the issue started last night I opened OBS Studio.. OBS.live want me to setup Bots and tipping which I did a long time ago.. then when it tells me to log into twitch it kicks me back to this screen

tracks 2 - 6 are for recording
so mic could be on track 2
desktop audio on track 3
discord track 4 and so on

so using above as an example

@plain sonnet so what’s happening is on my stream setup I can get my PS4 capture audio on but then my mic won’t register in the mixer. If my mic registers then capture doesn’t

So in my advanced audio I need to go in and make sure only track 1 is selected?

for stream yes, anything you want to be heard on your stream needs track 1 ticked

if you arent doing anything extra (as in just default audio (no tracks)) then you shouldnt be needing to play around with this.

all default settings will work as long as you have the audio going in to obs

Hello everyone! i am adding a subscriber goal, but For some reason StreamElements is only recognizing that I have 14 followers instead of 15. When I made affiliate I didn't know I had to sign out and sign back in to the website, and a got a subscriber before I found out and that person is not being recognized. Is there a way I can manually update the subscriber count? If not, how do I fix this so my counter is accurate?

• from the overlay editor -> data on top -> goal tab -> reset progress of desired goal
• from the dashboard -> activity feed on the left -> widget data on the right -> goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal
  Note: Goal widgets(progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you loose followers/subs

@toxic fern I unplugged the modem waitied 5 min plugged it back in. Restarted pc.. and then tried it again. It still won't let me use OBS.Live with studio and the streamelements website still says Request failed with status code 429. Funny thing is I can log into Twitch with no issues only OBS.live and stream elements won't let me connect to twitch. I am at a loss don't know what to do.. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled OBS.Live. Logged out of Stream elements and logged back in.. to no avail. Help

I'm trying to add my current game capture and webcam to this new SuperTheme In Game overlay.....and the overlay is there but the game capture and webcam aren't. That's my issue.

obs.live is normal obs but with the stream elements plugin.

standard obs layering of sources still applies.

add a game capture to 1 scene
then go into your next scene and select "add existing" game capture

you need to use the same "add existing" for webcam,
this is very important as the webcam will not work on every scene if you dont do it

The video in help is no help at all as my user interface is totally different from what the video shows, either that or there is something left out in the video. My profile settings have no place to anything similar to the video. Under channel prferences there is only one place to enter any links and it is for social links like facebook or instagram.

@haughty haven Goals are not tied to your totals. They're counters that go up, never down. You can adjust your goal progress at https://streamelements.com/dashboard/session

Can someone help me? I was able to login my account but i after i choose what page i am streaming for it will just go back at the login page interface but at the StreamElements Menu, the 'Login' option turned into 'Logout'. I checked my streamelements at chrome and it shows this "Request failed with status code 429"

I also tried to choose different page and it worked.

@rugged quail Mine is doing the same thing and i have tried a few things thought it was just me even working with SE Support. I still can't get it to work anywhere even on the website.

They told me its my ISP and i even called them and they reset my modem and still having the issues. Even went to my folks house to login and it still does it.

There is something in the browser sources that makes OBS.Live crash

thats the issue

either only use OBS Studio

or remove your scene collection entirely(back it up just incase)

install OBS.Live

and start adding the scenes and sources one by one

until you find which browser source is crashing OBS.lIve

and let us know which one it is

2) Start your stream/recording for about 30 seconds. Make sure you replicate any issues as best you can, which means having any games/apps open and captured, etc.
3) Stop your stream/recording.

4. start OBS.Live
5. Settings -> Stream -> disconnect -> connect

Hello, I have an old obs.live plugin installed in OBS and I would like to remove it. I have tried uninstalling obs and removing and files that I can file related to streamelements from the computer. Any ideas?

Yes, I'm all up to date. Actually just reinstalled. I have even installed the newer obs.live plugin and it crated a duplicate of the plugin, so it is certainly coming from somewhere else.. I have been searching and scouring for quite some time. @lilac ocean I was able to remove the new install but the old one persists.

It seems that the names of the files for the old obs.live has changed and that even further it is carried in the profiles or something if that helps you to help me. Thanks! @lilac ocean

Hello, first time here and trying to setup OBS Live and Twitch. Working on an overlay for my stream and when I follow the guidelines to put my settings at 1920 x 1080 and go live, the only thing I see on Twitch is the upper left corner of the overlay that I selected. OBS Live shows "Preview Scaling" as "fit to window" but it seems to not be working. Any help is appreciated!

• there are copyrighted assets from SL
• some assets are too big in resolution size

For some reason recently sounds from my overlays do not play unless I first right-click the browser-source in OBS, select interact, click anywhere in resultant screen, then close the interact window. I must do this every time i open obs or sounds do not play. Is there a way around this? surely this is not normal behaviour?

2) Start your stream/recording for about 30 seconds. Make sure you replicate any issues as best you can, which means having any games/apps open and captured, etc.
3) Stop your stream/recording.

Certain games or applications will require OBS Studio to be run with elevated privileges in order to be captured.
As of OBS 24.0.2, you can also run OBS as Admin to give it GPU priority, improving OBS performance when gaming.

