Usually you run lower pressure in the race than in Qualifying so it’s something you need to test and try out for yourself. And of course it’s not the same for every track. Well basically you want to accelerate in the lowest gear possible but that doesn’t automatically mean gear 1 as most corners are too fast for that. You can use the rpm to help you. The rpm are the green, blue and red lights beneath the gear number on your steering wheel. When they are all on and blinking you should shift a gear up. For shifting down that depends on the corner but it’s the same if you go to low all the lights will blink or at least light up.

This actually showed another bug. If a driver is out in the 1st lap, this driver gets the fastest lap or if more than 1 driver is out in the 1st lap all drivers who DNFed in lap 1 get the fastest lap so in this case both Magnussen and Ricciardo got the fastest lap.
