sauber
sauber and merc actually had a partnership till 93 i think
They had it in 94 as well
is this michael?
It is the Michael
🥰
Yes at the 1997 European GP
Same energy as Choco standing on the apex in Saudi Arabia
What do you mean by that
Sauber Petronas
Petronas as an engine supplier had used rebadged Ferrari engines
The X wings!
The Forti FG01
The FG01 is also notably the last F1 car to sport a conventional manual gearbox + H-pattern shifter, and was the only car to use one on the grid.
yeah shit but reliable car
ye but it wasnt branded as mercedes benz
damn shumi thicc
u sure
Sauber used Ilmor engines for 93, while their car had the words “Concept by Mercedes Benz” on the side.
And then Sauber used Merc engines in 1994
Oh shoot i never knew they were an engine supplier
Yeah. They were from 1997-2005
Ilmor was those who made the Mercedes engines for many years
thats the 94 car
their partnership didn't end in 93
ilmor did build the merc engines until like 2005 or something
ah
It was built by Ilmor with Mercedes
It still retired alot of races
6 of the 17 races both drivers retired
The company built a partnership with Mercedes-Benz to power F1 cars for both the Sauber and McLaren teams.
In 1991 Ilmor entered Formula 1 with a V10 engine as exclusive supplier to the ambitious Leyton House team (formerly March).
Was looking at my grandfathers stuff and I found this
And when I opened it
First thing I see is a Cursed Rubens Barrichello
Never seen Barrichello with that much hair before
yoooooo
for a second i thought that was mick schumacher wtf
Lauda still got more hair in that pic than some dudes in their 40s
😳😳
No way that was real
looks like photoshop
and i pinged you, crap
1966 Grand Prix
Behind the scenes
Carrol Shelby, the one that created the Mustang and the Shelby’s and AC Cobra, use to race in formula one from 1958 to 1959 for Aston Martin and Maserati
I did not know about that
Same with Ken Miles
He raced in 1961 for Louise Bryden-Brown
You're kiddg right?
I mean that's not real is it
More due to driver than the car

Why did senna race with 8 that year
Wait… Senna finished 4th in the WDC. But at the time, he nearly didn’t race in 1993 due to him being vetoed by Prost, and that Senna also said he was going to compete on the condition of a pay per race basis iirc. So that meant Mika Hakkinen would take up his seat. Hakkinen finished 8th in the WDC in 1992, hence why it is on Senna’s car. But when Senna decided to race the entire season, he stuck with Hakkinen’s number on his car. Hakkinen would have to wait until after Monza to claim Andretti’s spot.
Then Martin brundle was number 8
For the 1994 season
“The number 8 has been used the most, with 988 races.”
Woah 😳
Welcome to the world of classics
A world where We hear V10 in peace
A world of discussions about F1’s history, cars, and drivers that once ruled the sport.
Amino welcome 🙏
I made the mp4/4 in a game recently, thought you guys would find it neat
pretty sick man
97t or 98t?
The 98T was used for 1986
Phil Hill's camera car. Which was used to film footage for the classic 1966 film Grand Prix
There was some kerfuffle for numbering in 93: normally what you had then was the new team champion swaps number with the team that had 1-2 for the previous season, so McLaren should've been 5-6
But Brabham, who had 7-8 folded, so these were free
Not sure how, but Benetton managed to claim 5-6, probably because Michael scored 3rd in the wdc 1992, and it's actually the highest ranked driver that matters, not wcc
So McLaren picked the highest available number, 7-8
For the movie I believe they used formula 2 cars instead of formula 1 cars because it was cheaper or something
Yessss
They actually used Phil Hill's car as a camera car to get footage of the actual 66 Belgian Grand Prix that are used in the movie
The williams and brabham looking clean af
Never realised how long the brabham was
what do you guys think of the Ferrari's 2021 season
I mean I know that the Schumacher
era was the greatest

🔫
XD
Congrats @round swift, you're now on lap 10
ah shush
Isn't that the 1st car to use bargeboards
Apparently the Benneton of the 90s was the best car on the grid
Even in its peak seasons, I don't think it was the best of the cars on the grid.
In the right hands, though, it punched well above its weight class.
It's what really goes to show how truly talented Schumacher was.
Maybe in 95, but that's it
I just found out my father-in-law has the steering wheel from when Lauda won 1975 Monaco…. How cool!!
No it’s the 1993 one
I would say they were the best in the 95 and 94 season
same bro
Like on grid or of all the bennetons
Both
It is debated that the 95 Bennetons did have a launch control system.
And 94 too
And traction control too
Huh
Bcz this person I spoke too said that Schumacher always had the best cars and that's why he won
Because in some races in 1994, Schumi did have quite a quick launch on the start.
Almost too quick
They were pretty good
Especially the F2002 and F2004
He helped improve Ferrari
