We're on lap 8, and we've had two cautions already and not one full lap of racing
Green flag
Marcus on the podium yahoo
Grosjean P11?
Grosjean almost lost it
yeah, right after Mid Ohio
Good to see those NASCAR drivers turning to the right
Ericsson vibing in 3rd
Did i miss anything?
Oh.
I hate how Americans shows time gap with (-) instead of (+)
Then you missed the first 10 laps of chaos
two cautions, a few spins and dnfs
No big crashes?
I wouldnt say big
Maybe Ed Carpenter going to Power after he spun and deployed a smoke screen
It does sound interesting
Yes
I got one by my house.
What's happening to Johnson
Its called Disneyworld
My favorite part is how where the pit lane use to be is now a gas station
Nah the gas station was like 50m from the track I think
Man Mid Ohio looks so fun to drive
Is it in AC?
Im sure you can find a mod for AC
Ok NBC how many times are you going to advertise the nascar race ffs
Fox punching the air right now
herta crepped
Welcome to NBC
Yep,all of the American broadcasting channels are pretty shit
Also, constant Jimmie Johnson ads
Yes carvana milking him hard
I get why tho, he's a marketing machine even if he's doing quite shit in IndyCar atm
Yeah he’s recognizable enough for casual people
He's a fucking 7 time NASCAR champ
Statistically one of the GOATs of NASCAR
So not surprising
As long he keeps bringing the money, he aint leaving
Did anything happen to herta?
He had a slow stop
I don't have Indy Car in my program now BUT i have nascar on my program soon
Rossi doing Baja 1000
When was the last time the American Rossi raced in F1?
2015
Time flies
I know nascar will start for me at 8:30PM
Yes
And yes its on my program
Hoping Rossi can catch Dixon and atleast get a podium
Newgarden better not be robbed
istg they trying to jinx him
Has anything happened since lap 43
Breh
CGR must be sweating right now with strategy
Why didnt they pit?
Ericsson pitting
they all pitting
okay the race lowkey getting interesting now
I got ads.
Whats happening
aw. He stalled it
wtf Palou P3.
Oh wow
And already we had 120K< fans at Austria
Why does the cheese on Sargento's truck not really look like... Actual cheese
Because its the trailer...? 🤷♂️
Trailer on a Billboard
No I mean the little slices you see on the truck
Lmao
The Truck Itself looks like Spongebob Squarepants
What race is this
Indycar at Mid Ohio
Mid Ohio
Thx
They should've added in Ware but they add in Norman
I remember driving Road America for the first time on Forza back in like Elementary School and being confused asf by the truck
Ericsson is catching Newgarden

I laugh every time I go past it
Never driven in it in a game unfortunately
Music City GP ad moment
Wait Music City GP is going to be at Twilight?
CMON MARCUS
Music City Circuit is just Indycar's Baku
COME ON PENSKE
Ericsson is near Newgarden's tail?!
2.3 seconds
Now 1. 4
Newgarden got more ptp atleast
Uh oh
Finally
Race 10 already?
Spoilers
||Newgarden won at Mid Ohio||
Yup

🇺🇸
That was intense
These Chip Ganassi Drivers are Scary
.
Palou Dixon and Ericcson
Them Sweds cant get us 😤
🇺🇸
And Veekay even though he's not in CGR
Merica Moment
Detroit race 1
Shut.
Murica
I mean, Ericsson this season his doing really good this season.
.
I just want Newgarden to win because of he should've won earlier.
Good
That's good
Ehem^
wym Twilight? Like around sunset?
Yeah
:newspaper: | Mid-Ohio IndyCar: Newgarden wins to end Penske's drought
NASCAR Time and its at Road America
Pitbull has recently tooken over the CGR NASCAR team for Trackhouse Next Year

