Yes, they are, but once you start a race they're determined.

So after every restart the same ones will happen again.

So the 1st time you go into a race, 0 to 3 drivers get randomly chosen and are then for that specific race determined forever.

And they'll also always happen at the same time.

I see that rain is likely later on, so my strategy is to go into Hards at the start and go long. If the rain doesn't come, swap to Mediums and push hard. The strategy works, most people had already stopped once by the time the rain came, so I'm up to P7 with everybody starting to go to Inters.

I come up the pit lane, slow down well enough, hit the pit limiter... I either didn't hit the button hard enough or double tapped it, because when I hit the throttle, I shot up to 120kph as I crossed the line. Ended the race in P15, behind Ollie.

u should be able to take that long left hander and the top of the hill in S1 with no breaks until the right hander.
