• there are copyrighted assets from Streamlabs in the scenes
• unsupported media files
• media files being bigger then 100MB

1. Make sure you are on the latest and greatest version of OBS.Live
2. exit OBS (make sure OBS is not running)
3. delete %appdata%\obs-studio\plugin_config\obs-browser\obs_profile_cookies
4. start OBS.Live
5. Settings -> Stream -> disconnect -> connect

So i installed OBS Studio on my laptop a couple months ago to test some things and now i can't uninstall it. I've never experienced that on my main PC though, so i have no idea how to fix the uninstaller. Here's what it says:

• Make a new overlay in the editor, ONLY add the media request widget,
• Add a new browser source in OBS, add the URL and set the dimensions correctly,
• Tick the box for "Control audio via OBS"

• Run your MR either in Chrome or in Ground Control (use command !gc),
DO NOT CLICK "SHOW ON STREAM"

• Add the audio output from VAC as an audio input in OBS,
NOTE: this will not be able to show the video in OBS

It is currently not possible to separate audio for yourself and stream if you ALSO want to show the video in OBS.
The only way to do this would be to follow the last set of instructions above and then use Window Capture on GC or Chrome.

Hello. I feel dumb asking because it's probably a simple fix, but I'm using browser source overlays that I bought from Nerd or Die and put onto StreamElements. I've noticed that they are really laggy and choppy. Are there settings I can tweak to help this? Hardware is 16gb ddr4 ram, Ryzen 7 2700x, and all of my stream encoding is handled by its own dedicated card.

2) Start your stream/recording for about 30 seconds. Make sure you replicate any issues as best you can, which means having any games/apps open and captured, etc.
3) Stop your stream/recording.
4) Select Help > Log Files > Upload Current Log File. Copy the URL and paste the link here.

(Note: If you do not see an obsproject.com URL, you will need to update OBS Studio to version 22+)

Hello! I am trying to get all of my alerts set up through one alert box through SE overlay editor. When I replay a tip to test, my alert plays. However I am not getting an alert when I replay a cheer or a gift sub. I also did not get alerts when said cheer and gift sub happened live. @restive marlin you either have your media share playing in two separate sources (potentially on different scenes) or your computer audio is doubling with another audio source. Make sure you only have one browser source with media player on it active at any given time

I recently attempted to make the switch from slobs to obslive, but when I downloaded and attempted to open obslive, It instantly crashed. I'm not sure what I'm doing or if you need more info, but I can do my best. I uninstalled slobs and obs through control panel > programs > programs and features, then reinstalled obslive, but it still crashes upon opening. Any way to fix this?

• Merging accounts only allows faster ways to switch between them

So i added a bunch of Browser sources and OBS is eating like 18% of my CPU now (3900x btw)
But i just can't have less than what i currently have, there's 5 scenes and i need 4 different sources for them.
Is there a way to drop the CPU usage? "Pause when not active" isn't helping much, it stutters sometimes.
The only idea i have is to download all the overlays, keep them on a drive and only have the Alert Box source, but that's gonna really hurt the variability of the overlay imo.

if you're sure it's the scenes, replicate by creating a blank profile, empty scene(s), and try to identify which browser source(s) are causing it.

Hello There. I'm having issues with OBS.Live. I previously streamed via StreamlabsOBS and was having issues with the alert system, so tried moving to StreamElements (OBS.Live). The issue I am having is once again with the alerts: I can't seem to stop the Streamlabs alerts coming with the tests I use for OBS.Live . Both play at once even after disabling everything to do with notifications via SLOBS. I want the SLOBS alerts to stop interfering with my OBS.Live .

Hmm, well if you've got your gameplay going through OBS and streaming to Twitch then all you need to do is create an overlay and add it to OBS as a browser source.

You have to be listening to your overlay's audio. When showing on stream, the overlay is what plays the audio.

• Merging accounts only allows faster ways to switch between accounts
• Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events
• Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts
  If you understand the limitations of merging and want to proceed, please find the JWT tokens (!jwt) from both accounts you want to merge and you will be directed to DM them to a staff member.

@mild dagger I can't get it entirely purple but made it slightly different in spots for some slight contrast. It does require you to use the FrankerFaceZ option in chat settings.

I had it enabled but enabled it again and still not working. I am using streamelements overlay editor and I am still not able to see the animations. Socials are just cycling without any animation.

Latest video widget is also doing this. Not flipping like it does in the video preview and it just stays there forever whenever I activate it.

i'd recommend u doing multistream between yt and twitch at sametime, but if u do want that way u either have to create a profile for each of streams or switch in RT in settings after stop streaming (slow option)

Our Dashboard and Overlay editor are Chromium Optimized. We strongly recommend using Chrome. Opera GX and the new Microsoft Edge Chromium might work closest to Chrome as its also Chromium built. FireFox also works, but some things might look a bit different or not work. We do not recommend using Internet Explorer with our Dashboard as it does not support functions.

• Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events
• Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts

I've had this issue happening to me on and off for a little while and can't seem to find any other posts anywhere that have anyone with the same issue.

I think something to do with OBS Docks get caught up in hype, or lack there of and just get drunk?

I've tried doing things like windows clear type, and any monitor fixes, but screenshots show this issue is isolated to my docks in OBS.

Any Suggestions?

If the issue is isolated to docks, it's probably CEF related (Chromium Embedded Framework), whilst this can be a various list of issues, i'd suggest to check with the guys at the OBS discord.

Now, this might be completely unrelated, but for someone who had the same issue (Horrorhistorian), this issue happened in CEF and CEF enabled browsers, tl-dr: his CPU died or was dying (and it was brandnew).

I got some time yeah, and I think I use some - mostly just things like rendering the game at x2 resolution and downscaling it to 1080p

because that scaling feature is usually driver stuff, not add-ware they bake in with Gefore Exp.

it takes like ~15-30 min

because you need to boot in safe mode to complete wipe old drivers and settings with DDU

and then freshly install a new driver is ez-pz

I'll do some reading into it and try re installing the standard drivers first. - I'm coming off a long streak of trial and error messups so I just don't trust myself right now xD

because that wipes everything driver related to Nvidia

Please understand that every setup will be very different.

Any guides or videos that claim otherwise are misinforming. Your best option is to start with a base and adjust as necessary.

You can run the OBS auto-configuration tool. To use the auto-config, click on the Tools menu in OBS, select Auto-Configuration Wizard, and then just follow the on-screen directions.
You can use this tool to get baseline settings for your hardware and adjust as necessary from there.

Test, test, and test again. We are happy to offer suggestions for any issues you may be having afterwards, but not a list of settings.

It was more towards the controlling obs scene and elements, so I can setup commands where users are spending points to trigger visual elements on the stream. Just my wording that was garbage xD

The obs.live part was just me thinking out loud, since you already have the plugin where we login with our SE account there is a possibility that you could integrate a websocket into that plugin so it connects directly to the webpage and we will be able to create commands on the website like we do custom commands today
