Quali in China (round 2 in season 8 of my F1 23 My Team Career) we had some DRS issues for both cars that were persistent. Oscar's best lap was only enough for 12th, and mine for 19th. McLaren bounce back in style with pole for Max and 6th for Logan.

In the GP, Lawson had a grid penalty, we both rose 1 place on the grid, and Manz pushed really hard at the start, got up to 7th, but just lost time from there and couldn't catch the top 6 for the rest of the race. It started wet (inter tyres) but dried up to the point that everyone pitted on lap 7 or 8.

....Turn 1 lap 1 crash involving Manz, Russell and Norris. Manz tries to brake for the corner but doesn't quite brake enough, taps Russell's rear, Russell spins, smashing into Norris, breaking his front wing and causing him to go slow while George's spin path cuts back across Lina, breaking Manz's front wing. Norris pulls to the side to retire but his suspension gives out on the grass. Manz has to pit on lap 1, cannot make it to the end on mediums so pits again for hards and struggles to pass the backmarkers. Meanwhile Piastri DNFs out of running P2 mid race (where he had been as a result of the lap 1 chaos). So yeah. Nightmare for Merc and for my team too.

And of course the benefactor is Pierre Gasly, the title leader.
