Yeah
@lean hatch this was the demo
That's amazing
Yeah
Much prefer this tho
Jagaur xjr-9
Last chassis produced of the xjr-9s
This is our group c that races
I've seen several photos of that Jaguar in this channel
It's a great car, the XJR-9. Won both Le Mans and Daytona in 1988.
Ye then ours did again last year at Le Mans classic
Yeah, you showed that one time
Yeah
It’s a great car can’t wait to work on it again this year although we haven’t got it back from the owners show room yet
Muh upscaling yoooo
Beautiful
Cool
You know what's one of the worst type of crash race retirements? Crashing into a tree
Was that Dick Johnson’s mustang?
Oh wait
Nvm
I saw the photo in the bottom right
It was the Falcon
jesus christ bro
that thing is mangled
"When in doubt, go flat out!"
Almost done with my 917
Ooooh the Mitsu one
Dude I love the aesthetic these have
Same. I just can't stop looking at the cars that were used in the Fuji GC Series during the 1980s. (even though they were mainly just F2 and F3000 cars with some bodywork) These are so cool.
Unobtanium: obtained.
It’s with overwhelming pride and excitement that we share our most recent collaboration with you; the discovery and acquisition of a car that defined a generation.
Anyone who counts themselves an enthusiast of GT racing’s ‘golden era’ or has played one of the celebrated Gran Turismo series of games knows exactly what this...
(After showing the cardboard "roll cage")
Jeremy Clarkson: "I'm not saying Lancia actually did that. But if you examine these crashed 037s, you can see they weren't exactly.... strong"
I mean those cages are only just not folding like omlettes
In any case, Lancia was always in the spotlight for that tubular chassis. This whole issue intensified with the death of Toivonen
was it not the fact the fuel tank had no protetction that caused the blazing inferno
which was just a standard thing for that type of rally at the time
Was that. But in the aftermath of this tragedy, many Lancia inefficiencies were seen
Well Henri had a fever that day and it was hot as it was, but after the RS200 crash where teams boycotted, Lancia basically said you won't be paid if you try it again

I just got an XJR-9 LM model, unfortunately no Silk Cut logos but same paint scheme, I’ll have to show you pictures once it’s done!
Awesome please do
Probably at least a month
No problem
damn that's high quality
@muted hamlet what number is the xjr you work on the most?
I think I have enough numbers that i can get yours
12
where did you get that photo?
It ran as the #21 but we change the car between #20 and #21 due to number clashes but it ran as the #21
Is that for the model ur making?
So that’s the car I work on as it ran in period
Le Mans 1988
I got it!
Have to start from somewhere same for us irl
I hope yours has an engine at least 😂
Wish I had the silk cut decals though, kit had to censor them. Grrr
U could probably get some somewhere
Well that was the lister
Above
Had to start somewhere with it
@muted hamlet another random question, do you have any pics of the brakes and brake calipers? I can’t find any great pictures
Yea mate one minute
@noble tree that’s the best I have
Oh they’re blue 😳
Starting to take some sort of shape
Still trying to find decent decals for the silk cut logos
Looking good atm tho
Got a long ways to go still, hoping to find some decals for a reasonable price, everything I’ve seen is like 1/2 the price of the kit which is outrageous
I’ll have a look round for u what scale is it?
1/24th scale
Ok I’ll look for u
There is some there
For 1:24th scale
And has #21
Ok I found one that’s just the decals I need and its 20 with shipping, I’m going to go for that one.
Nice
Wow this one was stacked! A lot of very cool cars and sounds from this one, featuring:
• Brun C91 Judd (1991 WSC Group C)
• Epsilon Euskadi ee1 Judd (2008 LMS LMP1)
• Jaguar XJR-12 V12 (1991 Le Mans Group C)
• Peugeot 908 HDi FAP (2008 Le Mans LMP1)
• Panoz LMP07 Mugen (2002 ALMS LMP900)
• Tiga GT286 Buick (1986 IMSA Lights)
• Ensign N173 (1973 ...
