The issue with NASCAR is that it takes itself too seriously now

I get why they’re trying to do that, but that stereotype is what separates NASCAR from everything else
And taking themselves too seriously kinda led to their downfall from 2013-19
And a combination of a whooooole lot of other issues

In the last 10 mins of the 8hs of Bahrain, the #92 Porsche and #51 Ferrari were fighting for first place and the championship. Who won that race, would've won the championship in the GTE Pro class. They were within 1 sec and with the #92 Porsche was leading and in the last ten mins the Ferrari chrashed into the Porsche.

The race director told the #51 to give back the position but that was on the start-finish straight and the Porsche had already pitted so the Ferrari didnt know what to do and just carried on. The race stewards rescinded that order a few laps later and the Ferrari never gave the position back. Which caused discussion everywhere.

Based on the road-going Z06 – the 670hp version of the C8 Stingray, set to go on sale next summer – the GT3.R will share the same aluminum chassis, with a new LT6 engine modified for use in the racecar, and similar aerodynamic features.

It is the first time that Chevrolet has offered a turn-key, customer-focused racing Corvette for competition in a wide variety of GT3 championships.

Mark Stielow, Chevrolet director of motorsports competition engineering, declared: “It’s an exciting time for Corvette – first with the reveal of the production Z06 [last month] and now confirming the Corvette Z06 GT3.R for customer racers. The availability of the Z06 GT3.R will allow customer race teams the opportunity to campaign a Corvette that has benefited from Corvette Racing’s rich history.”
