Cargo in the past post economy update lost almost all its influence in a round and was turned into essentially amazon delivery.
When cargo got back its ability to make money off crates they immediately had round impact and importance and were a center of interaction for CLF/Colony during an insurgency round.
While the idea of nerfing what colony req has access to, I would like to propose the opposite. Make colony req have access to better equipment.
Colony at the current moment, its current value is only the administrator and their budget, so CLF just targets them and steals the entire colonys wallet. Making req and its selection of gear be of some importance to CLF would make them think twice about gunning down everyone in the colony with no rp, and try to get logistics to side with them. Because in usual rotations, the colony outside of 4 Colony PD officers are pretty much at the whim of CLF.
Colonists having the ability to at least put up a fight without CLF aid or against CLF with similar equipment is an interesting dynamic that outright stripping colony req of their options feels to me like a step in the wrong direction.
Easy additions could be as simple as just better body armor than the CLF vest, or more rifle options. Things that aren't too different than CLF just looting govfor bodies