Speaking of
Also those Jags look j7st gorgeous
Xjr-9 is better
Bruh I was just giving the context of the first one to really have the shape

sick
Helsinki Thunder
That was a round in the FIA GT Championship
It was also used for DTM, too
And they went ahead and put music on it so you can't hear the engines
And tbey ignore the existence of the Elise GT1
I never knew they had a street race there, do they still?

what is this, a 767?
Yeah
Ratzenberger and Senna
They dont
The track hosted only for 1995-1997
It was nearly a track in the 2010 F1 calendar
Dont really know
was a track on the provisional calendar for GPWC
which was the possible breakaway series that was really just a tool for negotiating by FOTA
Top Gear introduces the return of the legendary british racing car manufacturer in 1992. After this racing car was meant to come P401 touring car. P351 made comeback in 1997 by an open cockpit version and Nissan engine. B.R.M is making comeback as an electric hill climb car: http://members.madasafish.com/~d_hodgkinson/brm-BeeFour.htm
This V12 sounds Brutal
Oh yeah the V12 was worked with Weslake and Ricardo
I didn't expect Weslake to be involved
I normally associate them with the AAR team in F1
Either they were involved, or the BRM V12's foundation was the Weslake
which... Ion know bout allat
It's still pretty interesting
Mmm
IT has a knack in Cockpit Bubble and rear Wing to resemble the Bentley that would follow
It looks so cool
it's a shame all the 12 cylinder 750kg gr.C cars sucked ass
NP35
C291
P351
but at least the C291 has a win to its name and also 3rd in the 1991 WSPC
And the Lamborghini
Ah yea, the Spice-Lamborghini
and I believe the first prototypes of the Brun C91
So that's the name of this car
I saw the video's thumbnail, but I never watched it
Wow this one was stacked! A lot of very cool cars and sounds from this one, featuring:
• Brun C91 Judd (1991 WSC Group C)
• Epsilon Euskadi ee1 Judd (2008 LMS LMP1)
• Jaguar XJR-12 V12 (1991 Le Mans Group C)

• Ensign N173 (1973 ...
He's not hangin' about
timestamped
Also one prototype I believe wasnted to try the Moderni-Subaru Boxer 12... Wait that was the Dome jiotto Caspita...
Yup
It was the Caspita
Also, I expected that Brun to be powered by a V10, considering how Judd V10's were used in the WSCC before
This thing?
I'm surprised it was also proposed for F1 usage
Not to mention it being designed by the same guy who did the BMW M12
Apparently they wanted SEAT to bankroll it coz ooo Spanish
SEAT out of all companies, huh?
They tested it in a 962
That's fascinating, and also a bit cursed. They could've tested it in a Spice SE90, but I'm not sure if the chassis would be good enough for the engine
3 units
It has the weight and power.... but what about reliability?
I would assume with the layshaft centre drive it'd have issues
ironically
Der Neotech Formel 1-Motor.
This articles German Bruh
To be honest, I'm kinda unsurprised, considering Yamaha's V12, Motori Moderni-Subaru's Flat 12, and Lamborghini's 3512 all were unreliable. I think the engine would just add onto the trend of unreliable 12 cylinder engines
So now we got Neotech, Isuzu, HKS, Suzuki, MGN, Nissan, Subaru and that all made 12 cylinders which found no footing
Mmm
So Life Racing Engines weren't the only ones to create a W12 F1 engine
Interesting
I have a feeling it was just as bad as the Life W12
I'm surprised there is actual footage
I'm not surprised that the exhaust note sounds like a V8, since Life's W12 produced that sort of note
THERE'S SOUND
(well, both are 3 banks of 4 cylinders, which would explain why)
I wonder how nuts it would sound if you linked all 12 pipes together equally
With a 12 tone over 4
as opposed to over 3 and 6

I have a fetish for all the pipes in one
same here
Also, shouldn't this go in #classic-motorsport
since we went from sportscars to F1
No,
ok then
Why do I have the feeling that I've seen this car before.....
