I tried no assists on f1 22 for the first time today and I must say that manual gear changes wasn't really that much of a challenge for me, it was the no abs or traction control that is difficult

I recommend trying to get a helicam on open areas.

T4-T7 are the most common helicam opportunities at Imola.

Yeah, the win in Austria from Esteban was the most satisfying one.

SC fucked up my strategy, played Verstappen perfectly in the hands, so I had to give it everything to win this race.

My strategy was , but as the SC came out even wouldn't have lasted to the end, so I had to switch to a .

Whilst Max could go under the SC from to to finish the race.

Whilst I had still another pit stop to do.

So it was all about chasing him down with both Charles and Esteban.

They gave each other DRS to pull them along.

Then Esteban went wide twice, once holding both up and once losing the DRS to Charles.

But came back into his DRS later on.

Then 5 laps before the end, Charles locked up and the chance of a win for him was over.

So it was all on Esteban to chase Verstappen down and win this race.

Which he just did in the last lap.

That was a very satisfying win.

Honestly it’s good to improve in small increments like by a few hundredths a lap cos it’s shows your consistently hitting your PB’s and not just having flookey laps

Like you might get a rlly good lap but your not able to repeat it cos you took a line by accident which gained you time and most the time you don’t realise where the gain was

Understanding where you gain/loose time is important to improving

And sometimes sacrificing time somewhere else can set you up to gain time in another corner it’s like a lot of trial and error

Especially with the setup too finding what works for you is key

Then obviously time trial isn’t the best representation of race pace so doing race runs and learning how to stay consistent and fast when your tyres are dying is really good too

And with the thrustmaster dd sure it’s not perfect but it’s definitely enough to warrant a stay with them

It depends if you have use of the mfd but then also it has a bunch of programmable buttons which can be very handy

It has so many i don’t use most of them when racing