nascar time baby
1st time watching
It’s shit sometimes and really good at others
I'm watching Nascar on a sports channel called SportKlub
i never watch nascar
but this is a road race on my favorite circuit
so its worth it
Im debating if I should go to the Coke 400
dutch commentator: bobba wallace
Serbian commentator: Srđan Erceg
In gran turismo 5 there's 2 nascar cars in the game
2020: Chase Elliot Dominance
2021: Kyle Larson Dominance
unfortunately
suarez driving mega slow
literally parked
caution
car said
why is there a doc standing next to him literally nothing happened
lmao theyre literally pushing him
yesss they have renger on the tv broadcast
Renger Zande?
yes
damn on Nascar
he is saying some stuff about chip
Obviously.
"ponoco" renger dumasss
A truk is pushing lol
IndyCar about Pocono
Wait why are they now showing Olympic stars being tranported

well that was confusing
Is Allmendinger American?
Doesn't sound American
But it's NASCAR so
Probably is
yes he is american
I thought Suarez was the only international driver
mexican?
Mexico
Ah
LESS GOOO
This is nascar event when is 4th of July the American holiday
today is 4th of july
Yes
Cody?
Ye
LFG
T2 and T4 exist but the kink between T11 and T12 doesn't
I forgot he was in the NASCAR Race. Maybe that's why Norman Replaced Him
Should added in Samaia alongside Grosjean
Ride along with Kevin Harvick for the NASCAR Cup Series race at Road America with this week's In-Car Camera presented by Mobil 1.

chase elliot didnt dominate shit lmfao
2020 was the denny and kevin show
Chase popped up when the playoffs started
Fucking crazy that Road America hasn't had a NASCAR race since 1956
It looks like a track that could've been like
A part of the NASCAR calendar for a long time but then was dropped in the 90s
But nah
1956
sheesh
that 3 wide into turn one
lol
2nd row turned into 1st row
hahahaha love it
these guys are not being nice to each other
love to see it
i wish f1 cars weren't so fragile
This is why Formula E is the NASCAR of open wheelers
They are a lil bit fragile but not as much as F1
They can take some hits
Makes perfect sense
F to Cindric
And Ware is a lap down
there goes the #7
brings a whole grass mat with him
Chastain ate some dirt
Busch gonna get that stage W
Don't wanna jinx
Oh he's pitting
Fuck
Rip our racing weeb
😔
lool busch
:newspaper: | Ericsson, Palou content at Mid-Ohio, Dixon says more work needed
Mid-O
Meanwhile in Super GT
Of Course that car 👀
They should've put out yellow laps ago
There's like a Tire and grass. Tons of Debris
He's getting his lap back 😎
lol
@buoyant shale are you watching with dutch comms
did you hear the cola story lol
Whats on rn?
Nah I'm watching with other ways
Won't tell what
nascar
NASCAR Cup Series at Road America
Ah ok
Quite fun so far
NASCAR at normal circuits works quite well
NASCAR return to Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve when
DiBurrito is back to the lead 😎
🌯
What about Mexico City
The one in F1 and the one in Formula E
Yes the xfinity series raced there
Imagine
Before
IndyCar returning to Hermanos Rodriguez would be epic
Problem is
Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, Watkins Glen
Tracks I SERIOUSLY want in IndyCar
Will they use inside the stadium or Outside
Probably use the stadium
Yeah
It has so many advantages
Great to have fans here
.
The section as a track isn't to Great tho but whatever
Why you should use the oval final turn
-idk decent for racing maybe? Fun to drive for sure
Why you should use stadium
-Far safer then the oval turn
-Could be a overtaking opportunity in IndyCar
-PATO FANS
Actually idk how big IndyCar is even in Mexico but I hope it's getting more popular with Pato
Hmmm
Hoping it can returns. F1 Revived the Track
bad bot
No u
good bot
Thank you
You're welcome
Don't get that some people prefer the old layout
Especially the esses
The old esses looked so bland
I don't remember too much on the old layout but it's way different to the modern one
Ese del Lago Modern you have better chances to overtake I believe
Yeah
Which is the fe mexcivo layout
The Esses give me axienty. However it does makes it more technical but would make overtaking harder
And the final corner. It's an I interesting corner but very unsafe
As that's an oval without any runoff
Ok bot
They have two of them
On top is the recent one
So how many esses do you want
Yes
Alright
The only change I would give to Mexico is to make the stadium section more quicker than a hairpin?
So basically you want what the old Foro Sol was
Oof crash
Blown tire possibly
HERE COMES THE DUCT TAPE
Yeah but not a corner angle
DUCT TAPE SOLVE ALL PROBLEN
They should've had Flex Tape
DUCT TAPE
When the duct tape comes out shit is getting real
Goodyear alright
Wait till the hammers come out
🔨
Also isn't this like the largest crowd Road America has had since the 20th century
Random fun fact
Road America in 1956
Last time NASCAR raced there
Road America in 2021.
It's the same
Yep, literally the exact same in layout outside of adding some alternative layouts and pitlane changes
And well, runoff very different.
Track is also basically just as wide as back then
Aka
Not very wide, basically just enough to go two wide
:newspaper: | Newgarden was calculating grip loss to win at Mid-Ohio
Think of a F1 Track with no changes
Like a current one
That is at least 30 years old
To make it fair
Ermmmm
Monza
Nah
Monaco
No
Wait no
No
Monza had a VERY different T1 chicane
Zigzag
Monza 1991
Only thing different about this one is the pit lane
Nurburgring gp
Close
Melbourne?
Doesn't count
Pit lane and tobac, and second chicane
It's not 30 years old
Do uh zandavoort
The nice thing about Nascar races is that they are so fucking long and I went to get groceries. And still managed to get back to watch the final stage
This is Zandvoort in 1991 lol @azure fable
lol
Bruh
Congrats @azure fable, you're now on lap 10
Haha
The time club track Zandvoort was a thing
Where the main thing they hosted was uhhhhh
Driving DAF cars backwards