Also, I'm surprised Norma produced cars at that time
The only power figure I can find for this lump is 500hp
It's a real shame, IndyCar and Group C were this close to blowing up in Bernie and Max's face
But along came the 3.5L regs and Tony George
If the manufacturer base of JUDD for example was a bit further ahead as they ended up getting with the GV4
I wouldn't be surprised if F1 started jumping ship as opposed to the other way around
Funny how Judd was an Indycar engine supplier at one point, since the Judd AV's were badged as Brabham Hondas
That whole thing was whacky
But it did pave way for the sigma Engine
The Og 1994 Honda
Underpowered and outgunned, but it still was unique for its layout and exhaust note
Unfortunately alot of that was down to being made mainly out of steel as Honda didn't get Meth
and so overbuilt
Mmmm
if you don'twanna open the Day 3 quali vid
now imagine the honda v8 with 8:1 headers
actually y'know what, that would be overkill in terms of sound
i would imagine
No it'd sound excellent
Figure BRM V16
The problem here is by now idk what about the exhaust made the change tlike they weren't equal but they didn't have centre zhaust after 1989~
And ooooh buddy
apart from maybe 1 or 2 cars in 1990
Here's a car you may not have seen before. Danny Ongais in the 1987
Interscope-Panasonic Penske PC-16.
And those Centre zhausts made this overtone that sounded like a Stukka
Facts
So lay that over a Yamaha R1 and there we go
Just going back, it's a shame this didn't work either, alot of these shapes were kinda goofy but super hot
They're just very barebones but not anorexic
And then the Double decker wangs out back
It's soooo good
It's a shame the C292 didn't go either coz that F12 would've been monstrous
Well I imagine it wouldn't do much better than the C291, but hey. At least it would sound good going round the track
it made 690bhp
hmm....
@ only 12,600
Could've had Mercedes, Ford, JUDD, Peugeot, Lamborghini, Nissan, and Neotech vibin in the Ritz Cars
DTM V8's?
GP2/FR3.5 V8's?
I haven't even looked at Nippone
Let me find a clip
Video montage of Japanese Super Formula 2013, from Sugo, Suzuka, Fuji, Motegi and Autopolis. Turn up the sound!
I meant to say Super Formula/Formula Nippon btw
Oh heck yea dude
Remember, the HSV-010 used a Formula Nippon engine
Yeah but that doesn't mean they do the HSV's exhaust
time to bring up the McLaren and Pagani Exhausts
https://youtu.be/1_FQ-9wrUhM?t=82 it feels a bit weird seeing an HSV-010 with a double exhaust layout

IT'S GOT THE 'MONICS
And a legendary Scotsman at the wheel
I don't get why this is so hard to do now to help pep the schnoise quality now we're in the spot we're in
The biggie for me is the Indy V6 as you could likely make that akin to a Superleague V12 note
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xgSBztxGXDI So, something like this? (sorta?)
I hear on some high quality audio rips a hint of that tone on low rev on throttles and I just wish it was sonic unleashed
Oh crikey you can hear something up there... Huh
I always wondered why many F1 teams in the 1980s never used the same exhaust layout Ferrari used when they tested the 126C4 at Brands Hatch in that one video
It seems that, from a video on 12:1 headers that the cons outweigh the pros
What are the cons?
Like weight, having to further tune their length for the right powerband
That powerband being more biased to top end peaks
Which is why NASCAR usually used it for restrictor Superspeedways as you're up there only
And packaging
Ah.
That's as far as I understand
The sounds of restrictor plates have changed a lot over the past 20+ years or so and since I was bored I decided to make this compilation of the whole change of the sound.

But who gives one when everything's spec anyway
Use hybrid torque ion know
The example I think of is the Cadillac LMDh with a centre zhaust
What if the LMP3's had a center exhaust
I want you guys to listen very closely and hopefully recognize how different of a pitch each team/manufacturer had when it came to the sound of their car

ECR sounding MIGHTY
That's an X right dere tell yew whut
THAS WHAT AM SAYIN
I have said this a bunch in the r/Indy server that the critique of those engine notes would've been blunted by an 8:1
Mhm.
