Heading into Sao Paulo Grand Prix in My Team Career Mode Season 3 and Max Verstappen announced that he will retire at the end of the third season

His replacement will be confirm in Season 4

Joshua Pearce meanwhile made a strong performance in Mexico City with Williams F1 Team

Pretty chaotic and wet (inter tyres the entire race) race in Australia S7 in my F1 23 My Team save.

Front two rows of the grid were:

Sargeant

Russell

Sargeant took the lead at turn 1 and led the first half of the 20 lap race from Verstappen and Norris initially.

Verstappen retired out of P2 while trying to challenge Sargeant on lap 7 at turn 13, bringing out a VSC that ended mid-lap 8.

Not even a full lap after the VSC ended, Albon spins his Ferrari at turn 3, causing a red flag on lap 9.

At the restart, slow starts for Sargeant and Russell mean the order at the end of lap 11 becomes:

Piastri
Sargeant

Towards the end of the race Manz starts to struggle with defense and is passed by Leclerc and later Hauger, and approached by Russell.

Things are stable up front but in the midfield, Drugovich spins at turn 11 on lap 17, falling to the back of the field, and Albon's engine blows up at turn 14 the same lap, as he's going for a move on Magnussen for 11th, so he slows and eventually stops at the side of the road at the end of the pit straight on lap 18. No intervention due to how late in the race it was, plus Albon was in a safe position and Drugovich recovered without debris.

As i said before, Russell was rapidly approaching Manz, piling the pressure by lap 18, and given Russell led the title into the race by 4 points while Verstappen was out of the race (entered Australia in P2 in the title), Manz decided to play the team game and defend from George valiantly to limit Max's damages relative to George (Hauger was already unassailable to Lina, but possibly not to George on the pace he had)

In particular what I am talking about is an F1 23 My Team career save I have.

It isn't modded, no, I don't have access to modding since I am on PS5, the changes from the real life teams are completely made up. For example, in the save, Skoda acquired VCARB in the middle of 2027 (Racing Point Force India style) and fully took over their operations for 2028 (season 6) and I am now in season 7.

Though generally speaking some people will use mods in their game saves if they have access to them.

Also, Lando in Mercedes seems off? Look at Sargeant in McLaren!?

but in all seriousness on that point, there have been a lot of driver transfers across the seasons I have played in the save

But generally. Make sure everything is calibrated properly and set your important keybinds where you can reach them without taking your hands off the wheel and the less important ones like pause or flashback to ones at harder places to reach (also makes it less likely to press them on accident)

So, status update as I start the 2026 season in F1 24 My Team - this could be a tough one against my teammate Lewis Hamilton.

Already in Practice 1 in Melbourne, this man shows why he's here. He destroyed me by 4 tenths on the Soft tires, with my fastest lap being a race strategy lap on Mediums, so there's definitely room for improvement.

And considering that I play on Master difficulty, fighting Lewis with a car like ours is gonna be incredibly difficult.

Okay, this could be interesting between the two of us.

On one lap, I'm much quicker than Lewis, but overall, Lewis was faster as he takes victory in Melbourne by almost 5 seconds.

Could this be Lewis's time to shine, or was it just a lucky break? Well, that was just round 1, so we'll have to see what happens in the following 15 GPs.

Also, Logan Sargeant in the Mercedes and Alex Albon in the Alpine with a strong comeback. Logan from P19 to 13th, Alex from P21 to 14th.

Yuki Tsunoda, the new guy at Williams, couldn't really do anything as he finished behind his teammate Victor Martins, and the new rookie at Racing Bulls, Enzo Fittipaldi, is also still trying to get to grips with an F1 car.

Overall, MLP Motorsport could remain invincible, just like last year when Fluttershy and Lewis Hamilton won all races of 2025 as a team. (Yes, I'm an MLP fan, don't ask)

• Inter to dry Q2 where everyone in the inters dropzone made it into Q3 except Hauger, breaking a third perfect Q3 streak in 1 day as Gasly goes from P1 to P14

• McLaren front row lockout (third team to lock out a front row this season)
• A mechanical failure for the man P3 in the title (Verstappen)
• Crash involving 4 cars that took one out (Albon's bad luck continues), broke the front wings of two (Leclerc and Hauger), and completely ruined the tyres of the other (Manz)

• Restart that was very similar to the original one (SAR P1, MAN P2, but RUS P3 instead of PIA)
• due to contact between Manz and Russell that sent Manz spinning, caused Russell, Piastri and Doohan to queue at the inside of Tosa and drop down the order to P8, P10, P11 and P12
• Sargeant poor restart from P1 to P7, Ricciardo takes the lead from Drugovich and Tsunoda as Manz gets a perfect launch and gets back to P4, Mercedes collide as Lando forces Russell into a pit stop
• Manz battling with Leclerc, and eventually Sargeant as well, somehow allowing the top 3 in slow cars to pull away
• Sargeant eventually makes it back to P4 on the last lap
