And class wins are awarded for those who are first overall within their class.

If a LMH car finishes first, they receive both the overall race win and the class win for the LMH category

The highest placed LMGT3 car will receive a class win for the LMGT3 class

That sort of thing would be applicable to IMSA considering there are certain races on the calendar where either the GTP, LMP2, and GTD Cars all race together or if it’s only certain categories racing together such as the LMP2 and GTD’s