Coz even in 2000 you had a phew as it was the transition, and I posit that 8:1's do Flatties better as I don't tend to like Flat Planes as is
Jr's run looks insane, that thing looks planted
Oh.... 8:1 headers during the 2000's in the IRL/Indycar Series would've been nice, too....
Why do you sound disappointed?
I'm not disappointed. I just remembered the 2000's
Bad idea
I'm also curious to know how the 2010-2011 Honda V8's would've sounded with 8:1 exhaust, cause normally, the exhaust note these things produced were so nasal sounding
Mmm, the only exception to this rule, which I'd forgive... Is that 1994 500i
Because it's simple, quiet note was sinister
Yup
Tho if everything else is screaming like a WW2 dogfight then even with a central exhaust it might still be such a big contrast
You could add these dreams to pretty much every engine bar sya the Offy which you know... Is only 4 anyway
The Novi, the Ford/Foyt, the Eagle-Chevrolet's, etc.
Like the 1997-2002 tones would be ear shatteringly high
You know what would also be ear shatteringly high that comes from the same era?
if CART used 8:1 headers, especially when CART had that 16000 RPM rev range
De Ferran's record lap plus those headers = Madness
Classic.
Woah 😳
The Interscope-Porsche Indycar
And this was before Porsche became a full on manufacturer in Indycar
@noble tree how’s the model coming along
Porsche wanted to enter in 1981 with a 2.65 Single turbo version of the Typ.935, but their threat of being an endurance based engine having good power the entire time led particularly AJ Foyt to lobby the boost levels of it
So Porsche left, Interscope used a DFX, and the engine landed in the 956
And the rest of the 956’s track record was history
A Pescarolo Courage C60?
Close
C65?
✅✅✅
Very cool
Whilst I’ve been away it’s had full strip down and rebuild and changed to paddle shifts with a new radio system installed
Neat
A Pescarolo with the Gulf scheme and Xbox sponsorship, is one of the things you would never believe to see.
65 years apart
Next stop spa classic
What is the difference between the 8 and the 9?
The xjr-9 Small developments in the aero, a shorter car, and bit lighter
Not a lot but small changes
Ah ok
How’s the model coming along u got the decals yet?
I haven’t gotten the silk cut decals yet but I have started on the purple in yellow
No pics though
Nice
"You can shut the gate on this one, Maxy! It's the duck's guts!"
Allan Moffat!
The lola in the picture on the right was at donington last year
@blazing drift
Lola t92/10
A closed cockpit f1 car
😂
I’m kinda hoping it’s at Le Mans classic this year whilst I’m working
The start ups at donington were brilliant
Although the xjr-9 I work on was something else
Were you there this year where the brun was?
Nah I wasn’t at donington this year
We only had an e-type going so I wasn’t needed
Those pipes go on for a minute huh?
Yeah haha
I kid u not
We were going to get a 12 a few months ago
Then the guy never bought it
The French messed it up
No idea why the guy moved it to another team
Here’s a challenge for you tho
Guess the car based off just the tub
Fair play if u can
Nope
Shiiit
It first raced at Le Mans in 2003
😂
@blazing drift ur first clue is it raced first at Le Mans in 2003
S101?
Nope
OH COCK IT'S THE LISTER
Next clue is it’s an lmp2 car
C65?
I was gonna say it can't be the MG
ew
@blazing drift that’s the lister
I was on about the Storm LMP
Oh haha
The King of the Mountain
Go Brock and Broc!
@muted hamlet it’s got some more on it, still got a long ways to go, and the decals for this kit are kind of crap so I’m doing my best to keep them from getting wrinkly… it’s not going so well. Oh well, I’m trying my best
Kind of disappointed with the kit in general, the fitment is quite poor and for how much I paid for it its lacking some serious details, like for example I had to make its brake calipers, as the kit just had discs 🙄
Once again, nothing is really glued, so don’t worry too much about fitment in that picture
That still looks really good for what u have
I don’t see anything terrible from this angle
I’m no collector either tho
Ye he has done a good job with what he has got
Thats the one I work on
Which is the one he based his off
Irl car, or just a good display?
