You know, one of the best/worst things about NASCAR is the win variability. Sometimes I look up a NASCAR driver and am surprised at how few wins they have. Then I remember that winning a NASCAR race is much more inconsistent due to a variety of factors. It's a great thing but sometimes inconvenient. However, I will never complain about more competition as a fan.

Not saying he would have been guaranteed a win, but I think his chances were much better if it weren't a literal 1 lap shootout. He got doomed by that considering they had the slip stream. He defended extraordinarily well, but there's only so much you can do with all of them right behind you and only a single lap for you to do anything with them in the slipstream on your ass.

Shitty that the race ended that way, but shit happens. Good race overall. I would rate the main three races today Indy 500 > F1 Canada > Coca Cola 600. I could go back and forth on whether Coca Cola 600 or the F1 race was better. First half the F1 race? Better than the Coca Cola 600. Second half? Not so much, even if it had a moment or two.

Either way good race overall. Regardless if the call was warranted at least we got the vast majority of the race. Unfortunate that NASCAR/Indy can't run in the rain, but completely understandable. Even many circuit series like F1 don't really like running in the rain, and that's with run offs and lower average speeds.

Also over 160 cars, that competed for the win in different classes. And Max Verstappen drove there. So technically the Indy 500 wasnt the biggest race this year in the world.

You re right. Many famous and good drivers drove there and it is definitly one of the biggest races! But for me the best race is the n24. It also might be my favourite race, because im german and i am nearly every year there. And i can say that the history isnt even that bad as well. Maybe not as big than the Indy 500. But still pretty cool. I really recommend you to watch it when you re in germany.

I think the wiindscreen would do best. It will actually deflect objects instead of kicking into the driver. Also Engress is still no issue. Cockpit no good egress. AKA Alonsos AUS crash as example. Coolin is an issue too.
