And my point is if you want women to be competitive in motorsports you can't limit their competition. Iron Dames is the correct approach, they find the best female drivers and run normal GT races and have proven to be pretty good.

And I'm just saying, maybe take a step back and wonder if the reason W-Series failed was that it was women only.

Could it be the calendar being incredibly expensive?

Could it be the fact that the drivers swapped rides every race? Therefore meaning teams and sponsors had no buy in to investing in individual drivers' careers, every sponsor was a series sponsor.

Could it be the fact that one person dominated it the entire time, because that person couldn't secure another ride after the W-Series, when one of the main stated aims of that series existing was to help them secure rides after the W-Series?

Would those factors have led to this series failing even if it wasn't women only?

it's so easy to jump to the main distinguishing factor and blame that, but it was not the only one

That's what I'm saying, race teams outside the W-Series didn't feel like it was representative, if a female driver is tearing it up in a typical lower division then I doubt that woulda been the case

I do think the sponsor thing is a big issue and I believe F1 Acadamy has a better approach in that regard. Because while it's partly paid for by F1, the drivers also need to bring in their own money. Which in turn means they need to secure sponsors and that is an important part of racing anyway.
