Then as Lundgaard came out of the pits with fresh Mediums, I let him past because he was faster.

The DNFs in my career so far (all engine failures):
Bahrain: Verstappen (Red Bull Powertrain), Tsunoda (Red Bull Powertrain), Bottas (Ferrari)
Jeddah: Verstappen (Red Bull Powertrain), myself (Renault)
Australia: Gasly (Red Bull Powertrain), Ricciardo (Mercedes)

So out of 7 DNFs 4 were a Red Bull Powertrain.

All other engines had only 1.

I’ve had so many gearbox issues

I was leading a race last season and lost 4th gear, which is why Russell caught up to me and by then, I got 4th back

Then you just drive with a too much worn gearbox.

It's really more worth it to change to a new one.

Even if you get a penalty for it, it even helps you to get this positions back.

You just screw your race over with not changing it.

I recommend if it's over 60%, then change it.

Just check out the wear before going into quali and change parts if they're over 60%.

Whatever gear doesn’t over rev the car, but doesn’t leave it trying to accelerate in like 8th gear, if you downshift to 2 every corner the car will over rev, damaging components (especially ICE) and can cause you to spin too (also slows you down(downshifting causing the car to over rev is called engine braking))

If you have the HUD (I think it’s called, someone please confirm that cos I drive in cockpit cam and don’t have it) there is a mode called manual and suggested gear, and on the HUD there will be a red number (1-8) indicating what gear it suggests you shift down to for the corner
