Uniform Regulations

Personnel are required to be wearing appropriate clothing during operations. SOP may not be changed to allow personnel to deploy without clothes or uniform.

  • Deploying personnel must be wearing their uniform, boots and chest protective armor at minimum. Suit webbings may be used in the place of chest protective armor.
  • All positions required to wear armor at all times may temporarily remove it while on a friendly ship and/or installation or after an operation has ended for social events, such as memorials. Other forms of clothing like service jackets may be used during this time.
  • All personnel must wear their uniform and assigned footwear, or a standard issue replacement.
  • Auxiliary staff and support crew should not be in armor unless the ship/base is on a security alert, or are deploying to the AO.
  • MP/Law Enforcement, combat personnel and flight crew are permitted to wear armor on the ship/installation, as part of their job.
  • Any headwear that is worn must be standard issue, or an acceptable replacement. Exceptions must be made for reasonable religious headdress.
  • Anyone of higher rank may still order any personnel below them to wear a protective helmet or vest unless they are a rifleman who has not been issued a special weapon.
  • Folding or otherwise shortening uniforms is permitted, provided no damage comes to the uniform.

Grooming Standards

  • Personnel must maintain a professional and operationally safe hairstyle while on duty.
  • Hair may be worn down to the shoulders in a bob or similar style, but must be tied back if it extends any longer.
  • Tied-back hair, such as ponytails, may extend to the small of the back but must not exceed that length or wrap around to the front.
  • Facial hair is permitted but must not extend below the neckline or past the face in any direction.
  • Hair must be of a natural color.

OOC Note: Character appearance is a significant part of roleplay and can greatly impact a player's experience. For this reason, if you choose to enforce grooming standards, you must allow the player to either adjust their own hairstyle or choose a new one for themselves.

Command Regulations

Conduct of Briefing

The Acting Commander is responsible for ensuring a proper briefing is conducted before any operation begins and personnel are deployed.

  • It must be performed in an area where a proper inspection of personnel can be held and where personnel can hear any orders.
  • Areas that interfere with non-combat personnel must be avoided, for example the medbay.
  • Briefings at minimum must include all deploying faction command (SLs, JOs, etc).

Command Field Deployment

The Command Staff has the right to deploy to the frontline for the sake of commanding their personnel from a direct point of view. Deployments must be for the sake of the personnel and operation, and not for the personal glory of the Command Staff. At least one member of Command Staff must remain on the ship/installation to man the CIC.

When Deployed:

  • The deploying Command Staff must still command and communicate frequently with their faction.
  • Combat should be reserved when assisting personnel in a supporting capacity, in defense of others and self, or directly leading an offensive maneuver.
  • They should avoid unnecessarily putting themselves in danger and remain close to personnel to focus on providing clear orders.

Third-Party Regulations

You are encouraged to recover any third-party personnel or civilians found in the Area of Operations that are unable to fend for themselves and are not hostile.

Recovered Civilians

  • All recovered persons must be searched on arrival by personnel, with all weapons and unauthorized items secured within the armory.
  • Recovered personnel should be given a medical examination if personnel are available.
  • Recovered personnel have the right to remain silent and must not be punished for invoking it.
  • Recovered personnel may be evicted and denied access to the ship or installation at any time by Command Staff.

Third-Party Military & Paramilitary

  • Third-party military or paramilitary personnel may be allowed to continue their operations if they prove beneficial or indifferent to faction interests. This is also located in the Rules of Engagement.
  • Third parties may be given permission to keep their weapons and equipment on the warship or in the base, provided they are beneficial to the operation.
  • Third parties may be denied access to the warship or installation.

Returning to the AO

  • Recovered Personnel may deploy back to the Area of Operations and request their equipment be returned. Personnel must, however, escort them back to the dropship and/or gate to ensure they deploy.
  • Returning from this deployment requires another search, but medical examinations may be skipped.

Rank Structure

Authority is determined by rank. The highest ranking individual present is the acting authority and holds final decision making power, unless command is explicitly delegated by an individual of higher rank.

If two individuals of equal rank are present, authority defaults to the individual with greater seniority (time served).
