Its actually the other way around with us, unless you are using another alert box from some other provider

but we only show likes and follows on the page it self and not the streams

we are working on implementing the likes on streams.

Devs came back with info - we can't get your total followers via Facebook API's because Facebook doesn't provide/allow this metric via the API, unfortunately, so we decided to look for page likes, as that is the metric we see via the API only.

The total followers counter in your account with us, is only counting up from the day you signed up with us, but not the actual total followers.

#

We have asked Facebook to allow it, but no dice what so ever and even other developers have had issues with is https://www.google.com/search?q=facebook+api+total+followers

That looks like a merged account. The only way to remove that connection is to place a closure request for your account - that will delete your account and the connected account unfortunately.

Hey there guys I am having a question or 2 🙂 where I seem to get confused. So I created a facebook streaming page, and I am trying to log in with OBS Live facebook. But it says to log in with my account. The account I have on facebook is my private one that it set to private where I keep in touch with my fam and friends back in germany. How can I log in to just my page? I don't understand how this works. Do I have to log in with my personal account in order for me to use the page?

the profile its self should be ok (if its set to privet),
first go to the page info and make sure the category is set.

then go onto that page,
log into the se dashboard and select "add fb channel"
this should automatically fill your gaming page

There is no "OBS.StreamElements." OBS.Live is a plugin for OBS Studio. It's not its own version of OBS.

@inland brook of course. I had no problem until the last update. After it installed i was greeted by this screen and when i try to login with Facebook i get the pop-up, i enter my credentials and it reloads into the facebook sign-in page. If i proceed, i get a fully functional facebook account in the pop-up window with no access what-so-ever to OBS

Devs are investigating why this is happening, but I can't say when we will have a fix

Well, the issue I'm having is my alerts are playing back super choppy while obs live is active, but when I deactivate obs live and revert to obs studio they play just fine. Also they're playing smoothly on streamelements in my chrome browser as well.

Go to Settings > Advanced. Scroll down to the "Sources" section and disable hardware acceleration. Restart OBS and you should be good to go.

It uses to GPU to render graphical things like overlays, alerts etc. so your CPU doesn't get tanked that much but there are some problems in the newest OBS.Live version. Disabling it fixes it for now. The devs are working on it.

Hi guys. Has anyone experienced share alerts to NOT work? Because it definitely works for me when I test it from the StreamElements webUI and it goes to my OBS fine. But 2 people shared my stream yesterday and I completely missed their share because the alert didn't pop.

This and a few other alerts not popping up is the only thing keeping me from completely junking SLOBS ;/

So shares work like this:

Highly dependent on the person's privacy settings
Highly dependent where they are sharing it
-- Example being - if sharing into a closed off group, we won't see the share event coming from Facebook

@jolly holly looks like you logged in at least once with that Facebook, if you use a private browser and login to StreamElements with that FB account you can get the JWT token of that old FB account and then get the JWT token from the login you already use to and DM them to me to join the accounts

@grave vapor I saw what the issue is. If you are using the alert widget from a themed overlay, it will show that. I suggest clicking on "Widgets" and then adding the alert widget from there.

That should be visible on the stream it self. If you are using OBS.Live, then I think, but can't guarantee, there should a viewer count on the activity feed dock.

when you login to StreamElements data is shared to the point where Totals are populated (total fans/followers). Latest data usually only populates as of the date you logged in to StreamElements. You can manually set latest data here https://streamelements.com/dashboard/session to show up on your overlay. Yes the overlays automatically are linked to these data sets

can anyone help? i'm trying to set up a Minecraft mod's config files that has SE support that would allow the mod to do stuff when certain events happen, like tips, follows, etc. the mod is using this old guide to determine activity type and providers. does anyone know what Facebook's activity types are called, as this guide isn't updated to reflect Facebook events?

Delete the alert widget and add a new one.

Restart OBS
Start your stream/recording for about 30 seconds. Make sure you replicate any issues as best you can, which means having any games/apps open and captured, etc.
Stop your stream/recording.
Select Help > Log Files > Upload Current Log File. Copy the URL and paste the link here.

(Note: If you do not see an obsproject.com URL, you will need to update OBS Studio to version 22+)

Saw a way to bypass it. On OBS.Live, got to Streamelements tab then click bot and tipping setup there you can log in your Facebook.

mas no OBS/StreamLabs, apareço pronto para fazer a live e até inicia no facebook, mas como não aprovei da esse erro, alguem consegue me ajudar por favor?
Teria que permitir nesta tela, mas por algum motivo, não aparece habilitado para eu clicar.

@earnest scarab That's not a Facebook super theme. Looks like you copied it over from another channel. That doesn't work in the case of alertboxes.

If you delete the alertbox and add a fresh one in, you'll be able to properly configure it.

And for the obs.live its only showing the page likes. Not sure what ive done wrong. Im pretty sure all those alerts and the ones on streamlabs are all ticked. @vocal swan you mean you downloaded the alerts in the store right? some of those alerts don't have like "share" alerts or "like" alerts. That's why you don't get those notifications. Try to use the default alerts in streamlabs and see for your self.
