Short Desc & Pay:
Good day code people. I am posting a bounty for the creation of a tram / train system for the game. The code bounty will stand at £35, or $46.70 (as of 08/06 exchange rate) for you yanks - I will pay the conversion fee as well (if it's not already automatic). Payment will be via Paypal, though I am open to alternate methods. No cryptocurrency thank you.
Long Desc:
Once I finish up mapping Unit (and a few small wildcard prefabs), I will be moving on to a factional ship map. It might be the size of the Almayer, probably a bit less. I would like to put a tram on it's own Z-level (in amongst an underfloor maintenance) so that crew can transition between three stations (CIC, Medical, Engineering). So off the bat this will need to be compatible with being on a different Z-level (no expectation to move in-between Z-levels).
The tram will not be for carrying the blueberries to the dropships, but so that shipboard staff (and the cargo they carry - would a req tech like this?) can move between departments rapidly and in style. You would also be able to live out your wildest fantasy of getting chased by xenomorphs while on the tram (or killing one with it).
This would require sound work if not sprite work as well to make it abundantly clear a tram is approaching, and to provide some cool SFX to its riders while the tram is moving.
The tram will need to function like the ones in SS13 / 14, where it moves along a straight line and you seamlessly move with it. Ideally the system would be capable of being its own grid rather than an entity, allowing people to customize it (tram mess hall?? illegal card game??). Perhaps one day I'd like it to be capable of moving in all directions but for now straight line will do. It will need a call button at stations, and a simple control panel to move between stations. If it can open and close podlocks / shutters as it goes, that would be a bonus.
After I'm done with the ship map, I'd like a system like this to be able to place on a far far upcoming planet map that will take miners out to the colony mine and back to the processing plant (both will be fucking miles away from eachother).
