The violent accident on the first lap shocked the spectators. In the middle of the accident, Gianni van de Craats in the FK Performance Motorsport BMW M4 GT4 inadvertantly hit the driver door of Luca Bosco's BWT Mücke Motorsport Mercedes-AMG GT4. The onboard footage from the Mercedes showed Bosco writhing in pain and losing consciousness.

The 20-year-old Italian was taken to hospital fora further examination, from where he has now spoken out. Bosco states that he suffered minor hemorrhages in his brain and lungs following the accident. In addition, the impact into the side door wass a big shock.

Bosco hopes that he will be able to leave hospital as soon as possible and wants to be back on the grid for the season finale in Hockenheim.
