@sweet grotto If you are not hearing your alerts and/or Media Request, you are most likely using the Control Audio via OBS option in your browser source properties.
To make sure you hear the alerts and the stream also hears them, follow along the screenshot bellow.

Hello. I am not entirely sure where I need to go, so please forgive if this is not the right area.. I've been trying to figure out the audio input/output/sources between StreamElements and OBS Studio. I've watched many videos and am extremely confused with where to adjust settings. In a Stream Elements Media Requset video, I am seeing the Stream Elements website interface with "Media Request" on the left side but I don't have that in my view.....

My main problem is that I'd like the Media Request to be visible/audible to the audience, but not to me. I want to hear my chat (text to voice) and the game I play over the music. I've either had it not play at all, or play where I hear it too, and now as I think about it I wonder if the audience is actually hearing it through my mic

I’m currently having a problem with my host and raid alerts showing up in stream. I’ve had someone host me and raid me but nothing shows up. If I emulate a host or raid it works but that’s it. Any help is greatly appreciated.

@mighty moth Due to changes to Twitch API, we have filtered out hosts and will only show these ones on your activity feed:

All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline

Note: If you see X channel has hosted you with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.

Hey! I have a problem with OBS.live and Youtube Gaming. I streamed for the first time yesterday and got about 30 new subs. None of the subs appeared on the Activity Feed and the chat never connected in OBS.
I had to use the chat on youtube.
Anyone know right away what I could have done wrong? It works with twitch feed and chat, but when I log out and log in to YT it doesn't work.

Hey guys..my obs.live is doing this weird thing that when i open it only one of my cameras is showing..i have to go manually deactivate both..activate my primary webcam and then reactivate the secondary in order to show video. My antivirus is not the problem cause i tried closing it...(cause its kaspersky and it does things like that). The other strange think is that in the source of my secondary cam i can change it to see my main..but only on that one source that works from the begging.

2) In the Target field, add the following to the very end: --remote-debugging-port=40404
3) Open OBS (or restart if it was open)
4) Open your web browser and type in: localhost:40404
5) Click on StreamElements - Activity feed
6) Navigate to the Console tab
7) Type the following into the console and hit enter: store.customBot.removeCustomBotIntegration()
8) Try setting the custom bot name
9) Remove the additional flag in step 2 from your shortcut properties.

I have a problem with streamelements and OBS.

issue
I have created an asset role which has three videos.

the videos all run perfectly in the preview screen on streamelements
if I back out of the overlay and re enter it, the videos don't start playing until I change one of the settings in asset role.
the videos don't play in OBS via the browser link

What am I doing wrong? Why won't my assets start cycling through on the asset role?

It's really starting to wind me up! Is it something in the css code on OBS? Please help!

Uninstall OBS.Live and OBS Studio completely, but leave this UNchecked https://i.imgur.com/LBaHgM1.png
Download and install OBS Studio from https://obsproject.com/
If it doesn't crash, install OBS.Live too.

Repeat steps 1 and 2
Duplicate the current "Scene Collection" at the very top of OBS, call it something like "Backup" and remove all browser sources in that backup
Install OBS.Live and see if it still crashes

If yes, repeat steps 1 and 2, leave OBS.Live uninstalled, tell us that it didn't work and use your old default scene collection again.

hi guys im having issues with my stream store redemption alerts.

I cant seem to get them to show up on my screen even though its on top, and the items have alerts turned on. It wont show up even when i test it through the browser overlay editor for streamelements.

It DOES HOWEVER show up if i go to the sources properties and click "Open in StreamElements Overlay Editor" and test the Alert there. So im not sure what is going on.

ahh okay audio is completely fixed but the Alert wont show up unless i open the properties of its source and click the edit in streamelements overlay editor and use the Emulate button to test it

So...is there any timeline for OBS.Live to come out with an update to match OBS Studio's 26.x update?

The first time, I asked when 26 came out and got a "not sure." I asked again, a few days ago, when 26.0.2 dropped...and didn't get any response at all. So, I asked in #general-chat just now and had my question unceremoniously deleted and referred back over here. So I'm asking AGAIN: is there any timeline on when we'll see OBS.Live updated to match OBS Studio?

The reason I'm so keen to know is that I'm in the Twitch Soundtrack beta and I can't properly test it because OBS.Live hasn't updated everything to integrate/match OBS Studio 26.x. Right now, I'm having to use a Virtual Audio Cable as a workaround and it's a bit frustrating. Almost as frustrating as being ignored when asking a proper question.

