whenever i try to cast a spell from my spellbook (by pressing 'f' or right clicking) i die and the message that pops up is "Localend sacrificed too much LP". Can someone help me fix that or even tell me why is this happening? (I just started that mage playthrough i use flimsy journal and Graybeard staff i also have the ring of seven curses equipped)

I have the same problem, it's because of the "use your life instead of mana" mechanic in the ring.
The ring of the 7 curses now forces you to use Blood Magic in order to use spells and more.
It's intentionally designed to make the ring gameplay more difficult.
Not exactly, the Blood Magic mod has an item that is an orb, this item stores "LP" which allows you to use magic. The modpack offers a guide in the quests.

I have same problem. Loading orb with blood on altar and it infinitely soaking that blood without nothing happening. When trying to pick it up and cast spell i die. It should store 1k LP so i guess it should let me cast spells few times before running out of LP.
It stores over 1k for some reason. Also 1 mana cost = 10 LP. So it's possible you simply are trying to cast something too expensive still as there are spells that easily eat 2000 LP per cast

And it takes that LP from Orb or Altar itself?

If you make a divination sigil you can right click to see your current LP in orbs

So theoretically you can make auto farm blood alters that do nothing but fill orbs for you that you never need to visit.
So when it says that im the owner, i am connected to such orb and i can drain that LP from it?

Theoretically yeah. Like I said I believe weak blood orbs actually have a cap of 5k despite saying 1k.
You seem to have resources. I'd make a divination sigil to remove the guess work.

Okay so i did some math here and i had 5k LP in orb like you said @vale plinth which is not exactly 1k (Wrong tooltip). I've casted Wisp worth 46 mana and it looks like this:
So 2070 LP : 46 = 45. Looks like it is 1 mana for 45 LP
I used that Wisp spell from Holy Echo
I don't know what holy echo is. The 1 to 10 thing is well documented and not just my own thing. So I assume one of your curio or the way you casted it is weird.
It might be because it was cast from a charm? I've seen charms just not take LP before.
So they definitely have wonky interactions

So i speak with @grim nymph about it and it depends of the rarity of the spell. Common spell costs 1 mana = 1 LP looks like
The LP cost is calculated with a Formula
Formula: ManaCost x spellLevelMultiplier x spellRarityMultiplier
the rarity multiplier is:
Common -> 1
Uncommon -> 2
Rare -> 3
Epic -> 5
Legendary -> 10
Interesting
For example, Wisp Level 9 (Epic)
Mana cost: 46
Level: 9
Rarity: Epic (5)
46 x 9 x 5 = 2070
so for that one you use 2070 of LP

Yeah the conversion is kinda too much, so basically at early game spells are dead. Mid to Late game they will be outperformed by any melee build easily too
Ehhh. Late game with proper building and with how spammable they are with the ring iron spells can be disgusting.
I haven't hit end game in this pack obviously
But that's what I've observed in other packs without the ring benefit.
