I'm at Ferrari, my mate at RB, 1st practice I straight spin in turn 3 into the gravel and beach the car.

I took it a bit too serious replacing Carlos.

Btw my mate replaced Max.

Then in the race, I spin again, took too much curb in the chicane at the start of sector 2, Yuki smashed into my car, I have floor and rear wing damage.

At least I could use the Safety Car to pit for Hards, literally everyone else except the 2 Haas went onto Mediums.

Then even with all that damage I recovered to lead the race thanks to my mate spinning and then the engine fails.

And like in the My Team I'll re-do because of the driver transfer period fix only being for new saves it was again the control electronics that failed.

So I had in my My Team and co op career an engine failure in Bahrain and both times it was the control electronics.

And I use the Mercedes engine in my My Team, so it's even different engines.

When you finish Q3 it should move you to this screen where you see all sessions, and you can access settings from there (b4 starting the race session) and in one of the options there should be AI diificulty

Hey everyone, I've got a nice little setup all built and ready to go. It's a stand that has an r9 wheelbase with crp pedals. What are the first steps I should do as a newbie going into sim racing? What settings should I mess with in f1 23? Mainly will be playing f1 23, but will get into other things soon lol. Thanks in advance, any advice is appreciated!!

I guess first find most comfortable sitting position because that is apperantly a big part. Than, I would definitely won't focus ONLY on F1 23, I would try and experience other racing games, get used to the wheel and pedals and change their setting accordingly as comfortable as possible. Than if you do play F1 23, something I "regret" doing is playing with assists, because they slow you down, so I think it'll be better for you to play without any assists, hop onto time trial and experiment as you like as much as you like. I guess there are other more important stuff to do that other people here can think about

1st things I would say is trying out what assists you definitely need 1st and which ones you can get immediately rid off. Then messing around with the AI level, set it a bit higher, a bit lower until you find the sweet spot.

I mean won't it be better to just not use assists at first at all? Getting used to it can make you stay with them and lose time, and starting to play without any assists will definitely award him more in the future

Racing line, TC and ABS are the ones that you can use at the start and if you feel comfy try to get rid of.

For example racing line is something that I can't seem to get rid off, it was so easier for me to not use TC than racing line (racing line is the only assist I currently have, always lose time with it)

I still use it as I'm too lazy to go through the pain of learning braking points.

Also I use auto gear because of controller and I just can't manage to do it manually.

i turned off racing line in gt sport years ago and since then i never had racing line in any game

I've played some already, without racing lines drs assist brake assist, etc. The one thing I want to get rid of that I really can't seem to is ERS assist, as I can't see how much energy I have as I'm too close to my screen and my wheel doesn't show that