Does anyone know why replaying alerts using the OBS.Live doesn't work? I click the button, see the animation, but no alert. I tried both offline and while I'm live and nothing. I've also made sure StreamElements has permission to my channel and it's a moderator. Is there anything else I am missing?

from my stream 2 day’s ago it is on 1:30:35, he used sound bits, but there was another moment my friend sent 500 bits that I cannot find because it did not notify me through chat or my alert. Hi, I've been having an issue with the Asset Rotator/Slideshow widget in OBS. I was using it to show off Twitch Clips for the past month but about a week ago it suddenly stopped working. Can't get it to work for the life of me. I tried manually refreshing the source, triple checking to see if I was using the right URL for the source (which it was), as well as starting over fresh by removing the old browser source and then adding a new one with the proper URL for the widget and I still get nothing. Not sure what else I should try. Any thoughts?

You can check if your webcam has an option to capture in 16:9 but if it doesn't then there's no "changing" it, you either get a new border or a new webcam. (I recommend the border, it's cheaper)

Problem: My alerts are heaps delayed on stream. For example, someone follows, and I don't hear the alert for maybe a minute or two. I rely heavily on the alert sounds to know when things are going on in stream. Can anyone help me? Thanks!

TLDR: I have scoured the internet as well as this server for an answer to my question and I can't seem to find something that resolves it - someone in the Spanish channel seems to have had a similar problem, but I couldn't find their solution, and it sounds like they are streaming to FB so that might be different.

Good Morning. Is there a way to configure the window size and position, on a multi-monitor system, of the Stream Elements chat window in OBS Live via a config file? In previous versions this window retained this information, but it seems to to be completely agnostic and random any time I open it now.

from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

once you log in via se site all dat will be tracced for your browser links as to what you set up and the sign is soley based off your twitch sign in if you want to sign into your do this via his desktop/laptop

I’m logged in on OBS myself on his computer. (He uses streamlabs so in order for us to easily hop between who’s streaming, I use OBS)

ohh alrighty. Because for OBS, you could use different scenes/sources. It's actually quite similar. You can connect multiple Google accounts in Chrome so you both should have different logins, bookmarks, passwords etc. But that's a bit out of scope for the support we provide here 😄

Not that I'm aware of. But you can use the Twitch chat from OBS itself via View -> Docks -> Chat and see if the issue persists.
If you don't see "Chat", go to Settings -> Stream and connect your account there.

They're pretty much the same. The SE one has a small reload icon in the top left, but vanilla OBS browser docks can also be reloaded with Ctrl+R

Recently I've had issues with obs freezing and it crashes the stream. Only fix ive found is to force end obs in task manager and then restart the client.

@real stone Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card, PS4 remote play or Xbox companion app and a PC with OBS in order to have overlays over your console gameplay.

Not sure what you mean. OBS doesn't have any fonts. You have to install them into windows

More than 900 google fonts are supported at this time. You can preview them here: https://fonts.google.com/

Custom Fonts

Steps:

Install the font on the streaming PC or choose a pre-installed windows font.
In the overlay widget settings, select Text Settings
Click on Enable Custom Font
Type the name of the font as it appears in the windows font directory (This is usually C:\Windows\Fonts)

Note: After installing fonts, the browser and OBS must be restarted for the font to appear.

@slim sun If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

OBS isn't saving my Configure Video settings for my cameras when I shut the software down. I changed all my webcams to gray scale by reducing the (saturation camera>properties>Configure Video>Saturation to 1). I works fine until I close OBS. When I reopen OBS the saturation levels are back to default. How do I get OBS to save my Saturation level or how do I change the video input to grayscale?

I've been trying to load into the website for hours, it was doing the same thing last night but after a couple or reloads it worked fine.. I can't load into streamelements.com whatsoever, it'll just sit there infinitely loading.. Is there any easy fix to this??

I cant clear cookies from my browser because I can't currently login to my Twitch account again if I were to get logged out.
I cant use another browser for the same reason.

Any ideas? Or will I just need to wait til I can get into my twitch acc.

I'm having issues and I'm not sure where it should go. Today I tried to stream and my bitrate was all over the place causing me to drop 30 percent of my frames. All speed tests and connection tests show as good and I've already checked with my ISP and everything is showing good on their end. Do I need to uninstall OBS.Live and then re install or could it be something else?

Yeah, this is only caused by your connection, nothing in OBS.

Hi, I had to cancel my stream of a VERY IMPORTANT EVENT tonight (OSIRIS REx) because of the stupid OBS dropping all 80% frames in render and hogging 100% CPU all the time ...