Elliot the Road Course King into the lead.
Oooo. Ik it's not f1, but daytona road course
That's different
I can tell you that
When was the chicane added?
Hmmmm
Uh, when imsa said speeds where to high
THAT BUSSTOP
Bus stop was lorger in 1991
Nah it's the same
Bring back 1991 Chicane 😤
It looks bigger because they added a alternative tighter hairpin to the inside
Ah.
It changed so ❌
Better idea
Le Mans?
They added the chicanes in like the 80s I think
I'll make it easier
.
Any track without changing the layout for at least 30 years
they changed tetre rouge in 2007
(Abandoned Tracks don't count)
Hm
It's the same
It's not
Except sector one
Look at Dunlop chicane and Tertre Rouge
norisring
Laguna Seca
Also pit exit
Bruh we were talking about tracks that haven't changed at all tho right?
Yeah

Fuck uh oh
Quite a bit
Only difference I can find is pit entry
what about willow springs

Pits dont count
There is a change
Indy road course
The final corner
1953 willow
No
willow now
Big Willow literally HASNT CHANGED SINCE ITS OPENING
Wow
Only thing is pit lane
pit lane doesnt count
I almost forgot Willow Springs
Yeah indy road course. Reasoning why is because it doesn't exist if I'm correct during that time
I mean Big Willow didn't have to change since it's in the middle of the desert with like 1km of just sand runoff
Indianapolis Oval
What about Norisring?
A ton of ovals*
Soooo many ovals
Except Homestead and stuff
O TEXAS
Texas Motor Speedway has changed
Ovals doesn't count
watkins also really hasnt changed that much
Except bus stop right
Besides bus stop
Mhm
Yeah but in a bad way
depends on the layout being used
1971 grand prix circuit
modern grand prix circuit
Same
the grand prix with the bus stop is called grand prix with inner loop circuit
Watkins Glen has Exempted
But the bus stop is basically always used so
Frankly, love bus stop so
Bus stop best chicanes
the official grand prix layout of watkins glen doesnt use bus stop
but its never used

