Yep, for iRacing for example it takes forever to laserscan a track

And a lot of scans iracing uses weren't made by them like the Nürburgring and Hockenheimring

Because the Nordschleife is so damn long, Nürburgring scanned the entire thing themselves and sells that scan to games that want it
That's why a surprising amount of games have the massive Nordschleife nicely laser scanned (and have a inaccurate version of Flugplatz pre reprofiling)

Same goes for Hockenheim, iRacing also didn't laserscan that themselves but someone else did
