First of all, Red Bull car was higher downforce which gave them the advantage in qualifying. And I wouldn’t generalize it to short or long runs. It was just that the track was wet and more aerodynamical grip helped them counter that slippery track. The problem is that for tomorrow, it’s expected to be dry which means they won’t need as much grip and higher downforce also equals higher drag which will dramatically slow them down, particularly on straights.
