form tends to be up and down for everyone in periods of a season

Max in 2024 had periods where he was nowhere near the win, yet still was pumping out solid points every weekend to hang on

And Oscar was also putting out solid points in 2025, even when he wasnt winning he was always top 5 when he saw the flag, in fact im pretty sure he was on for a better season than 2024 max if we put aside the slipups, but the difference this time is that there were less different winners taking points out of each other so they could put their full focus into taking points out of the gap to oscar (and eventually in Lando's case trying to build/sustain the lead)
