tech mod packs got some extra love but magic didnt and i recently found these two modpacks and thought their themes were really cool, particularly occultism that was a bit thaumcraft-ish. generally theyre just quite cool, although their weapons/armor/etc might need some scaling up/recipe changes for this pack.

occultism: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/occultism

there may be addons for these also, but i couldn't say how useful/necessary they are

malum just clutters inventory

#

maybe occultism, don't know the mod well though

Plus, out of the two inventory-cluttering mods, malum is more approachable to newcomers/earlygame players, biomancy's convoluted method to get living flesh always feels like a chore, especially because there's really no better way to do it lategame

personally i think occultism is really cool (but i think(?) less well known) since it has a thaumcraftish theme, but also i think there was a new thaumcraft released? i can try find the page in a sec. maybe that would be beyond the scope of this pack since the pack already has goety in depth though

I don't quite get misa's opinion that malum is just inventory clutter more than any other magic mod, the souls and unique drops can only be harvested with a malum scythe, and the ores only clutter the inventory when you actually mine them, and backpacks solve most of the clutter problems to begin with

I feel like it would be a decent magic mod to replace hexalia if it would be oversaturation otherwise (but honestly it's one of the few magic mods that feels like an alternative path to progression instead of a long detour

#

)

#

Plus, the decorative blocks it adds more than make up for the loss of hexalia's decorative blocks

#

Anyways, rant over (for now)
