for driver career, you either create a driver or you choose a real one in the game and then you do a season driving as your driver

and you upgrade the car along the season

my team career is similar but you create the owner and then every race weekend you choose one driver to drive as for that race

In case you're wondering, with the new F1 25 update, after 85 laps around Silverstone, my telemetry recorded compared to opening day, has shown I'm consistently braking later as a result of the reduced friction, while applying throttle earlier, allowed more speed out the corner, meaning the cars acceleration is on average quicker by 0.2 seconds, meaning that EA have actually done something right for the first time ever.
