to summarise:

Virtanen couldnt make up any positions off the start. Despite this, he held P14 all race, acting as an absolute wall to Max Verstappen's every attempt. On lap 4, push came to shove at turn 11 as Verstappen tried to make a move to the inside and shoved Virtanen off track. Verstappen took P14 while Virtanen fell to P20. No penalty for Verstappen.

Final lap, Virtanen was holding his P20, seemingly sulking behind the wheel, when he had a snap of oversteer at the final corners, which let Boschung's Aston Martin through. Then it just.. boiled over for him. The chequered flag was waving at him almost tauntingly, and he drove the car straight into the wall.

This comes after the Chinese Grand Prix where Vesti took pole position while Virtanen's IP was a lowly P11, compared to Bearman's in P4.

Further, in the Grand Prix, Virtanen got up towards the front, only to be spun and his front wing completely broken by at the time leader Vesti. His frustrations were immediately vented with many choice words, and words of a threatening nature towards Vesti being used - such will be investigated according to the FIA.

However, conversely, Verstappen, who ended up as the race winner, was seen being congratulated by Virtanen in parc fermé post-race.
