SS14 Username: Ratpack

Do you understand the level of roleplay expected from HRP WL roles?

Yes

Which job are you most interested in? Why is it considered an HRP WL role and what do you believe is expected of you while playing it?

UA Ambassador. Having the ability to create stories with imperitive mechanics (such as calling for troops in times of crisis) can always permit an interesting story. When playing as a UA ambassador, monitoring the situation is imperative, as well as active communication with all administrative and command elements on the ground. You can't just call for support at the slightest inconvience. You have to have belief in local security forces and the corresponding garrison (if available) handling the situation until its visible that they can't. I plan on making a third character dedicated committed to this role alone.

What is CMU’s golden roleplay rule? (found in the rules page, highlighted in green). What does it mean?

Winning is never more important than roleplay or the story being created Putting the story and world before your individual ambitions as a player is paramount to making a healthy roleplay environment. There was a roguefork I play in SS13 called Vanderlin where they have something similar known as "the rule of interesting" that similarly applies. Creating memorable moments that can be told to others is what makes SS13/SS14 so special.

What do you enjoy most about CMU and what do you think could be improved?
The variety of gameplay and storytelling is really what sets it apart from almost all CM forks. Even in CM13 PvE, it doesn't really match what is offered here (no offense to them). The fact that I have had so many different interactions and stories whilst playing here is really what drives me to stick around. In terms of improvement, I think for the third parties, there should be a greater explanation of expectations and duties for all of them, especially in regards to the constables and other civilian/non-military security elements. In addition, I think it could be really good to see features like a CLF defection mechanic, which in turn could allow for more direct military intelligence gathering through interrogation. Whilst CLF defections can be done through roleplay means alone, having a feature in conjunction to this RP can permit more solid and meaningful engagements via a mechanical foundation. In addition, seeing to see if there are any features that can space out reinforcements to match the situation on the ground (in relation to insurgency) instead of it being spammed in mass could be a great addition.

What character names do people know you as?

Stavros 'Snoopy' Rodilis (GOVFOR)
Don Cohen (Colonist)

**How many hours do you have on relevant servers (CMU [AU14/UA14 included], CM13, CM13 PvE, RMC, or similar SS14 servers)? **

RMC: 40ish hours
CM13 PVE: 20 hours
