@silver tundra Your x264 encoder is crashing. And I see you're using an AMD Ryzen CPU. There are two main reasons why OBS would crash:
Outdated BIOS (very common)
Faulty RAM

So try to update your BIOS or of this won't work, try with different RAM or switch between the ones you have (given that you have more than one stick)

Dropped frames: Network problem between you and the server you're streaming to so check your network or ask your ISP

Rendering lag: GPU overload. Start OBS as admin and limit your FPS to something that won't push your GPU over 90%+. Ideally, just enable Vsync in your games video settings.

If you believe there may be an issue with the transaction, you'll need to contact PayPal support as StreamElements is only a passthrough service and never actually gets involved with the transaction or touches the money.

HELP PLEASE:::: Before I wiped my PC everything was working fine. I made another twitch account for a StreamElements bot. After the PC wipe my bot will not stay in my chat list. I have gone thru the steps of leaving the channel and joining several times to try and reconnect it to my main account I like I originally did the first time I set it up. But it keeps leaving. The only bot that starts now is the original StreamElements bot. Which before did not show after the name change. So I'm stumped what would cause this. What must I do on my end to fix this?

Hi there, I just posted in the twitch support channel, but its probably more relevant here. I've noticed in a stream I mod for that the custom bot name in OBS.live seems to be logged out after 4 hours of streaming. Is there a way of making it persist longer? A workaround my streamer has been using is to open GroundControl to re-enable the bot name, but it happens every stream.

I am actually also a developer with experience in authenticating against the Twitch api if I could be of assistance to your devs

Please understand that every setup will be very different.

Any guides or videos that claim otherwise are misinforming. Your best option is to start with a base and adjust as necessary.

You can run the OBS auto-configuration tool. To use the auto-config, click on the Tools menu in OBS, select Auto-Configuration Wizard, and then just follow the on-screen directions.
You can use this tool to get baseline settings for your hardware and adjust as necessary from there.

Test, test, and test again. We are happy to offer suggestions for any issues you may be having afterwards, but not a list of settings.

@gaunt bronze Dropped Frames usually means that you have a bad connection with the streaming service(Twitch/Youtube/Mixer/Facebook) and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

Hey guys, I tried getting an answer from the OBS discord but no success... Wondering if you guys know why I cant hear my Alert audio on OBS individually when I have monitoring off. ( I checked the box that says Control Audio via OBS, when adding the browser source to separate audio)
So, when I have monitoring off in the advanced settings no audio is going to my headset BUT OBS and stream can hear it. Turning Monitoring on to ether setting gives me audio but also plays the audio on another audio source (causing two inputs)

This is the box im talking about. I've had it disabled for ages now and didn't mind, but I kinda want the Alert audio separate now. Only issue is that when I enable it, I cant hear my alerts & stream can.

@blissful glen If you are not hearing your Alerts and/or Media request, you are most likely using the "Control Audio via OBS" option in your browser source properties.
To make sure you hear the alerts and the stream also hears them, follow along the screenshot bellow.

I suspect you getting a feedback via the desktop audio is because of the mixer interface. Its picking up the audio from monitoring and rerouting it back to your headphones causing a double monitoring issue

Would anyone be able to provide information on how to remove the NDI plugin from OBS Studio Live? I did the normal Uninstall and now when I boot OBS it tells me NDI plugin not found. Alright. So I found out that it is being caused by RTX Voice. When it is off, there is no echo. I turn it on and OBS is picking up the audio it is putting out as Desktop audio in addition to it being the sound for my microphone.

FFS. In my volume mixer. RTX voice is not showing any audio output. But OBS is still sending my voice out as a Desktop Audio.

You can see that the system audio and OBS audio are reacting the same way when I speak into the microphone, but RTX Voice is not. I also have my inputs and outputs set correctly on RTX voice. When I turn off RTX voice, this goes away completely.

This has to be coming from the interaction between the two programs.

For the leaderboards you're talking about, those are in your Twitch creator dashboard settings.

Every song gives a "THIS VIDEO IS NOT AVAILABLE IN YOUR COUNTRY" error, but if i try and control media share from the browser it plays fine. 1) Right click on your OBS desktop shortcut -> properties - in the "Target" field add this -> --remote-debugging-port=40404
2) Open OBS(or restart if it was open)
3) Open your browser and type in "localhost:40404"
4) Click StreamElements - Media request link
5) Point the (in browser) URL to https://youtube.com/
6) Use the OBS dock to search for a song and play it after ads
7) Restart OBS and preform media request via chat
8) Remove --remote-debugging-port=40404 from shortcut

Hello. I need some help. Trying to use a super theme. But, when I put it into OBS it isn't positioned correctly and is cut off. I tried fit to screen and resizing, but it doesn't fix the problem. When using my tip alerts, same problem, that seems to be resolved when I dragged it around on the elements editing page. Manually doing this with the super theme seems like a headache of a task. Any suggestions?

@hoary canyon Does your resolution in the properties of your browser source in OBS match the resolution of your overlay in the overlay editor on the SE website?

Whatever you resolution of choice is, make sure that those settings match.

Overlays in SE and OBS should always be 1920x1080, since they were create with this resolution in mind

Hello, has anyone had issues with "local" audio latency from a capture card after installing OBS live? happens after using obs live for 15 minutes or so but will go back to normal after a little while. a restart of OBS will fix it until about 15 minutes into it again. Anyone seen this issue before? btw, adjust the MS in properties does not help as this goes in and out

Custom Fonts

Steps:

1. Install the font on the streaming PC or choose a pre-installed windows font.
2. In the overlay widget settings, select Text Settings
3. Enable Custom Font
4. Type the name of the font as it appears in the windows font directory (This is usually C:\Windows\Fonts)

Note: After installing fonts, the browser and OBS must be restarted for the font to appear.

OBS live when installed is causing a c0000005 error. my GPU drivers are all up to date on the latest version. not really sure if the issue is with OBS or OBS.Live but . When when OBS live isnt installed OBS launches perfectly fine.

Hello there. I'm having an issue with OBS.LIVE. I've done the best I can to separate music track (Media Request / !SR) from the game and all so I can also record and keep the music OUT of the video...

The problem I'm finding with that is that I have to keep the alerts in the same track. Sometimes I'm playing a competitive game or I just plainly don't want to hear the same music as chat, and so, I turn off the songs in my DAW software... and that also turns off the alerts.

I would ALSO like to keep the songs at a volume ceiling and for that I need a compressor filter on the track.... and guess what, it would also compress the sounds of the alerts. Admittedly, I do want to compress the sounds of the alerts but NOT at the same threshold as the music, especially because one will interfere with the other, and sometimes songs might be louder or quieter due to youtube not having normalization features on its player (OR the player being used by the Streamelements Media Request)

What I need:

A way to compress the songs through the Music Request track SEPARATELY from the ALERTS (the same audio device OBS uses) so I can keep the volume loud and the compressor turns the volume down during music that peaks the threshold.
SADLY, Ground Control Just doesn't want to start on my PC and I don't know why but I believe that would have been a way to do this... (Also an issue I'm having)

Is that ever going to be in OBS.live?

Edit: I used to have a solution in plain OBS that I could monitor the alertbox but it doesn't work in obs.live apparently. So yeah, I'm having a hard time dealing with this here.

There's two processes, one using about 5-6mb of ram, 0% cpu. One using 25-26mb ram, 0%. Nothing happens.

The rogue chat box looks like the default OBS chat dock and not the OBS.Live one to me.