Sazuka?
Has changed quite a bit
Tsukuba maybe?
Degner
wtf Melbourne was a track before F1? Learned something everyday
Suzuka changed Denver and the chicane
Ew
Oh yeah they had different layouts
Spa also had proposed different layouts too
And the VERY VERY first proposal of Suzuka, not by Hugenholtz but by the owner of Honda himself
Also not located on the spot Suzuka is in rn
But then the Honda owner was like I suck at this
On that
Probably just not
Makes since
Also it is quite long
my favorite circuit
Also wait is that maybe a early Spoon I see there on the left?
😳
Sussy circuit
It’s time for the among us sus Prix
Brands Hatch?
That's your favourite? Pathetic.
what the fuck is that
Once again, how would run offs work
Looks like something out of CART
another beauty
It's a semi perm circuit before it was made cool by Miami and Singapore
what the hell
America
lithuania actually
It looks like a track that I would made if I was 9
So like those AVUS straights on the left there? Those are using a highway next to the track
breathes heavily
Okay. But what about Brands Hatch? I can't think of any changes
hello
PALANGA
this is #motorsports
wrong chat
Fuck
Halp dark mode
Reminder Palanga 1006km in two weeks?
is it actually
Yes
f1 is a motorsport tbf 🤷

yes but we are discussing other stuff here
Everyone shall enjoy the wonders of Palanga

Certified motorcycle road racing moment
shrimp track
1975 v today
Isle of Man hasn't changed since 1960
Indy Circuit was more quicker
Btw when is the Isle of Man TT and is it broadcasted
Isle of Man is exempt
Shame on you Nurburgring
Indy circuit has a bit of a change in the back straight
Ok Lewis we have yellow flags in sector 2,8,29,57 and 73
not this year
isle of man too scary for me
Has nbr changed?
Welcome to motorcycle road racing
this layout hasnt changed for a while
Yes it has
I went skydiving and my instructor went to Isle of Man, he told me it was so boring.
I mean yeah because of the GP track mostly
truly the definition of a racetrack
usually runs last week in may and first week in june ifrc.
absolutely
Wait wtf why is the eprix circuit 7 meters shorter at monaco
lol
Oh so it already happened?
The chicane
They changed it
Idk if it should be exempt 👀
F1 should use the old FE Monaco circuit next year
whats live rn?
Nazcah
Nascar at Road America
oh yeah
100 lap race moment
didn't run this year unfortunately cause the island had got down to 0 covid in like february and cancelled all major events to avoid potentially getting more covid cases
indycar keep promoting nascar lol
Ah ok
NBC kept promoting nascar*
Both on NBC
NBC a moment
Chase 34 to win speedrun any% glitchless
Chase Elliot is actually just running a secret GT3 prototype.
is there any other platform other than nbc and peacock?
Nah 171
Anything interesting happening in the nascar race
Holy christ
Nascar is also on Fox as well.
Also yes I know F1 race lenghts are 305km but Monaco is 300km
I have no clue why
It just is
monaco is 260
bet f2 cars r faster than indycar lol
if it was 300-305km then it wouldn't be completed in time
Yeah races can’t be over 2 hours
That's a ton
Even Bahrain outer was a lot
Around a corner, yes. In a straight line, no.
I mean it's a 1.76km track what do you expect @azure fable
overall....
Bowman hits Larson
Damn the punt
Is something happening in the race
Yeah it fun
OH SHIT
Bowman tf
Rip Larson
That pass was simply impossible to actually be successful
Atleast its not his other teammate in th 9
His brakes just went
It was quite desperate ngl
Bowman got so much smoke
Also this may be the most attention a NASCAR race has gotten in this server since the Daytona 500?
Not sure
Bowman pit
He got damage on his right rear, possibly from Hamlin
road course on good track moment
COTA?
I think it did.
Not surprising
Im debating if I should go to the Coke 400 🤔
Coke 600 you mean?
is it 600?
Problem is with the Coke 600, it was in the middle of the night for Europeans.
Yes @eternal ravine
The Daytona race in August, thats what Im trying to say
bowman pitting
too lazy to go to my tv so just gonna watch this lol https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aBnRVvN5zVY

