The reason theyre called Le Mans Daytona h is because they can both race in IMSA and WEC - and those two series have the basically "tradition" to call their regulations after their biggest races (Le Mans 24 is the biggest WEC race, Daytona 24 is the biggest IMSA race)
Like the previous regulation package in IMSA was called Daytona Prototype international, DPi
and the previous regulation package in WEC was called Le Mans Prototype 1, LMP1
So making it LMDh, referring to both Le Mans and Daytona, implies its for both IMSA and WEC

Let me just explain LMDh, LMH, GTP and Hypercar and what they mean in the most simple terms (but also detailed)

LMDh (Le Mans Daytona h/hybrid/hypercar) and LMH (Le Mans Hypercar) are two regulation packages that can be used in both the Hypercar class in WEC, and the GTP (Grand Touring Prototype, nostalgic throwback name basically) class in IMSA. With one asterisk ill explain at the end. So if you have a LMDh car, you can run in both IMSA and WEC. If you have a LMH, you can run in both WEC and IMSA(*).

LMDh and LMH cars are made to be around similar pace. But the way the cars are developed is different. LMDh forces manufacturers to partner with a chassis builder (Dallara, Multimatic, Ligier or Oreca), so basically your base chassis is similar to that of a LMP2, but differently styled and different aero etc. You also get a standardized hybrid unit added. LMH meanwhile gives you far more freedom to do whatever. This makes it more expensive, but you can do more stuff. You can run hybrid, have to make it yourself though, but its optional. You make everything yourself basically. This leads to some more out there designs like the Peugeot for example, with no rear wing.

So tldr: LMDh and LMH are the regulations, and both can run in the Hypercar class in WEC and the GTP class in IMSA (asterisk)

(the asterisk: IMSA has a rule that you have to be a car manufacturer producing a certain amount of cars in the United States. This is why for example Peugeot cant run in IMSA, since Peugeot doesnt sell in the US. But if they slapped on some stickers from the related Dodge, they can run in IMSA. Since Dodge makes cars in the USA. The certain amount having to be made in the USA also prevents American boutique sportscar builder Glickenhaus, who have a LMH, to run in IMSA. Which angers their owner very much)

The difference between IMSA and WEC is that WEC is a global championship, with rounds that are a minimum of 6 hours long (6h is most of the calendar, or 1000 miles in the case of Sebring, set amount of laps), up to 24h - of course Le Mans

Meanwhile IMSA is a championship only running in North America, with a lot more rounds - but those rounds can be as short as like, 1 hour and 40 mins (Long Beach), 2h 40 mins are most rounds, but also has rounds of 6h (Watkins Glen), 10h (Petit Le Mans) 12h (Sebring) and up to 24h - Daytona

Both ofc race on normal circuits and also street circuits (Le Mans is technically half street, and IMSA has Long Beach which is a street circuit)

IMSA is nice in that if you dont live in the USA or Canada, its free to watch legally

But yeah as you can seee, IMSA has already had its biggest race, the Rolex 24 at Daytona, but in a few weeks (16-17 march) you'll have Sebring - where WEC will race on friday with the 1000 miles of Sebring (should take around 6-7 hours), and IMSA will then run the 12h of Sebring on saturday