Sources and Stream Setup is EXACTLY the same as I used before, and had no issues with it before
Task Manager showed about 40 OBS Browser Source processes, even though I made sure I turned off all Browser sources manually (from the eye and from the SHUT DOWN source when not visible)
I am streaming 1080p (from NASA) and I am using a SERVER computer (It should be able to stream 4k with no trouble) it used to hardly use 4% of CPU for the same setup!

Help me figure this out, is this related to some recent OBS.live update? or OBS update? or is it something I did wrong?

Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

Speed tests usually cannot help solve this problem and its best to use this guide: https://obsproject.com/wiki/Dropped-Frames-and-General-Connection-Issues

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.

from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

Question about Audio Devices, thanks ahead of time for the help.
Using OBS.Live for the software. I have the PS4 Pro Gold Wireless Headset. The dongle keeps the audio device active even when the headset is not connected so I never have connection or use issues. Just switched to SE from SL and previously OBS and have never had an issue until now.

Hi I was using SE OBS live for a couple weeks and its suddenly crashes every time I try to open. Ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling and also changing the compatibility setting and it still crashing right after launching.

3) If it doesn't crash, install OBS.Live too.

Repeat steps 1 and 2
Duplicate the current "Scene Collection" at the very top of OBS, call it something like "Backup" and remove all browser sources in that backup
Install OBS.Live and see if it still crashes

If yes, repeat steps 1 and 2, leave OBS.Live uninstalled, tell us that it didn't work and use your old default scene collection again.

I'm not stopping it and I have no bindings to manually stop it. The last 2 times I streamed it stopped at 36 minutes on Twitch, but OBS is still showing that it's broadcasting and everything. If I click End Stream it turns to "Ending Stream..." and never goes anywhere

The same thing happened to a handful of people just now, still trying to figure out exactly what but it seems to be back now.

I just tested it myself as it had happened to me and the custom name bot is back to form.

Log out of the bot account in the custom bot options, make sure the option to "Connect Custom Account" is available.
Change the bot to StreamElements and click Save.
Log out of OBS.Live (click the top where it says StreamElements and click log out)
Log back into OBS.Live
Go back to the custom bot name option and choose custom bot account.
Link your custom bot account back and save.

@serene flicker If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

@hardy gull If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Every time I load OBS.live OBS studio 26.0.2 will crash (happened with 25). I'll still be able to access the menus and have to go to the Stream Elements Menu at the top, log out and then use task manager to force close OBS studio with obs.live After that obs.live/studio will re-open, i can then login and reconnect to twitch and then and only then can I stream. This happens every day. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

hey I setup my SE alertbox, copy the link and pasted it in my obs live as a browser source. When I test my alerts on SE they show up but not in OBS Live, what did i do wrong?

@exotic wren To add your overlays to OBS, add a new browser source in your scene. Paste your overlay URL in the browser source properties, set the dimensions to 1920x1080 (unless you changed them on the website) and check Shutdown source when not visible. https://youtu.be/KDvLynUqXI4

A friend wants me to stream on his channel and has invited me through Twitch to do so. I've received the stream key email, but I can't figure out where to put it in OBS.Live, I just usually sign into my Twitch. Any ideas? Thanks!

Yes, though you won't get any of their activity or data in the OBS.Live docks.

Hey starfam.. Having some serious trouble.. Trying to stream right now. But my OBS will not open/load. I did a reset turned my pc off. I then Uninstalled Obs, and then reinstalled it. But it now says "woops, OBS has crashed" I'm sooooooooo lost!!!! Anyone have any suggestions. I'm about to call it quits and go to Stream labs

Yes, but it will be based on your data, not theirs.

In OBS, click the Help menu
Select Crash Reports and then Upload Last Crash Report
Copy the URL and paste it to the chat here.

Note: If you are not able to follow the above steps, open your file explorer and go here: %appdata%\obs-studio\crashes and provide the last listed file.

ok i can't find the solution to my problem anywhere. this is exactly whats going on. I have OBS studio and OBSLive both installed, sperate folders, different desktop icons, etc. every time i open obslive , it ONLY AND ALWAYS opens up the regular obs studios. i've tried running as Admin, opening for containing file folder, and even reinstalling obslive and running it directly from SE website.
Is something going on, where obs just trumps obs live for some reason? i literally have never seen this happen before

@woven meadow The import extension is a Chrome extension, not anything that appears on the site itself. Once it's installed, it's in the top right of your Chrome window.

So I just installed a new MOBO/CPU today and when I went to stream it's saying Failed to Connect To Server, when I go to the settings, I am not able to even change the IP

Once it's installed, again, you don't do anything in the website itself any more. That import menu doesn't ever change. You only work through the extension icon that's part of your browser itself.
