it’s like the esports challenger event, only the drivers who have the highest AI, make no mistakes & have good consistent lap times make it to the top of the chart. You wouldn’t want casual players at the top of those charts, you want the best of the best at the top.

If you make a challenge event that has the goal of setting the best times, then the people who play at the higher AI difficulty should be the ones who get more points, because they are playing against harder AI. The problem with challenges that appeal to the casual audience, is that there is no reward for the people that actually went through the effort of getting to the top, at a higher difficulty when someone who plays, let’s say 20 ai below them can get the same score, despite being a ton slower.

Anybody able to answer a question I have? I have been scouring the internet for the last few days tryna find a somewhat decent explanation to my question but I can't seem to find one, so I'll ask here :p This question kind of relates to real-life too but mostly for the game; Pretty much I just wanted to know the strengths and weaknesses of the main 3 cars in this years F1 game, just to understand and get a grasp of what different car concepts designs yield different results in certain aspects of the game. If you don't fully understand my question, I pretty much mean in layman terms is the merc good at cornering speed but worst in straight lines? Is ferrari better at tyre deg, does 1 car have a better exits or maybe more stable rear than front, would love to have a few answers from you guys so I can kinda weigh up a lil tally chart for myself so I can decide what car is the best for my driving style, I do know however that the cars in game are pretty balanced in comparison to each other in a relative scale and that setups pay a big part too but still peaks my curiosity!

If you are talking career, the cars do make a difference. If you sre talking online, they are nearly always set to equal/all cars are the same. In this game, setup makes a huge difference to your cornering speeds, straight speed, stabilit and all that, and as long as you have car setups you feel comfortable with, the cars dont really matter anymore

I played quite a bit of career on different cars, and the car feels pretty much the same with good setups. You might get some understeer on bad cars (backmarkers) and have less top speed than the fastest cars (top 3) but otherwise theres no change