Coke Zero 400?
It's the longest race on the NASCAR calendar, it's basically a endurance race
Oooh there's two
the coke zero is in august
Yeah Coca Cola 600 has already happened on the other hand
I was tickets are pretty cheap
Didn't get too much attention here I think because shit time for Europeans
So maybe I'll go.
Yes
I always go to Daytona for Rolex, but never been for Nascar
I would say go
They put on a great show.
NASCAR at Daytona is quite fun to watch imo
Never been live ofc but yeah
To watch on tv
It's quite fun
As long there is no rain delay and the race is not til like 3am. I'll be fine
Bc I aint getting no hotel
sleep in car
Yes let's put up a tent on the top of the Daytona grandstand
Make a campfire as well
11/10 idea
Ngl that would be quite something
carry a shed as well
If it was actually possible
Not sure what restrictions Daytona's infield gonna have this year
put a tent at the spotter place
tell them to fuck off and pitch a tent at larson's spotter
Good plan
I really want to sit like very high in the grandstands one time
If I ever make it to Daytona
Especially for the Rolex 24
The grandstands is made of 3 floors
Just stay in Floor 1 the whole time
Floor 2 if you want some cool view or something
Floor 3 is like noise bleeds
White flag
graag gedaan
Ah
Can you see everything from floor 2?
Chase Elliot wins at a Road Course...in other news. The sky is blue

Bad start to the year but he really got back after cota
You can def see everything from Floor 2.
34th to 1st pogggggg
But if you want to watch the race, best places is from Floor 1 and the infield really
Kinda wanted to watch some anime or something today but this race was far longer then I thought lol
So might go to sleep instead
Me too
Highly recommend staying in the infield for like 90% of the Rolex race
Im only go to the grandstands at the start/finish of the race, or during the night bc its cool to see the cars go into T1 at night.
:newspaper: | Andretti team sucker-punched by misfortune at Mid-Ohio
andretti be laggin
I was watching NASCAR on Road America last night, NASCAR on road track is kinda boring imo
nascar is boring in general
cars are too bad around a track for good racing
and circles are circles
yes
Expect superspeedways.those are fun
I find it sl ironic how non-racing fans as a whole say Road Courses are just circles
well it brings you where you start back
Technically yes
which is why saying "ovals = circles is bullshit"
focusing on just the track layout is the most surface level shit
If drag racing can be exciting, then Oval racing can be
Oval racing has always been exciting imo
There are 2 @IndyCar drivers who have finished top 10 on every road and street course this year.
@scottdixon9 and @Ericsson_Marcus
Quite liked yesterday's Road America race personally
Ericsson finally showing his talent this year
:newspaper: | Newgarden: Palou is “most complete” of IndyCar’s new stars
What do you think of it
Imo it’s the most dangerous sport
ever
200+mph in narrow roads and mountain regions
I think like 2 people die every race lol
:newspaper: | Ericsson: “Confidence is a beautiful thing when you have it”
He has shown it before
But just very subtle
Why they tag Will Buxton
Good Ending
Almost feels like Tatiana isn't trying to be very successful in motorsports necessarily but just wants to try out every car or something
Fair goal

Introducing the PEUGEOT 9X8 Hypercar, Peugeot Sport's contender set to race in FIA World Endurance Championship and at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2022.
I kinda assume that's not the full race spec yet (I'd be surprised if they don't have a proper rear wing) but damn
looks mad
that looks really hawt
no WANG
no WANG STONKS
No rear wang means less drag means SPEEEEEEEEED on the Mulsanne
Lol
Chads
essentially from my complete newbie eyes, they have a rear "wing" but its attached to the body work instead, with air coming in from the sides instead of directly underneath
Probably lots of underbody sculpting for more downforce
In interview they say their calculation shows an actual rear wing is not needed, and they aim to not have one for the le Mans spec version
4wd drive aswell
From the comments
somethign akin to the 97 williams low-drag rear wing
no

