Why are you applying for this position?: I'm not a big marine player, but I am a big xenomorph player. Xenomorph tends to be inherently more punishing because you only have about one chance to get things right until you are round removed, and need to wait in queue for either a burrowed or a capture, the latter not happening often past the beginning of the round. I want to make the CMU experience smoother and easier for both newer and regular xeno players alike.
What do you think makes a good member of our mentor team?: I'm a patient person, which is what a mentor should be. I am quick to answer questions people may have, whether that be in-game or in the discord, and you can probably see me chiming in the gameplay-help channel if someone asks a xeno related question, or explaining something to someone LOOC. I usually tend to keep things brief assuming most people are at least somewhat versed in xeno mechanics, but I'm happy to get into detail whenever, as will be required of me regardless.
What do you think an advisor should be able to interfere with IC? What should they leave to the normal players?: An advisor should be able to moderately interfere IC so they can steer a player into the right direction, such as explaining game mechanics, game rules, and things similar. But they can also be a constant guide by someone's side if need be. Though a portion of the gameplay, unless otherwise needed, should be left to the player being guided so if they wish, they can figure some things out on their own, or be taught by other nearby players for a more "natural" learning experience. An advisor should be able to spot when a person needs help, regardless.
