Frédéric Vasseur was interviewed in the media duties on the Thursday leading up to the British Grand Prix, regarding driver transfers, and relations in the paddock.

One such question regarded DPM, a team who scored one point in Monaco last year, but outside that have had no such performance with any driver they turn to.

He called DPM "an extremely polarising team", commenting on how "their driver [DP]'s causing controversial crashes, such as with Max [Verstappen] in Austria", where Verstappen got disqualified for reversing too long in his escape from a crash with DP on the opening lap.

It has been heavily speculated that DPM are being pressured to release Arthur from within their ranks, with Arthur's brother Charles Leclerc having said they "should either change their formula", referring to making upgrades, or "stop impeding Arthur's talent" by letting him go.