No the real deal
Damn what kinda money you got
The last chassis for the xjr-9 ever produced
I wish I did own it
I just work for millionaires
Fair enough
What job
Historic motorsport mechanic
ooh
Saw that in another channel
either this is an elaborate troll or you’ve got hella connections
My dad
Dad moment
Ye haha
Meanwhile im exactly the same age and basically stuck at home cuase my mum’s neurotic af
Haha
Literally mfw
I do have a friend who’s potentially going into f4 though
I wish I’d had the chance to race
There’s always nascar lol
I’d have to get money first
But I mean driving the jag around the paddock ain’t to bad
Damn
Uncle’s a car guy with a pretty large garage, currently has 5 cars in it
One problem
Im in urban uk and he’s in the middle of bumfuck nowhere in france
i mean i’d consider 5 cars to be a lot
He’s currently restoring a t25 volksvagen van but also has an old peugot, a beetle that’s in pieces and a citoren mehari
Think he has another but i forgor💀
damn
Have u heard of demon tweeks?
this make me want to commit grand theft as just a bit of trolling
Probably at some point but if i did i can’t remember what it is
It’s a motorsport shop basically
But that’s what he owns
The owner of the jag
Damn
We have loads of rich people bring cars to us
Then we look after them
We specialise in Jaguar e-types but have a few other cars
✨👌
GReddy Trust have one of the best schemes
Just started watching f1 when does DRS appear
Ye but the 956 isn’t competitive in any group c series so it isn’t worth racing
Compared to any other group c that has ever raced the 956 is one of the slowest so it’s a museum piece and would be no point racing it
That’s why the owner puts so much money into his xjr-9 instead of maintaining that
Like he is spending 7 grand on a radio system for it
For the xjr-9
As in that 956 or all of them? Coz if all that makes negative sense
Literally got my Gran Turismo garage in real life. Living the dream!
All pretty much
In a few years the group c class developed a lot and the early group c cars were incredibly slow compared to the later versions
Ye he has a bit to much money
😂
But that’s what he does collects cars stores them for a few years then makes 300k profit selling them
@muted hamlet well, this is where it stands until I can hopefully get those silk cut decals
And don’t worry, I’ll get the green on the lights and front lip, just trying to get through body decals first so that I can do the clear coat over them and then mask stuff off for painting
Looks great good job
Can’t beat this tho
Ihttps://www.ultimatecarpage.com/images/car/1440/Jaguar-XJR-8-10419.jpg
Hmm... Something's off with the Covers on the Silk
Rookie error
U have mistaken the 8 for the 9
The silk cut 9 kinda had the same covers as the imsa versions
Well at Le Mans
yeah but they look the same
The headlight covers are the same
Okay but that wasn't the point of the conversation
Congrats @blazing drift, you're now on lap 30
Ok but the 9 did have the same covers at Le Mans
@noble tree the one u made
Le Mans 1988
There u go @blazing drift
Exact same cover
Also @blazing drift here are 6,8,9,10,11,12,14
And u can see the difference between the 9 and 8
rear wing profile and HEadlights
It was also longer and wider
But can’t see width theee
There*
Only one of the 3 turbo models, based
Challenge for anyone who wants to try
Zoom in on the xjr and tell me what’s wrong with it
splitter
Ye no air flow getting under the car so the diffuser isn’t doing any work
There is a person who gets paid to do the setups on the xjrs here in England and he charges £1000 ish to set them up and the one above was setup by him and that is the outcome
We set ours up on our own and it won Le Mans classic
Bruh, man does setups with a mallet?