Trying to break speed records in a french car eh? Seems familar
To make it more French, is that they do a speed record attempt, but don't publicly reveal the speed, so nobody knows if it was actually beaten.
I believe they may be doing something with this to generate rear downforce
Hypercars dont have sidepods yeah?
Big changes are coming to @amsupdates for 2022 with higher banking and a narrower race track.
https://t.co/8ShvZJ78SC #NASCAR
Banking will be 28 Degrees
RIP
Is Aston Martin still developing the Valkyrie
if atlanta is repaved, who will chew those tyres now
Uh... Yeah?
Just... Not for a series
no regs hypercar²
Yeah, interestingly enough, it's essentially their Hypercar without power restriction
But as a result of such, they ditched the Hybrid
:newspaper: | IndyCar inks new multi-year deal with Road America
Cool, i thought with the RB partnership gone it would somewhat hinder its development
They wont put it in LMH in the future?
Reason 1. The announcement of LMDh made Aston Martin want Hypercars to be significantly better, hence lobbying to change rules which jeopardised the Alfa Romeo Engines for the Glickenhaus, which eventually led to pulling out because LMDh kills off any customer base for Hypercar teams
Reason 2. Aston Martin F1 also started so like
in btw
they nearly went bankrupt
stroll swooped in
saved AM
and then rebranded his team
Yeah
No it... Bruh
see without covid
the program was going thru
the stroll buyout
led to Red Bull ties getting cut
i think the am le mans project is separate from the am f1 project
i don't think stroll renaming racing point into am really did anything to am from the le mans side
unless i'm massively mistaken
ehm
AM went bankrupt
more or less
stroll bought em out
and led cost cuttings
then rebranded his already owned F1 team with that name
so AM spent jackshit to get into F1
The point was, AM was banking on the fact that going into LMPH would give them a customer base which they could make money from
LMDh coming out of that decided to basically be like NAWH
but their car business crashed too
ahh
Ye
wait LMH is equal to LMDh right?
nope
yes
oh
Now it is
one of the main difference being LMDh is standardised chassis while LMH can be freely designed by the constructor?
the 4 chosen lmp2 manufacturers
are options
Ligier
oreca
dallara
multimatic
That's a worrying sign
share common engine
just cosmetically & aerodynamically will be a bit different
and Porsche will have a factory team (Penske)
Audi will be positioned for customer racing
No as in... It's worrying as the last couple times I remember Audi and Porsche collaborating, we got the Audi RS2, and the 917/30

Wait so the Southern 500
Is north of both Dega and Daytona?
Or is “Southern” just a sponsor 😂
Southern as in, Southern USA
Darlington is far older then Daytona and Dega so
Right but it’s north of both of those tracks
Does the name just predate Daytona and Dega being built?
Yes
Predates Daytona by 2 years
Were there really no races further south though??
Like… the whole sport is southern
Is it only southern compared to like… Indy?
But the reason they called it Southern 500 is uhhh... Largest race in the south maybe?
At that time
It basically was a name of its time that sticked around
Like I think it was one of the few 500s at that time
That’s what I’m wondering, if it’s the 500 in the south, compared to Indy being the northern 500
Yeah maybe
There was also a western one
The Winston Western 500 was an annual NASCAR Winston Cup race held at Riverside International Raceway in Riverside, California, United States, in January, and then in later years, November. From 1963 to 1981, the race was held in January and was the season opening race. NASCAR elected to start its season with the Daytona 500 beginning in 1982, s...
RIP Riverside
Also man, 500 miles around a normal road course. In those stock cars... That was more of a endurance race then the Coca Cola 600
it will happen
Yep
