They coulda gone with Super GT regulations, they coulda tried something bold like SUV racing or all electric series, you could have even gone with TCR rules if you had to, they had many better alternatives then just getting out GT3 cars and call it touring car racing, that's what turns me off big time and why I can't take them seriously.

GT500 uses class one which is the same as what DTM was before they switched to GT3 (and class one already weren't/aren't Touring Cars)

I wouldn't mind SUV racing either but like I said I don't think any manufacturer would have been ready for a brand new, not already existing set of regulations in such a short timespan.