Also have a uh, lightly damaged 1:43 model i found in a tupperware from the early 2000s at my grandmas
Xjr-12
That xjr-8 on the wall is most likely a show car
you have 20
Idk what does it say on the bottom
?
the one you're working on is 20
Oh no that’s an xjr-9
ah
And it ran as 21 just 20 for spa
Yeah most likely
im guessing the 917 isn't tho
i think they might have used a show car there as its hung on the wall and you cant risk a real one falling over
kind of a shame tho tbf but he
y
Again most likely a show car
how so
Porsche made a shit ton of 917 chassis cos they had a tendency to fail in a crash so just made loads wheee as there isn’t many engines so easy to make a show car
oh i get what you mean
so no engine
i thought you meant fake car like the xjr we were just talking about
damn 😔
This is a legit one and it sold for $25 million ish
It’s rare u see legit Le Mans cars cos most are in private collections
I’m just lucky to work on the real deal
😔 🥲
I mean most race cars in museums are replicas
There’s the odd one u will find that’s real like a mass produced race car
But with ones like that where only idk like 15 were made
They tend to be replicas
hm
Also my best bet is that that’s an ixo model
Ye models from spark and ixo don’t put there brands on them
Bburago tend to put there brand on the cars
oh also idk how old/new ixo are but its likely from mid-late 90s-2010 as thats the kinda era the other cars i found in there were
seems pretty well detailed tho
Yeah ixo are quite good with detail
Spark is ur best type tho I’d say
But expensive
underside is flat plastic with only the words jaguar xjr and 1:43
Yeah ixo
flat sheet of plastic
how old is the ixo model then
I’ll find out one minute
if it is why was it stuffed in a tupperware with no care with a bunch of 'toy' models
like jada and hotwheels
and matchbox
Idk some people don’t take into account the care models need
Some people take care of them
Some don’t
may or may have been me 11 me with my bburago 1/24 collection 😭 😔
Haha
It’s not worth loads
U could get maybe £20 at most if u sold it in good condition
my poor viper acr is stanced at this point lmao
Haha
oh btw i also have a 1:64 v16t, got the last one on modelmatic before it went out of stock
I mean this is my small collection
Let’s see
my ass dropped it so its missing a mirror
but the one left is driver side so more period accurate lamo
Haha
Nice
yeah
Mine is literally just this kit but LeMans
I did have this at one point but sold it
im in the habit of collecting 1:64 cars, kinda on hiatus rn cuz im hemmoraging money through small expenses irl
gawt dam
I like 1:18 scale
I found an xjr-9 but it’s 2 grand 😭
i like 1:64/1:24 cuz i can afford them
yeah
For decent price
i have a bburago 1:18 range rover and its not awful in terms of detai
Yeah
my uncle has a few 1:18 bburagos from the mid 90s
Nice
before they got bought out
I saw an e-type not to long ago but didn’t get it cos it was a 1974 version
😔
Cos I work on jag e-types as well
ouch
And it’s 1960s we work on
my thoughts and prayers, he had to be exposed to the e type revision
😔
Haha
based
i have a few hotwheels premiums, a prelude, countach, chiron, speedtail, agera and a mancuso corvette; a mini gt r32 zippo/bp car and a ctr anniversiary and uhh
para 64 v16t
Nice
thats my 1:64 collection
kinda on pause rn read this
tho
once my money back up i'll find myself a few more
U should get some race car models as well always good addition to a collection
Send me some pictures
My dad built a p34
Replica race car
hoo wee mama
https://www.model-car-world.co.uk/ keeping my eyes peeled on this site for good cars
At Model Car World, we have a wide range of 1:18 Diecast Model cars for you to choose from.
most of the brands they stock arent too expensive
ikr
Quite possibly my dream model
ive got a few other sites bookmarked and the cars on them regularly go for 1-50
100-500*
Damn
Haha
Just work hard and save ur money
i want this but i cant permit 59 dollars when im only on 150 pounds total
Ye but for future
It’s not a family business
didn't you say you and your dad worked on cars
Haha
Making it would be me racing them haha
bro getting that bread and actually being able to touch the cars tho😭 😔
Haha
i dont even think thats an experience of a lifetime because i damn well know unless im lucky as fucky im never even getting close to that 😔😔😔😔😔😔
Are u in the uk?