I have dropped down from 4000 kbs to 3500 kbs, should i change my processing priority from normal to another setting. or is there anything i can do to help with the encoding overload and dropped frames? to add i also removed all browser sources that arent an absolute necessity

@spark owl Dropped Frames usually means that you have a bad connection with the streaming service(Twitch/Youtube/Mixer/Facebook) and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

Okay so I'm looking for some help when setting up a custom chatbot name for OBS live, I have done it in the past but for some reason the named bot just stopped working a couple days ago and I have no Idea why its disconnected, every time I select the connect custom bot account option and sign in authorising the bot account and the window closes, without the custom bot name being added to the selectable names I have tired relogging, Uninstalling OBS and all Stream elements addons including Ground Control but no luck. has anyone got any advice I feel like I have been going in circles for hours. 😔

6) type in the console this: store.customBot.removeCustomBotIntegration() and hit enter
7) Try setting the custom bot name
8) remove the added addition of step 1

first u need to access the dashboard of SE and go into the overlays tab

it will then show all your overlays in a block-view, when u click the 3 dots button

u has a option to change the overlay canvas resolution

doing so will also crop all the layers inside that overlay cuz of that u will then need to access that overlay in the editor and resize manually all those layers until u have a full 720p ready to twitchstudio

Or unlink the second one, or do I need to close the second one, so I can link them into the first one.

Checking in incognito mode may tell us if it is a cache issue too.

I've noticed that the OBS platform really struggled bad when it comes to games with easy anti cheat. I've used streamlabs for a few years and this was a constant problem. I tried streamelements on I've live and had the exact same problem. I feel this is obviously related to something between OBS and easy anti cheat, even with the anti cheat hook in obs checked or unchecked. I highly prefer streamelements over everything else. I did a test run on XSplit gamecsster and it renders the games flawlessly. I want to come back to streamelements but is there some way to get a fix on this issue between OBS live and the easy anti cheat?

@paper vapor Due to changes to Twitch API, we have filtered out hosts and will only show these ones on your activity feed:

• All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
• Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline
  Note: If you see "X channel has hosted you" with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.
  Note for Mixer streamers: The above 2 filters currently apply for Mixer and we are aware its actually not how Mixer hosts work. We do plan on changing it, but no ETA on when.

When I run the installer for the latest update to OBS live, v20.5.3.629, I get an error reading "error opening file for writing c:\Program files\obs-studio\bin\64bit\BugSplat64.dll click retry, or cancel to stop the installation" I can not fix this error no matter what I try, it would be nice with some help to try figuring it out. I have tried running it as admin, not running as admin, fresh download, update without launching OBS first, making it read only, making it not read only, restarted my pc. Everything I could think of really, I may be missing something really obvious though.. Thank you.

I do have one other problem. When I get a Twitch Prime sub I get no notifications, but paid subs I do get notified about and it comes up on stream. I feel like I'm a jerk not acknowledging Twitch Prime subs. Is there a setting I've missed somewhere? Or do they just never show up in my activity feed, do I have to use something other than the activity feed on OBS to be able to see it? All other notifications pop up, cheer, tip, follow, normal subs, raids and hosts, just not Prime subs.

what you could try is going to your OBS settings -> Stream and use your Stream Key from Twitch

@tropic heath If you are not seeing the OBS Twitch integrations and have OBS.Live installed, please follow these steps:

1. Make sure you are on the latest and greatest version of OBS.Live
2. exit OBS (make sure OBS is not running)
3. delete %appdata%\obs-studio\plugin_config\obs-browser\obs_profile_cookies
4. start OBS.Live
5. Settings -> Stream -> disconnect -> connect

@tropic heath If you followed it correctly and deleted the correct folders, the first thing would be to get a obsreport, that ill send after this message.

if its only those docks in the video, then for now
streamelements > logout (dont log in)
settings > stream (connect with twitch account)

this will give you the default docks
then we'll wait to hear back from the devs if they find anything.

State your issue and your full Discord username along with any other details you think might be relevant.

I have been trying to implement my game capture to my new animated overlay on OBS Live. However, I've been having problems trying to remove the top and bottom portions of the capture so it focuses only on the game and if I move the capture below the overlay, it completely disappears. If it's above the overlay, it extends over the overlay and doesn't look professional at all. Is there a way around this? Much obliged for the assistance.

How do I get my overlay to allow transparency? I didn't see an option for that when I looked in the properties. Then again, does it need to be in a particular source to allow that option? I currently have it on Media Source.

You won't necessarily see a change if you only put a single thing in the overlay and compare it to a single thing added locally. It's the combination of everything in a single browser source, in comparison to having several individually referenced sources.

@honest grove Due to changes to Twitch API, we have filtered out hosts and will only show these ones on your activity feed:

• All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
• Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline
  Note: If you see "X channel has hosted you" with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.
  Note for Mixer streamers: The above 2 filters currently apply for Mixer and we are aware its actually not how Mixer hosts work. We do plan on changing it, but no ETA on when.

OBS.Live is a plugin for OBS Studio and not its own software. Audio is still handled by OBS Studio itself. You'll be better served asking in their Discord. Their support is entirely volunteer, so there may be a delay before someone can assist you.