yh
Next time we race at donington with the xjr I’ll let u know and get u up close with it
Donington is in derby
Sort of
But donington is really the only place we race it in the uk
Yeah so it’s a day out basically
one hell of a day out
Ye if we take it to the historic next year I’ll let u know
And I’ll give u a tour sort of
If I’m not to busy
Wdym
mum's neurotic about me leaving the house and strangers but i'm sure i'd be able to convince dad if its on a weekend/quiet holiday day
hmm
idk about that
dont have any school holidays around that time
maybe we should move this to dms
Alr
Fuji Grand Champion Series!
hoshino kazuyoshi nakajima satoru car racing accidents
Kazuyoshi Hoshino has a little mishap with the refueling tank
Haha
It really seems so
Was it ixo?
Yup
Nice
Dude my guy was so ready to go
Fun fact I just found out: The 88 Buick exhaust sounds just like one of the V8's that'd come about 6 years later
It's right at the tone at 9,600~ that a V8 without the single exit is at 14.4

👀
Oh jesus, I just watched it, and the thing sounds MENTAL
it sound freakishly like a 94/95 spec V8, but has that growl that's surprisingly subtle all things considered
again... People complain about the noise of the current V6's?
Nah bruv

Seen as it’s spa classic this weekend and the xjr-9 takes to the track for the first time since Le Mans let’s take a look how it went last year 🥴
The legendary Bathurst Ford 1-2
Let me guess, you had to help fix that one?
What’s the rear wing made of?
No I wasn’t out in this one I had to focus on school so wasn’t there
Ah, got yourself out of that one
Ye just it was still in pieces a week before Le Mans
Youch its more damage than I thought, that’s bodywork, diffuser and the rear wing
And rear suspension exhaust
Yeah
If u look at rear left the wheel is pointing in
Do you guys have to hand fabricate all of it?
Yeah
No we have someone who we buy all our parts from
see the second one is good
Bij tempo 400 (kph?) slaat het hart in je rechtervoet
is i think what it means?
certified Dutch-German similar moment
First time out in track this year and the driver has managed to strip one of the gears
😬
Have you guys considered changing anything about your Jags or can you not do that?
No they have to run as they did in period plus there isn’t much u can change other than changing the material of some stuff
Before it all went south
What racing series is that
Correct me if im wrong i think xjr-9 is group c
Now tho its a rolling collector’s piece
It’s group c but it’s a series in the Peter auto racing series
Which is a historic series
Ye Peter auto is really the only series that has a group c grid
It’s Peter auto who run Le Mans classic also
Another car I helped build ran at spa this weekend p5 and p4 respectively
Lister Jagaur “knobbly”
that's not a V12
Ye but u like ur imsa xjrs
No no no I'm far more surface level judgemental than that
Haha
Few more from spa classic
That V12 makes a glorious sound.
Yeah it really does
I could be there with an e-type this year idk
Not e-types but nice
Oh yeah lol, wrong video
Haha
nice

@muted hamlet kind of an odd question, but how do the rear wheel cover latches work? Do you have any pics of them?
We don’t run with them
They had special wheels made so that they could be ran but we just run the general wheels and don’t have the covers on

Here's a fun detail I just noticed
They ran those skirts right up to the nose in Indy
Congrats @muted hamlet, you're now on lap 20
Sui
When Station Wagons goes racing
Looks like a cartoon
It's always saucy when more's going on out back than front
Looks fucking mint
It sure is
They aren’t removable but yes that’s what holds the panels together
There’s a better picture of them for u
I’m 90% sure that it’s the original body work from when it raced 60 years ago
But I doubt it’s the very original cos a ligier factory driver smashed it to pieces when it raced in period
Ohhh very pretty
Rivets just make a stylish car all the better
Ye and just shows the developments of motorsport cos u wouldn’t get them anywhere in todays motorsport and it’s good that the rule book enforces us to run them how they ran in period
Well...pop rivets are still used a decent amount in modern components
Oh yeah, everything used to be riveted. Bridges to ships.
